About this cottage rental
Built in 1880, this traditional Lakeland cottage was originally constructed to house teachers in the old school (now the Rawnsley Centre) opposite. Retaining many original features, and simple stylish decoration, this centrally located house has views of Skiddaw and Latrigg to the front, and a magnificent mountain vista to the rear. The property is a mere two minutes' walk to the heart of Keswick.
The ground floor, slate-floored throughout, comprises an entrance hallway, leading into a bright and spacious open plan sitting room and dining room, with Smart TV/DVD/WiFi facilities, and a welcoming wood-burning stove. The dining room looks out onto the enclosed stone-walled yard, which is perfect to enjoy sunny breakfasts and barbecues.
The modern and well equipped slate floored kitchen features a gas hob with electric oven, dishwasher and microwave, and a downstairs cloakroom leading off the kitchen has a WC, sink and washing machine.
Upstairs the master bedroom, with views of Catbells and beyond, boasts a king-sized bed and plenty of storage space.
A second double room features twin beds and similarly dramatic views.
The third bedroom, looking out onto Latrigg, has a single/small double bed. All bedrooms include cool cotton linens and towels.
The luxury wood paneled shower room comprises a large walk-in shower, WC and hand basin.
Additionally there is an outbuilding to the rear where bicycles may be securely stored (please bring own lock) and shared garden. Parking permit is provided for car park opposite.

Nice house near centre of Keswick. Great condition with everything you need. Really large lounge/dining room ideal for rainy days.

A light, roomy, stylish and functional house in a great location for all the facilities in Keswick and exploring the Lake District.

Just on the edge of town, close to the shops and pubs. Parking a little walk away in town but not a huge issue until it rains!
House was spotless. Customer service quick and always friendly.

Fabulous cottage. Would definitely stay again! Great location, spacious and very clean. Exactly what we wanted

As ever the stay at the cottage was excellent in our eyes. As usual the property was spick and span with all the necessary items to have an enjoyable stay. The property is within walking distance to the town centre, Booths and Derwentwater, hence why we choose the property yet again for our stay. The only issue that we didn't realise this time, was that the car could not be parked in carpark opposite the house as we could do in the past. This was our error in not reading the full description of the property which did mention the change. We parked in the Central Carpark for the duration of our holiday with no issues.

Lovely cottage in a great location. This is our second time staying at Coleridge as this would be our cottage of choice depending on availability.

We have stayed at Coleridge Cottage before but on this visit we were pretty disappointed and will not be booking it again. The lack of adequate parking close to the property is a major draw back especially when unloading and loading gear. Cleanliness of the cottage was not great either, badly stained rugs, discarded sweet wrappers, human hair, corroded cutlery, chipped mugs, old dried food on cutlery and plates. Although disappointing it did ruin our holiday and having stayed with Keswick Cottages before we know this is not their normal standard of delivery but we will not be booking Coleridge again.

A great stay again, really lovely property. The kitchen is well appointed with good utensils etc. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Always happy to stay here.

Another lovely week in Keswick at Coleridge Cottage which is so convenient for annual Convention. Cottage showing signs of needing some tlc but this did not change our opinion.

Very comfortable cottage. very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Good location and handy for shops, pubs etc bit of a pain not having on site parking and easy access to unload and load luggage.
Great service from Keswick Cottages, as ever!

2nd stay in this lovely house. The location on the very edge of town is perfect for a diverse group , everyone can go out of the front door and do whatever they want then meet up later for a meal at the massive dining table. Great to get a parking permit as we hardly used the car.

LOVELY COTTAGE, IT WAS WARM AND COSY, EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR YOUR STAY IS PROVIDED, WALKS FROM THE FRONT DOOR AND MINUTES FROM THE TOWN.

We had a lovely stay at Coleridge Cottage which was spacious and well equipped. The cottage is in an excellent location for both the town centre and there’s lots of fabulous walks within easy reach; the woods, lakeshore, Fitz park and the village of Portinscale which we and our dogs really enjoyed. Having a permit for the car park opposite the property was very useful with plenty of spaces available.

Great central location in Keswick with great views from almost every window in the house.
Parking wasn’t an issue in the car park across the road and the car seemed safe.
The bike shed had enough space for 2 bikes anymore we think would be a squeeze. The house had all equipment we needed for the stay and was very warm and cosy. We had an issue with the fire alarm but it was quickly sorted by the hosts. Would definitely stay again.

Another stay at one of our favourite cottages. Warm and cosy in a wet and windy week, ideally situated for everything Keswick has to offer.

Yet again another pleasant stay at the property and Keswick. Convenient location and walking distance to the town and lake

The cottage is ideally placed on the main road, with a short walk to the local shops and walks. The accommodation is very cosy, with plenty of seating.
Bedrooms and bathroom on first floor were warm and cosy, with plenty of towels and hot water after a day out on the fells.
Kitchen and equipment ideal for basic cooking, with plenty of takeaway options within an easy walk.
Our dog was quite happy too!
Parking permit was provided for one car in the Rawnsley Car park opposite. Second car was £40 for one week in same carpark, which can be booked digitally.
Keswick Cottages were very helpful in responding to any queries.
We would return to this property.

Good central accommodation with nice interior and spacious. Main downside for us was having to keep crossing a very busy main road to get to the car . Pedestrian lights were not working so it took ages to get across. Not good for carrying luggage across and that’s the main reason we thought it wasn’t good value for money.
Bathroom window needs more privacy - as in the downstairs windows- we had the blind down all the time which made it very dark.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Coleridge. Clean with comfy beds/furniture. Have booked again for nxt year.

Great location
Great location and lovely cottage.
Darker blinds or curtains would be appreciated in the bedroom. Outdoor space isn’t very inviting. Used to store the bins, but has potential as a lovely outdoor space.
Thanks for a lovely stay, would recommend.
