Close to iron horse lift, great ski and gear storage. Triple bunk beds really only suitable for kids, but fun space for our families to gather. Lots of games and puzzles in house.

Location is as advertised if not better. As long as Iron Horse is running, you’ll be good to go. Would recommend 4WD vehicle if you’re renting in the winter. Two downsides to this property: 1. there’s an in-wall noise level monitoring system. You don’t really have any way of knowing how loud is “too loud” until you receive a text from Vacasa. And even then, when we asked for more details to prevent further issues, they wouldn’t provide much information. The units on either side of us were vacant for the first few days during our stay, but we would still get messages of “potential excessive noise”. Once neighbors arrived, they seemed friendly for the record. Even offered to let us use their hot tub while ours warmed up. This wasn’t the biggest issue in hindsight, but definitely added some stress to the stay. 2. No guidance on what to do with trash. Vacasa was not helpful in figuring this out. We had to drive into town to find dumpsters. I wouldn’t say either of these issues really takeaway too much from the bang for your buck you’re getting at this rental. Nicely kept place in an excellent location.

The location of the townhouse was truly ski-in/ski-out; we could ski directly from the front door to the base of the Iron Horse lift and make it almost all the way back (after getting up enough speed). The Moonlight Basin area was a quiet well-maintained townhome community with signs on the mountain making it effortless to get back. The interior of the house was super cozy, nicely decorated, and had comfortable furniture. It had the best mudroom/ski cubby/half-bath setup right inside the door of any ski rental we’ve seen bar none. The views were spectacular from both the living area and the private hot tub, which was awesome and saw a lot of use. The kitchen was well-stocked with lots of gadgets and cooking equipment. There were a few things that could use a little TLC (loose plumbing fixtures, beat-up non-stick pans, fireplace controls), but nothing to get too worked up about. The only negative was communication with VACASA, the management company. There was no information sheet provided electronically or in the unit and it was never clear what to do with the trash and recycling. I contacted customer support (call center) via e-mail, chat, and phone and was able to get in touch with someone easily enough, but the response each time was that they would transfer to request to local management, who would contact me (which never happened and there was no way to contact them directly). We ended up collecting trash and recycling in an unused bedroom so we didn’t have to look at it piling up, but I was glad there was nothing that needed urgent maintenance. All in all, a great say and we would definitely stay here again – thinking of booking next year now!

Nice condo in the Moonlight basin area. Stayed in July and thoroughly enjoyed the activities at Big Sky that were only a few minutes down the mountain. Unit was clean and we enjoyed the hot tub!
