Other things to Note
Hazards:
We are a rural homestead please be aware of splinters, bumps and holes
the ground, slippery rocks and
unpredictable wildlife. When hiking or
strolling about please be aware of the
ground in front of you. Caution is
required at all times. There is poison oak on the property.
Please be careful of poison oak (three leaves let it be).
This is a wild place. Hiking is at your own risk. You must take responsibility for you and your party's safety. Bites and stings do not occur often. Most creatures are usually not aggressive but still pose a threat. No matter how well the house is cared for it is still possible for bugs to get in. Some of them are only present during certain seasons. The main ones to be aware of are a variety of spiders, rattlesnakes, yellow jackets, black widows, kissing bugs, scorpions, mosquitoes, ticks and various wild animals. If you get bit, stung or threatened please let us know immediately. If possible, please keep the critter for identification. If you have allergies please notify us and bring
medications with you. Although extremely rare, other concerns in our
region are rabies, lyme disease, bubonic plague, hentavirus, and west nile virus. If you get bit or stung or hurt in any way, please notify us as soon as possible.
The Sierra Nevada and foothills are rattlesnake habitat. Please watch where
you walk. During the Spring, Summer and Autumn months we strongly
recommend using a dim flashlight when you walk about during the nighttime and remember that snakes and skunks are also nocturnal. There is poison oak plants on the property. Once you have learned to identify these noxious plants they are easy to avoid: poison oak, various thistles, goathead, stinging nettles. Several pet dogs reside in the area. They are usually free to roam about, are friendly to people.

The view was absolutely beautiful. The house was very clean and had a lot of charm. Only thing lacking were some basic necessities that we needed like a peeler and blender. Other than that, everything was great and Connor was very good about communicating

We were looking for a rental that slept 7, had 3 bathrooms, one level, close to Sequoia National Park and charming.
Well, we found it. This beautiful home is nestled on a hillside in Three Rivers. Incredibly spacious rooms with a huge kitchen. Amazing mountain views. Lovely lighted outdoor areas with horseshoes and cornhole. Check In was a breeze. House was sparkling clean.
Connor is a wonderful host, was quick to respond to questions and provided a detailed book about things to do and information about various hikes and history of Sequoia. We will definitely be back.
Thank you Connor for providing a perfect place to stay during our extended family vacation. We will be back.

I took my father to see the sequoias for his 75th birthday. The home was a perfect spot to settle in before making the 10 minute drive to the Park the following morning. The house as all the amenities you could ask for and vey comfortably accommodated my father and his girlfriend as well as my wife and 3 year old daughter. We prepared a meal and sat outside to take in the gorgeous view of the mountains. We went for a walk and my daughter stood face to face with a deer that was only 20 feet away. We want like to also take my wife's father to see the sequoias and we absolutely intend to stay here again.

We had a bad experience with this property.
1. The property was sold as 5 minutes from sequoia NP but we were conveniently not informed that sequioa closed and had to take 2 hours from kings canyon to visit
2. None of bathrooms have locks/latch and privacy
3. One bathroom flush was not working.
4. Water pressure was slow
5. Bare minimum things in unit
6. We asked for checkout ext was denied.

There were a couple of things we had to get going. The house was very cold. I’m glad my husband was able to figure out how to turn on the split heater. Once we figured out the thermostat and got the house warm by putting the small room heaters we were good to go. My husband did have to turn on the pilot in the water heater outside to get hot water in the house. We had to go outside and find the heater and get the pilot on, it was dark, so I had to light with a flash light for him to be able to turn on the pilot. Once we got this going we were good to go. The fire place does not work, we were a little bummed about it, we thought we would have this available. Once we got the house warm and got hot water we had a great time. We watched scared movies, baked cookies and grilled. We played with the throwing sacks game(don’t know what is called). The area is great for hiking. We enjoyed the neighbors horses and puppies that ran around the area and came up to meet us. We would stay here again.

The home was beautiful and the views from the property were amazing! We should have stopped at a grocery before arriving in Three Rivers due to limited choices there. But there were some good restaurants to visit. Had a great time!

Great Home Near Sequoia Park Entrance
We enjoyed our stay at the home and any questions we had were responded to right away from the hosts. It’s located two miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park in a very quiet, secluded area. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks for having us.
