About this house rental
River Peak is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home on 2.5 acres in Three Rivers, CA. Three Rivers is a charming mountain town and is the gateway to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The home is very private and has all the amenities that you and your family will want during your visit to the mountains.
Three Rivers is in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. It is not a city, but rather it is wilderness. Many people love the wild beauty, as we do. But you will probably see some animals and maybe some bugs. There isn't a Starbucks on the corner. But all of that is why it is special.
The walls and ceiling of the main section of the house are beautiful redwood, which compliments the amazing views outside every window. All of the bedrooms are located on the second floor, leaving the spacious ground floor as a great place to entertain or just to relax in one of several cozy places to enjoy. The kitchen and family room look out on a huge covered deck and a swimming pool that enjoys amazing views of the canyon around you. The 8 foot deep in ground pool is the perfect place to cool off with your friends and family. The backyard is fenced off.
There are two living rooms. One is a quite place to relax and look out the large windows to watch the world, and likely some wildlife, go by. The second living room has a 65" TV and comfortable seating to enjoy a movie or the game. Our DirecTV package includes just about every channel. There is a Chromecast so that you can stream using your accounts.
The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a great meal. Most of the appliances are new in 2021. All cookware, utensils, glasses, knives, and mugs are included. There are 4 bar stools at the kitchen counter.
The dining room has new furniture and will seat 8. There is another 8 person dining table outside, along with a comfortable seating area. All of it overlooks the pool and the mountains.
Upstairs there is a huge master bedroom with its own private balcony, a walk-in closet, a wine/coffee lounge with mini fridge and coffee maker, and an in-suite bathroom including a large tub and separate shower. The other two bedrooms share a full bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed, while the other large bedroom contains a queen bed and a buck bed with a full size and twin mattress.
A short trail from the pool area leads to a meadow and the home's private access to the South Fork of the Kaweah River. It is an amazing spot to watch and listen as the river goes by. The river rises and falls with the seasons. Three Rivers only gets rain in the winter, so by summer it's rivers start to shrink. Our river spot is normally not good for swimming, but there are other places in town to swim.
Note: on Wednesday mornings the yard maintenance team and the pool cleaner both come to the house. they generally arrive around 8a. They do not enter the house.

This is a very unique home. It was very close to sequoia which was perfect for our needs. The pool was wonderful after a long day at the park.
The home did show its age and it would really be a diamond if there were some updates. Lawn care guy showed up unexpectedly at 8am and the pool guy at 9.

The Three Rivers home was an excellent place to come back to for relaxation after a wonderful day in Sequoia National Forest. Situated conveniently close to the park entrance was a plus. Views out of the back of the house were magnificent.

This was a double anniversary trip for my husband and I, and his sister and her husband. We also brought my daughter (22), niece (9), and nephew (7). We had an amazing time. The kids LOVED this pool. And there is a very comfortable dining/couch area in the shade which makes playing life guard relaxing and pleasant. Adults could have a glass of wine, listen to the river, or play card/board games while watching the kids, enjoying the view, and taking in the nearby mountains.
We had one issue, no fault of the host, when the ac unexpectedly stopped working upstairs. The host had professionals out to look at it in less than 12 hours.
Three Rivers has two wonderful coffee shops. Look for Bean the pug at Kaweah Coffee, or try the griddle doughnuts at Sequoia Coffee. There's also a nearby brewery with a great outdoor dining area.
Both Sequoia and Kings Canyon are a short ride away. We highly recommend the cave tour in KC, and the Waterfall hike in Sequoia.
And my favorite part, Henry Pepper. The neighbor's very friendly dog came up the drive way in the evenings to see if anyone was around to say. So sweet!

The location is fantastic, home is dated but provided everything we needed. It was not very clean, windows and sills dirty, cobwebs on walls and ceilings, above the kitchen sink there were many cobwebs. Batteries for ceiling fan remotes need replacing. Air conditioning was not working in upstairs, temps in mid 80s. Owner tried to get someone out, they arrived as we were leaving. The pool was too full of spiders and bugs for my family.

I’m so lucky for choosing this place. The host prepared everything you need! Very clean and thoughtful. Wonderful place to live and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains and easy to access to the Sequoia National Park. Private entrance to the river is a plus. There is a local grocery store Village Market only 8 mins away from the house. Absolutely will return if we plan to visit during the summer and recommend the place to my friends !

This house made our trip awesome! After2 full days of hiking in the heat it was nice to come back to a clean pool and clean house! The beds were very comfortable. The coffee and wine bar in the masters bedroom was a nice perk! Kitchen was complete to cook for a family of 5. We spent most of our time by the pool and the outside deck. We loved the outdoor living space with good furniture. Nice table that seats 8 and nice comfy outdoor lounge furniture. The diving board and floaties were a hit to my.boys. i usually ask my boys to rate the places we stay in and this house got a 10/10! Dont forget the river by the house! Lastly, the house is dog friendly and i am amazed how they keep the carpets white! Thanks Marc and Tereh! You guys are awesome!

We loved staying at this property! Great house with lots of space for a big group. We went in January and would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the pool and the outdoor patio. The kitchen and bathrooms are on the older side but everything else is great. The host is very responsive and helpful. Would def. recommend.

The home is lovely and the fenced yard made it very easy with my dogs. I had a couple of minor problems and the host responded to texts within minutes- at 10pm at night they came to the home without question to help with a wildlife issue that made me nervous- I enjoyed the pool before and after a day up in the park. I would definitely return.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. The kids enjoyed the puzzles in the TV rooom, and I enjoyed the coffee bar in the master bedroom. We liked the wildlife, the quiet, and the pool. The AC keeps the house cool, but the master stays a little warm all day. (It has skylights and a high ceiling) The master bedroom could use some more privacy for the restroom area, as the toilet is only behind a small swinging door. The tub looked like it never gets used, and the drain looked dirty and clogged, so I did not turn it on. Also, the deck in the backyard needs to be repaired and refinished. One of our relatives got a spinter in the foot, and another large sliver of wood was caught on the pajama pants of another family member.

This is a fabulous house. Loads of space, beautifully furnished, and with an awesome pool and deck. We used it as a base to explore the Sequoia National Park, and it could not have been better.

This home provided plenty of space for our family to enjoy time together without feeling cramped. The pool is fabulous and we enjoyed many fun hours on the large deck where we grilled dinners and watched the grandkids in the pool.

Super comfy and clean with ample space for the family to spread out. Having the pool out back was a huge plus for the whole family to enjoy. Great location, clean, serene surroundings!
The check-in process was easy and the communication with Marc was great. He was very responsive and answered all
of our questions. The property was very clean and comfortable and had plenty of room. The location was also fantastic, as we were 10 minutes from town where there is a wonderful little cafe as well as a few restaurants, and we were just 20 minutes from the entrance of Sequoia NP, and there are also hikes nearby which Marc recommended if you choose not to enter the park. The pool looked very clean although we didn’t use it since it is December and quite chilly outside. There is a washer dryer which is new and works perfectly. All in all a fantastic stay, and we will definitely be back!
