The location was great in the centre of town, the bar and bar staff are fantastic especially Conner especially helping us with our stay
The rooms did not have soap, small rooms, limited parking but most of all, the chef was injured so breakfast was not available, we bought breakfast from the local shops and the Tavern staff member would not let us use the tables even though we were guests, She stated that other people would think we were open. She was rude and zero empathy or help, We had to eat standing up as we cold now not use other stores facilities. Probably the best story to tell about bad service I have.

Convenient to where our competition was taking place.
Enjoyed the balcony overlooking the street. Although the street sounds were present at night.
No breakfast at the hotel. No tea /coffee facility in the room.

Unbeatable location, second time staying here because of it.
Rooms quite basic, noise didn't bother me
4.5
The room was clean and of normal standard. Nothing fancy, but you got value for your money. The hotel is located in the Centre of Meribel and can be very noisy due to partying people and loud music. This is not a hotel for light sleepers.
I have nothing to complain about.
4.5
The hotel location is the best in Meribel. Everything is very close. The best is the escalators opposite from the hotel, that takes you directly to the slopes and La Chaudanne. Almost like ski-in ski-out.
It can be very noisy due to partying people, so it's not recommended for light sleepers. The rooms are of simple standard, but clean. You'll get value for the money.
There is no elevator in the building.

Staff were all really helpful and friendly. The price is great for the location. Bar is lively, and the cheese night in the restaurant was awesome.

location was great
triple was a double bed and a single which not clear on site. tiny bath , no shower. staff all a bit disinterested.

The best thing about this place is the location, it is unbeatable for Meribel Centre. The daily cleaning was also very much appreciated. The rooms, although small, had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The locked boot room is also easily accessible without the need to go through the bar.
Bit noisy but this is clearly stated many times before booking so I didnt mind - earplugs are provided.

located centrally
It is very old, literally falling apart. It doesn’t look like the pictures at all. This is the biggest money waste, stay away!

La Tav is in the perfect location in the heart of Meribel Centre, close to all amenities, restaurants and bars and right at the foot of the ski slopes. Beds were incredibly comfy, views absolutely stunning and right above a fantastic bar and restaurant. Staff are a true delight and brilliantly helpful and fun. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Great location in the centre of Meribel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was warned it would be noisy but it wasn't (although I was on the second floor). Basic room but warm, good shower and nice towels. Nice balcony overlooking the road below, lots of sunshine.
Just needed an upgrade but it provides a basic, warm place for people skiing and the price was reasonable.

Great value, well located room for our one night stay. La Taverne also has a pub and great restaurant attached. Room is very basic, no extras such as shampoo or hairdryers etc.
Really nice touch is that ear buds were included in the room for the noise.
As expected, the build was very noisy. People having after parties in their rooms after pub closure. To be expected as this is well earned about in the description and reviews.

Location superb: right in the middel of village and literally at the free alti bus stop. In the centre of action apre-ski and steps away from shops, restaurants and reasonably-priced supermarket. I liked that you could digitally detox. Accomodation was clean and most adequate for the purpose. Also no television in the room was a great opportunity to spend time outside with family and friends and/or make new friends. Very friendly and approachable resort. La Taverne is open late so there is a little noise of meriment till about midnight but no yobbery and no central London ambulances or police cars with sirens at 4 am! Air quality and water (and coffee!) superb! Staff, including door staff, accomodating and polite. A great find. Pencilling it in for next time. (underlined). NB Train to Moutiers means no need for flying and worry re luggage etc. Great for saving the planet! SNCF service appears very reliable and I believe there are even direct trains from London St Pancras as an option.

There is nothing to dislike ski area wise.
The Covid 19 testing facility, bad at keeping appointments ,expensive, we had to wait 1:15 past our appointment and only one person serving hundreds, they lie about same day results , we departed the country two days later and yet without receiving a PFD file of the results and had to do another one at the airport to board the plane, very inconvenient and un professional
