**NEW! Backyard renovation recently completed! Nestled in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, on the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina, Serenity lives up to its name: a peaceful, newly restored and refurnished beach home that is so beautiful and serene, you will want to move in and stay forever! Please note: all of our guests are required to be non-smokers only. We are proud to offer a smoke-free haven to our guests and do not allow smokers in our home whether they smoke outside or not. If anyone in your group is a smoker, this home is not for you. Serenity is a two story home perfect for two families with a 2nd story front porch entrance and a 1st story side entrance. Upstairs you will find an open floor plan with a living room; a fully equipped kitchen including everything an avid chef could want on vacation; as well as a beautiful new dining room set, which seats six. There are four extra bar stools at the spacious kitchen bar. There is a king master suite, a bedroom with two twins, and a queen bedroom, with an additional full bathroom on the top floor. Downstairs has step free access with another charming family room, complete with a really nice Shelti foosball table and a Nintendo game system, a kitchenette with many kitchen essentials, a queen master suite as well as a kids' room with a pyramid bunk (full on bottom and twin on top.)

There are Smart TV's in the upstairs living room, each bedroom upstairs, the downstairs family room, the downstairs queen master, and the garage entertainment area with Netflix and Disney+ subscriptions.

Attached is a garage with washer and dryer and a fun outdoor entertainment setup with a TV, comfortable chairs, beach toys, beach chairs, 2 beach carts, a large Neso beach canopy, four Huffy beach cruisers, a mountain bike, and a child's bike, a wave ski (surf kayak), and a canoe and kayak in the backyard, perfect for viewing the gorgeous sunsets in the sound just west of the house. On the front porch are four cozy chairs, perfect for enjoying that early morning cup of coffee as the sun comes up over the distant ocean, quietly flooding the waking neighborhood with its warm glow.

**NEW: We have recently completed an extensive, fenced-in backyard renovation complete with a NEW HOT TUB, beautiful sectional sofa and a dining table with 6 chairs that are nestled under a shade canopy. Also newly added is a fire pit surrounded by 3 super comfortable Nags Head Hammock swings. In one corner of the yard hangs a cozy hammock as well as a clothesline on the opposite fence for those wet swim suits and beach towels.

Serenity sits about 1/2 mile west from the beach, just a straight shot down the quiet, neighborhood street, across the main highway, and straight ahead to the public beach access. We are very close to the sound side with a really nice bike trail that runs for miles, passing through the Wright Brothers Memorial.

**PLEASE NOTE: Any stay longer than 10 days will require an additional cleaning and inspection of the property at the end of each week. The guest agrees to pay these additional fees.

Lauralee was so helpful. Provided very helpful information for local businesses and places to visit eliminating the hassle of trying to figure it out on our own. Our visit was during Hurricane Debbie, and not only did Lauralee notify us of where emergency items were in the house, she had crews come out to ensure the property was safe and secure. She was also quick to have a maintenance worker come fix an appliance so that we weren’t inconvenienced, and ensured we were ok with the worker stopping by before just sending someone. Overall it was an excellent stay and we would recommend Serenity to our friends and others.

Everything was as described. We were actually able to check in a little early because house was ready and owner notified us to come on and enjoy. Only problem was the dryer must need a heating element as it took 3 cycles to dry our towels

The house is laid out nicely with plenty of space and has a good backyard with a very nice hot tub. The beach is walkable about 10-15 minutes. We liked the close proximity to many places. Would definitely consider rebooking.

Home felt like “home”.Great central location and house was very clean. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone.Nice cold AC which is wonderful for the hot summer months.Our older kids-the young adults had the basement area, so it was basically like their little own apartment down there.The garage had everything that we needed for the beach like chairs, a cooler,wagon, bicycles,so there was no need to haul extra things in our vehicle on the way down.It was about a 20-25 minute walk to Target and the beach access. The backyard was so cute!Excellent communication from the host and we really appreciated all of the recommendations on things to do and places to eat!

We enjoyed our stay. Nice amenities - updated backyard, hot tub. Recommend darking curtains for bedrooms. Bugs bag outside during our stay. Maybe use bug service or provide deterent for bugs!

Serenity did not fall short of its name! In town for the OBX Bike Week, a serene reprieve is a must after long days of riding and this home away from home was just that! First of all, location is vital, located right in the heart of the outer banks visiting north or south bound was a breeze. And after a day of touring the islands a clean and comfortable place to land for the night is what is needed for the mind and body. Serenity was spotless and stocked with everything one could need when on vacation from crisp linens and towels to relaxing spaces to unwind. And the layout of the house is perfect for more than one family. I would recommend this OBX home away from home for everyone and give it 5 stars all the way around!

Owners are great with communication and the property was true to the listing. We loved having a separate bottom floor entrance. That space was perfect for the kids. The house is well stocked and well located to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

We had such an amazing stay at this house. The owner was so easy to get in touch with and was great about communicating with us from the beginning. We would highly recommend staying here. They had everything you would need to eat at home if you want, everything for the beach to use! It was such a short drive to the beach, that you could walk but we had too many little kids to walk.

This house has everything you could want or need! Everything has been thought of to make your stay easy and comfortable, from linens and towels to lotion and soap, even plenty of trash bags! It is perfectly laid out so my family could stay upstairs with a kitchen, and my dad could stay downstairs with his own kitchen. He loved it. We enjoyed bike rides and quick drives to the beach. We will definitely stay again!

We originally had booked a different house and the 2nd night we were there the AC broke. We had to find another house, QUICK since we live in a different state and were vacationing with multiple family members. Once we saw this house, the owners messaged us back in less than 5 minutes, and within an hour we were at the house staying there. The house was very nice, clean, and overall welcoming to our family. I highly recommend renting this house to enjoy your getaway. We definitely will be renting again from this sweet family!

Property is very clean and full of extras everyone needs for a week vacation. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking as well. Beds are very comfortable with nice linens and pillows. House has that relaxing beach vibe you want on a vacation to OBX. Lauralee is very easy to get ahold of and easy to communicate with! It was a very relaxing place to stay even with 4 adults and 6 kids ranging from 4-14. Neighborhood was nice, and quite, bike trail is close and fun to use. I’d recommend this property to anyone looking for something relaxing that is big enough for a large group, but also affordable for a week long trip!

This property was just as promised. Everything was clean, organized and well stocked. The neighborhood was nice for walking. There is plenty of space to hang out together as a family and the game room was nice for the young adults to hang out by themselves. Communication was very prompt and helpful.

This lovely home is in a quiet neighborhood which is just minutes from at least 3 easy public access points to the beach, lots of great restaurants, and shopping. The owner has thought of anything and everything you might need to take advantage of the area and beach! The linen service is extra but definitely worth it for us. This place has a kitchen and bedrooms on each floor which was perfect for my elderly father. The home was very tastefully decorated and clean. The owner was very responsive despite the fact she was on her own vacation! This home was honestly more than we needed but the price and location could not be beat. Two families could stay here without too much trouble. Highly recommended!
