Great property, great on-site restaurant. Rooms have fans but no AC, no problem unless it is really hot.
Breakfast was top notch.

cozy and clean room and varied breakfast. Good food in the restaurant.

The room had all the basic needs. The breakfast area and restaurant are real nice, more updated to modern design than the rooms. Breakfast was excellent. I did not use the wellness center but did some walking in the area which was excellent, found signage for a roman quarry and for volcanic rocks
Carrying luggage up 2 flights if stairs was a minor annoyance, no other negatives

Really enjoyed the sauna facilities, enough options. Breakfast was nice. The area excellent for long and short distance hikes.
The sauna missed a swimming pool and the room a coffee/tea facility.

As the personnel was understaffed the breakfast was not always complete. More personnel, everybody was doing their job very well and very friendly, but they could not handle everything.
Please tell the guests upon arrival that they can change the heating in the room themselves as this is not clear. Also, if you stay three nights and the menu offers a very restricted choice, please change it more often.

Outstanding location and room - extremely good value for money. The breakfast was varied and really tasty. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the reception staff were outstanding. Had a migraine and they offered me a large, quality bottle of mineral water, even though I had already checked out. A small thing, but it was really very thoughtful.
Difficult to walk your suitcase to the rooms over the cobblestoned courtyard.

Schloss Hotel Burgbrohl offers great facilities (unfortunately we did not have the time to enjoy the wellness offering) in a traditional schloss.
Modern well sized rooms, with well equipped bathroom. It was all very new, the schloss must have been renovated within the last few years, it was well done.
Great restaurant with a large terrace. Lovely food, with friendly service. Breakfast was served in another room, with a very modern feel to it. Excellent choice of food.
Ample parking space.

Super friendly staff, very clean, great spa (no pool, but good saunas), quiet, nice location, high in the hills with a view AND very great food!
Tiny improvements: really just suggestions: didn't like the smell in the steambath, seems somewhat artificial. Keep on working on ways to become more sustainable e.g. have a digital map of the property instead of paper (everything counts:)

The building was impressive and a genuinely historic landmark. The room was spic and span, large with natural light. Its adjoining bathroom worked perfectly. There was also a small library in the room! Parking was available just outside the main door. The hotel itself was a stop of a popular hiking route which is well marked (about 14km) and goes through part of the town and round the volcanic rock quarry. Nature is a good feature of the place and the orchestra of birdsong at sunrise was amazing. Breakfast was good. The hotel's classy restaurant also served a delicious dinner with a good selection of wines, including local ones. The waiters were friendly and attentive and the two receptionists I met were themselves quite fascinating characters. A very positive experience.
Nothing to complain about though it might be pricey for some. The hotel includes a spa and a one-night stay might not be enough to get all the benefits or try out different treatments. Most instructions are in German, of course, but the staff were always ready to explain in English if asked.

Clean, beautiful, well maintained. Spa was great and the lovely lady who single handedly did the treatments and took care of the spa was amazing…Im sorry I didn’t catch her name. Staff bar one individual were terrific. Dustin at front desk was amazingly helpful and went out of his way to accommodate us and make us feel comfortable… thank you Dustin … we appreciate your kindness especially to our children who were tired and kranke from a long day of travel. They need more people like you in this industry!
Not really child friendly though staff (once again bar one particular individual) went out of their way to accommodate our kids…we appreciate this. We had a great stay until check out when we were reprimanded by the front desk individual for something we were up front about upon arrival and was told this was ok at time of check in. I did not appreciate this… this is something she should have taken up behind of house and taken ownership of instead of souring a perfectly good guest experience. To also put blame on her colleague who checked us in saying that he was new and didn’t know what he was doing? How is this your guest‘s problem? Take ownership. Support your colleague instead of throwing him under the bus… and use this as a teachable and learning moment for a new staff member. And the tone of your delivery too would have made a big difference in our guest experience. While the moms were in spa the dads asked same individual for things to do with kids in the area. They were directed to somewhere that was closed. Perhaps it was a bad day for said individual… we all have our moments. It would have been nice to have more amenities in the bathroom like some face cloths, shampoo and conditioner rather than just a generic soap dispenser.

The spacious room, the spa and the breakfast
We had a huge bathroom but a small shower cabin. For a luxury hotel like this we expected to have coffee/tea facilities in the room. We had dinner in the gastronomic restaurant. We had a very nice table, there was a perfect ambiance and the waitress was very kind and professional. However, when you pay 51 euros for a three course meal i was rather disapointd in the quality of some food: the liver was dry and with nerves. The cheese platter only one piece of the region, the other 3 pieces were variations on the same cheese.

Breakfast was delicious and super tasty.
We also used the Spa facilities and paid for a full body massage which was probably the best massage we had so far.
Restaurant was also pretty good.

Location is wonderful!
Nothing for business travelers. Internet connection was so slow that even a single page was not possible to open.

The breakfast selection was very impressive and super fresh, the coffee was on demand a tasty (a must for me)

The hotel is very beautiful and romantic. The surroundings is very pretty and you can walk very nice nearby.
The rooms are located on the highest level and don't have airco. There is no elevator and staff isn't helping to get your luggage up. The breakfast isn't what it was (due to corona they bring you some thing to your table, no buffet). The room didn't get cleaned during our 2 day say. The restaurant was closed, there was only an small menu for eating outside until some regular customers came, they got to choose from the extended menu.... The price quality is not good at all.

The pillows where not of good quality.
All the staff were very friendly
