Wow factor from the entrance to the checkout . Everything and more in place for my comfort,logistics and applications. The upmarket aspect of this whole hotel was sublime ...the way the media handked the whole recreational area outside the hotel as well as using its backdrop to host such an amazing moment in Ugandan Blu3 reunion . This ambient vivacoius beautifully decorated hotel was perfect for my stay and would reach out to anyone wanting a hotel with a solid foundational flooring woth no ceiling ...."the benchmark has been set here."

My experience with the staff is excellent. They know their job and they are very friendly. So generally, my experience with the staff from the reception to the breakfast, gym etc was excellent. The only bad experience was the noise I experienced the first night, Saturday the 17th. There was a live band that played till a few minutes after 11pm and they stopped the live band but continued with other music until I called for my room to be changed that night but there was no room available. I complained in the morning that I was disturbed from sleeping. Barnabas in the reception apologised profusely and promised to relocate me to the other wing of the building which he did and I slept better on Sunday night. Otherwise I really do not have much to complain about but to say that I had a great experience.

The hotel is showing its age. The service here is great and I would definitely stay here again. The food service in the lobby restaurant takes too long for a quick lunch in between meetings. Not sure why it takes so long. The rooms are very clean and they have a nice size desk to work at. The bathrooms at least my room did not have any hooks for hanging things and no counter space.

This is an older hotel so the rooms are slightly smaller however the location is excellent and the rooms have great views. It is within 5 minutes walk of every site of interest in downtown Kampala. The breakfast is excellent with a huge buffet filled with many items. Multiple restaurants with excellent yet well priced options. The staff is amazingly helpful and polite.

Hotels.com listing showed “airport shuttle.” Did not say “available.” Gave impression it was a courtesy shuttle. After I arrived at the hotel, I was charged $50, an amount I later learned was one hundred to two hundred percent the “going rate.”Juice offered (and unfortunately consumed) was delicious, but made me sick within 30 minutes and for the next 24 hours. Elevator didn’t work consistently with room cards and attendant was unable to help. Staff never called back (despite assurances they would) when we called to inquire about a left behind personal item.

It's not the hotels fault but the noise coming from the "Rock" bar and grill across the street made it very difficult to sleep. It was every night (out of 4) until after 1am. A room on the quiet side wasn't available.

I was not allowed to check in for nearly two hours after arriving at 18:15 in the evening on a prepaid booking. Then I was given the wrong type of room and told I would moved the next morning, and that I could leave my packed suitcase in the room.I didnt sleep much that night because the hotel has a NIGHTCLUB downstairs. After getting back to the hotel at 16:00 the next day, I had to wait another hour until I could check in.Room keycards are very prone to failure and felt like a lottery every time I left the room. I had to reactivate mine 3 times and I kept it away from my phone. People were having keycards reactivated every time I went pas reception.Laundry and other charges are extortionate.Rooms are quite tatty in places.I had to argue for 5 minutes to have someone elses café charges removed from my bill. I had not visited that café at all.
