The bathroom sink sprayed water every direction except down, took some getting used to. The shower had no shower head, water just out a pipe, did not work well for me. Luckily one place was open for meals and was good. I was looking forward to eating at the steak house but it was closed. The views were amazing and staff were lovely. .

Other than the television in my room not working the experience was good.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was great. The spa was nice since it has just recently reopened just wish they had more options. We will visit again.

Service personnel was a little stiff. Parking was a problem (hopefully I wasn’t charged). Not sure I’m sold on the steak restaurant… expensive but looked a little lackluster. Waiter was very accommodating. I would like to return

We were put in a separate tower away from the restaurant and bar. We weren’t asked if it was acceptable (which it wasn’t). When we take a trip, the hotel is part of the experience. That’s why I shop around. There was no staff around. Ever. If we wanted to go to the main building we had to call for a shuttle. The battery died in our door lock so we got locked out of our room until maintenance could come change it. The maid knocked on the door at 3:30 in the afternoon for maid service. If we wanted our checkout folio we would have had to drive to the main building. It was the worst hotel experience we had and for $500 we expected more. Would we stay there again? NO!!

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean with the exception I did find a cockroach in the hallway on the 10th floor and a dead cockroach in the pool. But they said that they would attend to it and I believed them. The dining options were great. There's a lot of local options as well for dining out. I felt safe, the area was nice and quiet, it wasn't beaming with parties which was a great!

Very convenient location of the pools was out of order, but it had two other pools that you could use

While we enjoyed our stay and they gave us a free upgrade to a suite, and the building we were in had an open pool, it was a little disappointing But understandable that the main pool and tiki bar were under renovation. We did not discover this until after we booked. However, we will return.

In general the property was clean, staff friendly and attentive. The only issue I had was when my car was retrieved for us to leave there were scratches along the side as if it brushed against something. The valet said it was noted when we arrived that there were scratches. I would have definitely noticed & known that. I said that should have been brought to my attention upon check-in and it was not. They said they would review the camera tapes and contact me. So far I have heard nothing.

The hotel lobby and rooms were very well kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Based on the main image of the table setting on the beach, I was expecting beach access, but that was not available. There was a small area to access for SUP or kayaking but not suitable for swimming. We were disappointed about the misleading picture, but the actual rooms themselves were nice.

Resort fee, without resort amenities. Even the wifi barely worked. Pool under construction, loud concrete grinding in the mornings, restaurants closed at different hours than advertised. One of the restaurants was never open the whole week we were there. No pingpong, tennis or pickleball as advertised, or equipment to play. Rooms were clean but that’s about it. Advertised $100 resort fee when checking in, actually charged $100, with an additional $75/ day upon arrival. Valet guys the only good customer service we had. No AC in the hallways or elevators. Had to check for bed bugs after waking up covered in bites every morning.

08/09/2024 - Spent 3 days with a friend in this so-called resort & spa hotel and here is my conclusion:
If you like spending time living between a beach and a wood far from civilization - if you like paying $20 plus tax per day in a self parking at your own risk (for the rich & famous, valet parking is $30 plus tax per day, my dear) and walk over a swampy wooden bridge almost six-hundred feet away to reach the hotel - AND if you are lucky, to get a room between number 72 and 78 on any floor during a weekend stay, and being entertained by loud music coming from the restaurant right below your room until about midnight for free! Then, this is the place to go! Spread the good news! Meanwhile, we want to thank Lilly and Caitlyn at the front desk who were really friendly and helpful, their help was very much appreciated and made us feel valued as a guest.

View: They have excellent view on every place (room, Cabana bar, pool even Tapon rest). You can see the dolphin from pool and sunset as well. It was beautiful.
Food: we've been to all the restaurant/bar at Marriot. Food was okay, but cocktails was great.
Service: i think restaurant staff was stand out among others. Especially Leo (Steakhouse) and Lauren (breakfast at Tapon) they showed excellent service
Pool: clean, but i have incident with my toddler . Big rocks arround palm tree fell on her toe thumb. It was bleeding, thanks to one staff (start with K) who helped me to give her band aid/antiseptic.
Thanks

Really enjoyed our long weekend at this property. The room was really nice with a great view. The entire staff were so nice and helpful. One of the pools had some work being done but the hotel had emailed in advance and the other pool was very nice and we really enjoyed the amenities.

The property was very nice. Still rebuilding after the hurricane, main pool was under construction, secondary pool was open. Skeleton staff as it is not peek season. Make sure to bring bug spray, there are little mosquitos that are around all day in Sanibel and Captiva Island. They are actually insane, not eager to return to this area of FL.

Last minute stay as a result of the Tropical Storm affecting the condo we had rented on Sanibel Island. Definitely a premier property, although well treaded from meetings and conferences. Makes for an experienced staff. For the most part, the hotel staff is friendly and attentive. I will definitely stay there again when I am in the area. One thing Hotels.com customers should be prepared for, there is a $25 daily resort fee that is not included in the amount you pay hotels.com. Not a deal killer, just be prepared.

My fiancée and I booked this weekend get away several weeks ago. About 5 days prior to check in, we received an email that one of the pools and restaurants was going to be closed for renovation. We wrote back asking to accommodate with an early check in, we never received a response. We stayed in a tower that we didn’t like and the hotel was probable not even at 50% capacity. We felt we could have been accommodated with a better room. There wasn’t anyone assigned to our tower

The options were endless. Kayaking, jet skiing, dinner cruise, room service, pool that was always open. The in house bar weith live entertainment. Great food, comfortable bedding, picturesque view of the bay withdolfins dancing so close you could hear their noises. The staff was genuinely sweet. They told us the best beaches to visit, gave us chairs & towels for the day. This was just the most relaxing beach vacation ever. Loved it!

Fantastic getaway location. Secluded and private. The accomodatiins were exemplary and very updated. In site service was top notch. Nelson was the best in assisting us while on property. Went above and beyond. The i site Steakhose Courtside Steakhouse was phenomenal. Their service was also top notch especially our server Leo, adding value to our dining experience. Truly a fantastic stay. Cant wait to go back.

The resort was beautiful. The room was huge. The view was great; over the gulf but the main pool which was under our balcony and part of the view was empty. It was being repaired. In the rooms bathroom the shower pressure was extremely low as well as a slippery shower floor. There was no shower mat so we used a hand towel to stand on. Even with these two small issues we would still give the property 5 stars. The food at the two restaurants we ate at were superb. Courtside Steakhouse and Tarpon!

Room wasn't ready at check-in time. Then we had to get moved around. The stay was good after all the confusion.
