It was just gross. It’s been over a decade since I’ve stayed anywhere this sketchy, misrepresented and unclean. I like white sheets without questionable spots and gunk on them. I don’t want to have to sort through towels for one that looks completely clean. I don’t want to be able to see questionable liquid residues on walls in the bathroom, gunk in the shower, and stains on the headboards. I don’t want to see things wiped/smeared on walls and hair of various types around the rooms. And hideaway beds mattresses in couches should not be curved permanently into an upward arc, stained and without bedsheets. It shouldn’t take two trips to the desk to get two sheets either. Hilton should be ashamed to have their name in this hotel.

The room looked run down. Poor lighting over the sink next to the bathroom. The beds didn’t have much support and when waking up you would be sunk down in the middle. When walking across the floor your feet(socks on) would stick to hardwood floor. Overall feeling of ick.

Contrary to reviews I’ve seen re: renovations and such, my stay was fantastic.

The Lobby looks very grand, but once you got past the lobby you see nothing has been cleaned. The carpets were covered in drywall as if someone had just worked, but it was obvious it just hadn’t been cleaned up for some time. Once we got to our room it was even worse. We asked them to please clean while we were away all day, they made our beds and that was it. There was dog hair in the sheets, on the counters. The floors were totally dirty hadn’t been mopped or swept. The kitchen had food on the stove.
Then we discovered there was no door for the Primary suite. We then also realized that there were not 2 bathrooms and advertised, but a bathroom in the primary and a half bath in the other room. Then we noticed there was not window in the other room which I’m pretty sure is a fire code violation.
It seemed as if they were remodeling but doing a horrible job. The vanity was broken to the point that it caught your leg if you stood too close, like a giant splinter. It is severely understaffed, we had to go to the lobby to get all our towels and anything else. They didn’t have complimentary anything, my daughter lost her tooth brush and they didn’t have any. For a Hilton this was all surprising. It seems like they have run out of money and opening before it’s actually ready. The beds were terrible. The pullout bed fell through when you laid on it, we had to prop it up with the cushions from the couch portion. The shower had a straight shot to the living room, because no door.

They are remodeling but our room was awful. Not enough light, several things broken. Bed was comfortable

I’m assuming the hotel is having some work done
1. The carpet felt so dirty under my bare feet I had to wear shoes while walking around
2. 2 giant holes in the bathroom ceiling
3. So much grout and chalking in the tub
4. Woken up at 8 am by construction on a Saturday morning
5. Night staff was rude
Will never stay here again

There were a few gnats in the room. The room had a slight smell of mildew. The room was clean but did not enjoy hearing the roll beside or above us flush their toilet and hearing the water go through pipes.

Everything had a vintage feel to it.

Were to start. The pool was filthy, cloudy and not the same pool that was in the webpage for the hotel. The pool chairs were all filthy with bird droppings. The 3rd floor that we stayed on was half being renovated, the carpets were full of trash and debris old room parts, new room parts, boxes of old bibles etc. The room we stayed in was really not finished yet. There was construction inspectors tape all over showing were they needed to do touch up. One fire sprinkler was above the ceiling tile and wouldn't have worked if needed. The drawers between the bed were broken. The alarm clock was unplugged, when I plugged it in there was no way to set the time. The lighting for the whole room was two table lamps, the bathroom was pretty dark. The toilet continued to run all night, I had to shut the water off to it. The sink had no hot water. There were about a dozen dead flies on the floor through out, obviously hadn't been vacuumed in awhile. The beds were new and nice however. I think it will be okay if they actually inspected the room before they rented it out to make sure it was clean and everything works. Clean the hallways and public areas. They need to drain the pool and get someone to maintain it. The people working the front desk didn't acknowledge your existence as the were too busy playing with their phone. The breakfast was $15.00 a person. We ate across the street at Waffle House for $15.00 total for two people. Good luck!

The property is old and needs(I think is inter process of) remodeling. The AC in the first room we were put in did not work. The beds were also smaller than advertised. It looked at though it had not been used in a long while. We did get moved down the hall to another room and it was better.

Clean nice lobby and if you like a hotel with a bar it appears well stocked

Seemed like older rooms that needed to be upgraded. Found a bug in the room right before check out.

I drive an EV and the hotel is listed as having on-site charging…it does NOT. The very reason I chose the hotel made it very inconvenient as I had to find charging nearby, which is not easy to do in that area.

Shower and sink did not drain. There was hair in the bed and on the towels. The place overall did not seem like it was cleaned at all. Very dirty.

Very nice. I would stay there again.

During our stay at the property, we had to move rooms 3 times due to a plugged toilet in one room; that room also had wires hanging out of the wall above the sink. In the second room we were moved to, the AC did not work. We notified the staff and asked to have it repaired. It was stated that the maintenance staff looked at it but did nothing, and we were not informed, so we had to ask for the 3rd room. That room was fine but having to move 3 times did not make for a relaxing trip.

I was disappointed on parts of the room including:
1.) Lighting was low - no light on the desk - the only light was across the room;
2.) No power set up for the desk - instead, I had to pull the couch out to get to an outlet.
3.) Television (or remote) in bedroom did not work.

For what I paid, I would have expected clean conditions, no ants and a pull out bed that didn't have giant pee stains and all bent up, pool closed with no notice, etc. Pretty bummed (and quite upset actually) considering this was one of the most expensive hotels around.

The value for the cost was excellent. I was very impressed with my suite and was able to get a very good night's rest. I didn't take advantage of any of the amenities or its location because I was so tired but I would definitely stay here again.

horrible Double Tree by Hilton, worst one i’ve ever stayed in. it’s under renovation and service is terrible from black bananas and expired yogurt to bugs in the room and non working toilets and shower heads. by all means avoid staying at this hotel

My room was not dirty, but the hallways had some dirt. Maybe it was the construction going on not far from my room, so I don't want to overstate it. It was different than other hotels, though. the breakfast was very good, the staff was very nice.

The shower was not working. Staff was not too helpful when they finally agree to switch rooms we got a stinking room. They did a Mickey Mouse fix to the shower. It sort of work for one night. The light fixture of the bathroom fell and hit my husband on the head before hitting the floor and breaking. We finally got a new room the second day after the shower broke again. It is so far to please a Hilton member. It was the worst hotel we have ever stay. We won’t recommend it. It was a nightmare.

Needed a lot of maintenance

They are in the middle of remodeling the rooms. So once they finish, the furnishing will be more comfortable.

Looked like the hotel had begun renovations and there were building materials all over the place.

Card readers were not working most of the time, customer service was horrible, rooms need remodeling, bath tub shower was so slick we almost fell several times.

Place looked vacant.

Our family stayed at this hotel due to it being the only location in the area that had a suite room. The staff was friendly, but lacking many basic amenities, ice machine, soap/toiletries in the room, sheets/blankets in the room and cups in the room. While it does appear the current facility operators are working on improvements, signage around the building would be beneficial. We found many toilets (12+) in the stairwells and hallways,

The price and location were good. Property needs some renovation and new furniture. The pull- out sofa bed was terrible.

It's in a great location, near everything and not far from the actual city of Dayton. It seems all the rooms are suites, with sitting area, butler's bar with microwave and small fridge. However, I feel for the price and the competition this hotel need a little TLC, updating. And, they also need to offer free breakfast! But, it's clean, nice atmosphere and staff very nice and professional.

Arriving i had to be buzzed in. Nobody was at the front desk to do so. A random person in the lobby let me in. I stood at the front desk for several minutes before the desk clerk came running out supposedly from the restroom. When i got to the room the fold out bed/couch was taken apart. I proceeded to take a shower (where there is significant damage to the ceiling) but after i finished. Im partially dressed. The maid shows herself into my room and starts cleaning. Puts together the couch/bed and then asks me to go sit there while she cleans the bed that i assumed was clean before i go there. I sat on the couch in a nightgown while she cleaned with my door wide open.

Pretty clean, but hallways smelled like someone was smoking pot. Paid for a king size room but had a queen only available. Overall for thw price cannot complain but couldve done without the pot smell giving me a headache.

Never been to a Double Tree that looked more like a cheap Hotel. I was looking forward to using the pool just to find out that was not operational (wished it was mentioned at booking), I tried to be positive and decided to just use the bath, but it had no plug to stop the water. I reached out to the FD and was told they had none. At arrival were told breakfast was included and gave us the times, next morning found out that it was not and we were charged for it. Room was not comfortable, loud hvac - had to choose between the room being cold or being loud. Would never stay at this location again.

Stayed on the 3rd floor, as soon as we arrived to the 3rd floor via elevator the over whelming stench of weed about knocked us over. We were also kept up by the sound of some animals having a track meet on the roof. We could hear every little footstep.

Property was located in a good area with lots of food options.
