The hotel experience was excellent!!

Prime Sant Fe Plaza location with easy parking in their private garage. No resort fees!! Nespresso in-room coffee is complimentary. Hotel is 100+ years old, seeped in history and decorated accordingly. Bed was very comfortable and room was a nice size. Definitely would stay here again.

Finally got to stay at the LaFonda after decades of wanting to visit. It's been nearly 30 years since I've been through Santa Fe, and this was the first time staying over for a fwe days. One of the highlights was the property tour. You need to sign up ahead of time, but it's certainly worthwhile. We'll definitely come back.

The hotel is lovely and quaint. Housekeeping and front desk very responsive to requests. Only real downsides were (1) the parking garage is very small and our SUV was too tall to drive into it. This limited our parking options, with a $50 overnight lot nearby, another lot with restricted hours, or on-street, which made our stay less relaxing. Also, the shower head in our room was a little wonky and probably needs replacement. Great water pressure, though!

Historic significance, and how it is wonderfully maintained in great shape with modern amenities.
Dinning in the center of the hotel was excellent, food service and environment made it a memorable experience. ❤️

Called the office about calcium leaking from parking garage that stained the paint on my car and they never returned my call!

Furniture was too low. Public restrooms too far away.

I stayed one night at La Fonda during a recent visit to Santa Fe. I arrived late and was quickly checked in by the front desk staff. The king bed room was comfortable, a decent size but certainly not huge. I was impressed by the modern quality of the bathroom and all the appliances. The hotel swimming pool was a lovely temperature and I enjoyed soaking in the hot tub as well. This is a classic hotel right in the heart of downtown and is full of interesting rooms and spaces as well as a variety of bars and restaurants. Santa Fe has some great hotels and this is definitely one of them.

Every thing was great, except the room we had was super small!

All around we had a great experience.

Great location. Service was average at best, especially the rooftop bar: Slow, forgot our order, red wine was warm (not even room temperature). Lobby a lobby at we’re very dark.

Way over priced for what else is available in the area. Definitely not a bad place to stay if it’s your only choice. All the hotels are nice in the area.

The LaFonda is fabulous and I would recommend it to anyone! Beautiful, historic property with great rooms and amenities. We were there on Sunday and Monday, and the hotel tour was not available which was disappointing. Otherwise a perfect stay!

Right near the square. The rooms are traditional and can be dark. The window treatments need replacing.

Very iconic and beautiful hotel. Loved all the artwork inside and outside the hotel room. Creative and artistic pieces and fixtures inside the room. And of course one of the best locations in the city!

We checked out of LaFonda this morning 7/18/2024. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The fact is, the hotel is old and in need of updating. I spent more than $500 of our 1 night stay and it definitely did not meet expectations for a $500/night hotel. The aesthetics are busy, loud and very colorful. Did not feel upscale or peaceful. We won’t return.

Everything perfect

Everything was very nice except for the in-room coffee which was bad
2.0 / 5.0
Our king room was VERY small; it was nearly impossible to walk around the bed next the desk to get to the bathroom.
Also, the lobby was incredibly noisy and echoey. There weren’t any peaceful places to unwind.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at La Fonda. The staff was great. Very nice and accommodating. Our stay was fine but the fact is, the hotel is old. It's clean and it's got history and it's in the plaza but that's it. Our room was small, maybe we got an old small room because we had a dog. The bed was hard and the pillows were meh. There's a pool, which is nice, but the pool area is small. Not a lot of chairs to go around. La Fonda is rated as a 4 star hotel, which I feel is a stretch. Other hotels in the area were the same price and looked to be more updated. I get the feeling you're paying for the history and the location at La Fonda. The thing is, the area isn't that large. So if you stay at a hotel not in the plaza, it's not a long walk to anything. It's an average hotel.
