Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds, well kept. Short walk to plaza, shops and restaurants.

Great staff and property!!

Peaceful gorgeous property. It was walkable and the hotel offered shuttle service for slightly farther distances. Patio dining was lovely and all employees were helpful and responsive.

Felt very safe. Beautiful grounds.

We liked the location of the hotel. It was peaceful and quiet.
We did not like the room: too dark, constand loud running ac, "tired" bathroom and bedding. Staff parked cars on the sidewalk and left a garbage bag in front of our room for 24 hours. Not impressed. We really wanted to like it more but did not.

Older hotel, some things could use upgrades

We got to the hotel early and there was no option for check in. We gave them our number so they could call when the room was ready and they never called. Once we checked in it took over an hour to get our bags(that had been left outside for hours while we waited for our room). Front desk service was rude at best. This hotel used to be the best in town but now that it is a Marriott it is not worth staying at. When you get to the room and use the in room phone beware that although it has buttons for room service and in room dinning, they do not have those services. The phone will just ring and ring and not even go to a message saying this service is unavailable. The pool drinks were terrible but at least they created camaraderie amongst the guests. We met several friends over our conversation about the terrible cocktail and even more unpleasant service. We did not leave early however since there were no towels to dry off. Luckily when we got back to the room our bedding had been changed with ones that had tears in the sheets. This lead us to leave to dinner where there was a line of less than pleased guest waiting for the “shuttle service”. When we got back from dinner I called from our room to the bell hop and asked for someone to bring a bagage cart. I told them we where driving out at 3am and needed to pack the car. They said they would send someone but no worries there is always a bell hop on duty. Soo after an hour of waiting for said bell hop I fell asleep.

Close to plaza, quiet, serene, comfortable, clean, and no frills.

Beautiful, but expensive property. Staff was excellent and responsive. Room was very nice with comfortable beds and quiet. Pool and hot tub were nice, too.

La Posada is ideally located in old town. Close to Canyon Rd galleries and close to plenty of sights and excellent restaurants.

I am a single woman who had to evacuate from the Ruidoso/Alto fires. I made it to Santa Fe and hoped to only stay two days. I stayed four more. They were very accommodating.

The first room that I was offered was very dirty, especially the carpet. the second room that was hypoallergenic was above the bar and main lobby and very noisy

La Posada is a beautiful facility that honors the setting and history of Santa Fe. That said, it seems that the resort relies too much on its image and not enough on its clientele.
Our room, like others was quaint and "old Santa Fe" in style, but VERY dark and poorly lighted (at time we needed flashlights to find things in our luggage) and VERY limited in storage space. These things could be improved without compromising the style.
The staff (especially the shuttle team) was friendly and helpful in most cases--no complaints at all except for the pool bar staff who were either not on duty or blase. I paid $8 for a vodka tonic that was flat and tasteless. When I commented to the pool barman, he just shrugged.

Roses and aroma of purple sage were outstanding. Wind spinners and overall adobe architecture were amazing. Staff from parking , valets, servers, were accomodating in n all respects. Julias Restaurant had wonderful food and staff!!
Front desk attendent gave us a refund with our early check out. This was awesome!
Here are some problems that were egregious. 1) Our room had a portable air conditioner that was not properly installed- window had an inch gap at least 2 feet high for the make shift AC.
2) both lamp iphone chargers were broken 3) we were given another room when I realized what a dilapidated room it was 4) new room had a queen bed that is uncomfortable for my hubby and I

Very, very small. Dark! No storage for clothes or suitcases. Safe didn’t work even after two attempts for staff to fix it.
On a positive side, we were able to cancel six nights of our stay and get refunded quickly.
Some might like rustic feel of the hotel but it was just too very cramped for us.

Mandatory valet parking is not only inconvenient, it is also a rip off with the valets expecting tips. At these room rates, and mandatory resort fees, tipping should be discouraged with prominent signage and the valets should be instructed to turn down tips.

We had the BEST time at La Posada! Our room was lovely! The service was incredible! The food and drinks were great! A special thank you to Walter and Gerardo for taking such good care of us! Service was great from the front desk to the servers such as Angel and Betsy! Thank you all! One thing I will say that needs work is the housekeeping. They never showed up to clean and I had to call later in the day. All the young housekeepers were deep in conversations on their cell phones which is very unprofessional. They should not be seen/heard having conversations while working. Other than that it was perfect! Loved Santa Fe!

Having stayed here twice before, my husband and I were disappointed to experience a less-than-stellar visit. We'd give the staff high marks (but not top marks) for friendliness, but the restaurant where breakfast is served was a little sketchy. At one point, a restaurant employee took half a pitcher of (lukewarm) coffee and poured it into the larger coffee dispenser kept near the front lobby. That can't possibly fly with the health department. Why not just make fresh coffee? It feels like Marriott came in and introduced all the ways they could make the experience cheaper (for them, not for you), ie, towels and toilet paper are what you'd expect to find at a women's prison. Overall, a disappointment when considering the cost of the stay compared to the quality of the experience.

Properly is beautiful. Lots of amenities for guest. The shuttle was super convenient and the staff was friendly.

The cozy and inviting lobby, the restaurant and the library are something unique. The staff was courteous and patient. We enjoyed lounging around both the indoor places and outdoors. The property doubles as an art gallery with eye catching Southwest and NM sceneries.

Love staying at La Posada when visiting Santa Fe. Awesome property grounds, fantastic staff, fabulous food, great bars and amazing valets! The accommodations are spectacular as well! I just love this place! They’re all about their guests’ comfort and well being. Outstanding place to stay!

very slow, why not have self-parking? Otherwise beautiful place, clean, quiet

Convenient walking distance from The Plaza. Beautiful resort with helpful staff.

Loved it for how pretty the campus is and how cool the rooms are. Wood burning fireplaces with pinion wood at the ready is so charming. A little on the rustic side, but that is intentional. Great stroll to the Santa Fe square and shops. Great location!

Have been going to La Posada for 20 years. A unique place with a lot of charm. Service, the restaurant and historic house bar was always a treat, however since taken over by Marriott, service and food service is not nearly as good as it was under previous management

We absolutely loved staying at La Posada staff was always so welcoming and friendly. Julias restaurant needs improvement on their staff and menu. Other than that everything was perfect!

One of my favorite places to stay in Santa Fe!

Our room was nothing like rooms depicted on website. Very small. No view. Had to keep shade closed for privacy. Desperately in need of electrical work. Extension cords and tv cable hanging out all over the place. Very third world. Phone wouldnt stop ringing last nite of our stay.
Valet service was very slow. Staff was very kind and overworked on a property that needs major attention. We had higher expectations and were sadly disappointed. Shout out to Angel with valet and Hector for their professionalism. Julias social club was overwhelmed on Christmas Eve and needs serious help.
4.0
Stay here for a convenient, walkable location to the square and downtown. The property needs a culture shift though from can-don't so don't expect a smooth guest experience. Front desk has no cash drawer for valet tipping, so valets make change from their wallets clogging up the valet stand. Bartender was downright Eeyore to every customer. Room was never vacuumed during 3-night stay and amenities never refreshed. It took 2 days to get Kiva fireplace-sized wood refill - fought too large wood that smoked out the room and sent ashes around it. Etc.
4.0
Great place to stay, room was awesome. Only drawback was the lighting for the walkway leading to the room was out and we had to use a flashlight to see to get in.
