We had a great time. Location is perfectly situated a couple blocks off the main drag of Waikiki. Target was right downstairs which was great for groceries and toiletries. Hotel staff was kind and professional. And, they offered daily housekeeping which is hard to find these days. The bed was very comfortable and our room was beautiful.
Would definitely stay here again.

I had problems with the heating system or should I say the air conditioning because in Hawaii I was told they don’t have heat. During the night it was so cold that I had to wrap myself in every sheet and blanket on my bed. Also, there was hair on the shower and in the sink. When I spoke to the clerk at reception, she said she would mention it to the manager that’s it. Also, in the morning before I left, he was coming out of the air conditioner, and there was no way to stop it, but the clerk insisted that there was no heat in Hawaii this was also the hotel that refused to honor my request for a no-show caused when I had a nosebleed in Boston Logan and Delta refused to have me board the flight even though I was there and could have boarded. That’s when I called Delta Delta abandon and had to arrive the next day missing one night at the hotel

It was amazing, but the AC needed to be a fix the room was hot.

This s was an excellent time. The hotel was very nice and clean. Wonderful location to the beach and malls. We really enjoyed this hotel very much.

Front desk very rude… room was unclean when I walked in… I would not recommend

The hotel was nice and newly updated. The only complaint I had was that the fire alarm was malfunctioning at very early hours which made my young son wake up and have nightmares for 2 days out of our trip. The other time it was scheduled to go off at 11 it went off at 230 am in the morning. I wasn’t compensated for any of the interruptions that occurred.

Wonderful and close to the beach and ABC stores ! Very kind staff

Stayed here for one night in September with my wife and we enjoyed our stay. The only inconvenience we really had was the construction, so it was a little difficult to navigate the property, but other than that, we had a great stay! We'll definitely consider staying here again once the construction is complete. Great area, close to the beach, affordable price too.

Staff was very friendly, helpful and upgraded our room at no additional charge. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. Location was perfect for walking to beach, shops, dining, and beautiful sunset.

Very nice. Clean hotel and its location is amazing

Overall a good experience. There was a lot of construction going on at the time of my stay which caused some issues. Was without hot water and communicated it twice with the staff and it finally got resolved. Great views and nice clean rooms.

The construction was not fun!! Getting out of the parking garage lacked signage to the floors to your room or floor!!

Yes, the hotel was going under renovations but once you get to your room, everything is back to normal. We had a renovated room and room was nice and clean! The A/C worked great extremely well!
Love the location. Very walkable to the beach and also the tourist shops and restaurants.
Big shout out to front desk Angie! She was awesome and so friendly!
Would stay here again!

Overall would not stay again. Hotel was undergoing renovations which was not declared when we booked. The lobby was far away from where you actually went meaning lugging cases to and from. Our parking pass never worked once meaning delays each time to get in and out of the structure despite $40/day privilege.
We had a room behind the lift shafts meaning constant noise.
The pool from the 2nd day onwards was undergoing maintenance and out of service.
Fire alarm also going off on our last morning meaning not very relaxing.
Our room key also stopped working meaning again another trapse back over to the makeshift lobby.
Ended up buying cups from Walmart as no glasses in the room other than 1 set of paper cups, no ice machine either, had to get housekeeping to bring up.
Never once asked how our stay was going even on check out. Also had additional charges to my card which front desk couldn't explain and told me "it would go back", still no idea what extras I have been charged for.
Overall I'm very glad I was only there for 2 nights, couldn't wait to leave and I won't be back. There are much better options in the same area.

This hotel was undergoing renovations when I arrived so I couldn’t access the pool and gym but the stay was still perfect. The hotel is located right down the street from the beach and right in the heart of everything (food, entertainment, etc) I would definitely stay here again due to the price and accessibility of this hotel.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL unless you are ok with massive amounts of construction and no amenities.
Location is great, I got a good deal, but I may had chosen a different property had I known.
The front desk staff member John was fantastic and he tried to make our stay more pleasant, but the hotel ownership felt like they just didn't give a crap.
Comp the guests something like free breakfast or, luau experience. Show that you understand.

Jessica was great at keeping our room clean. Hotel was under renovation with pool closed. No pre warning when booking and no discount. Shower was cold. Could have done with a kettle. Good location

This is my 2nd stay at Ohana East and I will be back again and will stay here

Great Room, very friendly staff, little noisy and smelly because of renovation.
But a great place to spend your vacation!

The pool and gym were closed during my stay even though I called the hotel and they confirmed they would be open during my visit. The lobby was under construction, so it was understandable there was some inconvenience. The shower in the room was so tiny it was barely gin enough for me and I’m an averaged sized man. The balcony that I paid extra for was also “closed” because they were painting. Understand construction causes inconveniences, but that is when you offer incentives, not just apologize. I will not be stating at OHANA again.

Waikiki is en expensive area so compare to other hotels in the same area, the Ohana had the most reasonable price for me. I liked the fact that they offer towels for guests to use at the beach and that the property is well maintained. The lady that cleaned our room was very friendly.
The things that I didn't like were:
1. There is no microwave in the room
2. They charge a nightly fee even though the hotel it's been remodeled so it is very inconvenient for guests to come in and out walking through noise, dust, paint smell, etc.
3. Some of the staff at the front desk are too friendly and spend too much time talking to some guests while other guests are waiting for assistance.
4. The walls are not sound proof so you could hear what is going on next door.

The swimming pool was closed.

This was my second time staying here. The first time I stayed here I found the place to be conveniently located around a lot of stuff. The rooms were clean and nice. When I stayed here in 2021 the pool was not in service and fast forward to 2024, the pool is still not in service. We were really disappointed. We were told it would be in the service the day after we checked in and two days later the pool was not in service. If I ever go back I would probably stay somewhere where else with a working pool or not get my hopes up about the pool being in service.

The parking was $40/night. The room was clean but we did spot a roach and told the staff. They sprayed the next day when we left the room. The staff was very nice.

Too many constructions going on now but it was an ok stay

Currently going under lobby construction but didn’t bother us as you can see the how god it will be once complete. The pool area, gym and the rooms were great with the recent update. Tracey at the front reception was amazing when we arrived.

parking was terrible, there was construction going on, so it was a little annoying and not as “luxurious” as i wished it had been. but, overall good experience. staff was great. we got an amazing deal on a 2 bd suite so that definitely made up for some of the negatives

The property is still being renovated, but my room had been done. It was very nice!

Was not told of all the construction going on. Pool closed last day, noisy drilling waking us up in the morning, scaffolding guys right outside our window

The hotel is in a great location in the middle of Waikiki, with everything nearby. There are lots of food options in the area. However, we were quite disappointed that the parking was $40 a day on top of what we had already paid for the hotel. This seems to be a common cost for parking in this area. Street parking is hard to find. We also had a big issue with the hot water. We didn't have any hot water on our first day, but the staff was very responsive and came to fix it. After the first day, we had to run the water for a good 10-15 minutes to get it warm, but it never got hot. Additionally, there was ongoing renovation, so we didn't get to see a nice lobby or hallways. The renovation on the first couple of floors was happening 24/7, which was quite disturbing.
