Fantastic hotel in a great location. Pretty much round the corner from Times Square 25 min walk for Maddison Square gardens and 10 minutes from the Rockerfella.
Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a generous bathroom. If I had on small gripe it was the angle of the shower head but it’s minor and doesn’t cause an issue.
Will definitely be returning to Hotel Theta without a doubt. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, their willingness to help with anything is above and beyond.
The complimentary tea and coffee in the morning is a lovely touch.

I’m writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay. I expected a clean, comfortable room and professional service, but my experience fell far below these standards.
The staff’s attentiveness was lacking—I wasn’t greeted or assisted as I saw other guests were. A particularly troubling incident occurred when I asked the bellman where to wait for my Postmates order and was insinuated to be homeless. Such behavior is unprofessional and offensive.
The room itself was disappointing, with bugs in the bathroom, stained or hairy towels, and missing amenities shown in your online photos. For the price I paid, I expected much higher standards of cleanliness and service.
As a regular guest of Ritz-Carlton properties, I found this experience more reflective of a budget motel. I hope these concerns are addressed, as I’m hesitant to return based on this stay.

Very nice property and so conveniently located! The room was a nice size and it appears that it was renovated in the recent past. Complimentary coffee is offered each morning and complimentary wine is offered at Happy Hour. No in room coffee and if you want a full breakfast, you need to go outside the hotel.

Stay was decent. For the cost of this stay, I will say that was not worth it all. Spent close to $1500 and wasn’t worth the price tag. Paid for a premium room, high floor….the first room was filled with gnats and fruit floors and was extremely humid even with the AC running. Left the room for a little after killing a few gnats and hoping the AC running for a little while exploring NYC would help. It did not help at all, came back to the room after dinner and gnats were still everywhere and the room was not any cooler. Went down and asked to switch rooms, was first offered for an engineer to come spray the room or to move rooms. Opted to switch rooms like we originally wanted, got switch to a room that was not similar to the one that was originally booked. Not a huge deal considering we just needed a place to sleep, but considering the hefty cost to stay at this hotel I do not think it was worth it with the several issues we had. Also the bathroom in our new assigned room was dirty, hair all over the shower and floor. Hair pieces on the bed and comforters as well and extremely dusty.

Kimpton has excellent location. The front desk services and the lobby are friendly and welcoming. The room is clean and comfortable.

Hotel is expensive but centrally located next to all the action within a quick walk from Times Sq. Everything was very nice and clean. Staff were very helpful.

It hasn’t been great. The reception was always in a mood. Not really helpful, several charges to all my card throughout without control. Fonally even at check-out they dailed to add my comoany name to the invoice

We have stayed at this hotel many times throughout the years. We are always satisfied with the cleanliness of the property and the level of customer service.

We love Kimpton, always try to stay there. On this trip we were charged a smoking fee, and no one was smoking. Whatever their detection system is, it is not reliable. At the time they say they detected smoke, there was a hair dryer brought from home that was being used?? They said they could not remove the charges, which are nearly $600.

I checked in early evening and was informed the restaurant was not open at all, and there was no room service. Exhausted, I just went to my room to take a shower. Once in the shower I saw bugs start flying around me - coming from the ceiling - at least 20 and they appeared to be gnats. I called the front desk to tell them I had bugs and they sent someone up with a vacuum cleaner and can of Raid which they sprayed all over the bathroom, making the room smell like chemicals. I thought to ask for a new room but was exhausted from my travels so I just decided to go to bed and deal with the smell. The second I sat on the bed the same gnats started flying out of the sheets. I immediately called the front desk and told them I needed a new room right away and the receptionist told me I could “come down to the lobby and ask for a new room in person.” Absolutely infuriating customer service. I told them to please get me a new room and bring a luggage cart as I had already unpacked. I also asked to speak with the manager. I was told the manager would call me, but never did. I waited 20 minutes and no one came, so I called again and they said the manager was on the way with the bellman. Another 10 minutes and just the bellman shows up, no manager. The manager failed to contact me the entire stay- so as I checked out I asked to see the manager and he wouldn’t come out from his office- too “busy”. I left my cell and have yet to be contacted.

The hotel staff was great. The area is highly walkable and adjacent to Times Square without being too close to it. Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood is full of restaurants, shops, and markets. The rooms were nicely appointed. Our first night, the fire alarm went off more than once (false alarms,) in the middle of the night, which made for an unpleasant experience, but the rest of our time there was great.

The entire stay was the worst ever. Housekeeping failed to come twice. Took over an hour to get checked in. Ice machine broken on the two floors I was closest to.

we were greeted by Charles when we arrived. We remembered him from Hilton days at that same location. He was wonderful- great customer service!! The rooms were clean and well appointed. All in all a great experience.

Took over 30 mins to check-in because the front desk staff said they couldn’t find my reservation despite me showing my ID, writing the reservation number down and showing the confirmation email. They wouldn’t check my luggage while I waited. Once a manager finally “found” the reservation they still attempted to charge me an early check-in fee even tho I waited all that time. The bathroom had hair everywhere and was extremely muggy and humid and had an odor. Hallways were noisy. I was woken up by a blaring loud call from the front desk. They called back and I answered but no one responded. The lights constantly flickered in the room. The TV wasn’t working properly.

Staff wonderful! Would totally book again!

Experience was not so good. You could hear what person is talking in next room. Water pressure in the shower was the worst. Room was so tiny.

Very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again if we are ever back to NYC

Loved the hotel—the only negative was paying $40 to check in 3 hours early. Would have been nice to offer that as a courtesy.

A nice 4-star hotel that is cheaping out on water? They don't even bother providing a carafe full of filtered water. Having to go to the hallway searching for water with a paper cup is so Motel-8 style.
The notice cancelation windows are not working. Be ready to be woken up at 5 am from all the trucks driving outside.

Convenient location.
Easy access to transportation.
Customer service ok.
No hot water initially, but was resolved later in the day. Rooms are clean with good quality toiletries and refrigerator, but room was very noisy.

Located one block from the heart of Time Square & one from the majority broadway theaters.
The staff is excellent always helpful with advice or directions.
The hotel is clean & newer, has steamer for clothes in each room.
I would recommend the Kimpton!

Great location close to all the Broadway Theaters. Room was modern and nice but we could hear every word our neighbors said so I had a hard time sleeping and staying asleep. Staff wasn’t super friendly.

Great location near Time Square. Amazing and friendly staff! Over sized room for NYC and parking is right next door

I recently stayed at the Kimpton for an extended stay. Everyone was so helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. As I was staying so long, they even provided me with a coffee maker and microwave. I will definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the area!

Was convenient for all we did on vacation. Not used to the sounds. But otherwise enjoyed our time there

The staff was helpful, attentive and super friendly. The location was central and convenient for getting around by walking, subway or taxi. Great place to stay for families with kids. Highly recommend.
3.0
It’s a pretty property with a very friendly staff but it needs some maintenance. The sink and tub drained very slowly and there were holes in the bedding. The multiple false fire alarms made it hard to sleep. Don’t waste your money on “higher floor”, if they are full you are out of luck.
