I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Guest House, and it was truly an excellent experience! This charming hotel is beautifully decorated, showcasing its antique house vibes that make you feel right at home. The ambiance is captivating and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
The only downside was that accessing the rooms required climbing quite a few stairs—definitely a workout! But trust me, it's worth it. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful. We had a wonderful time!

Great place, big rooms, basic breakfast included friendly staff.

Excellent over night stay. Beds are comfy.

The atmosphere was very quaint as expected for the style of the Guest House. The room was very nice. Smelled fresh and AC worked well. Bed was very comfortable. But the carpets were quite tired. The floors on the balcony were very tired. Two lovely rocking chairs on the balcony could have used a small table. The door lock on the balcony door was not working opening the balcony to the parking lot. The hotel staff left the property at 6pm which was uncomfortable for us. We could not work the rocku tv we found out after the front desk staff left. A printed explanation in the room would have been helpful. As we were leaving in the am before the diningroom opened we encountered the cook. We asked for something to take with us. He packed us bagels and fruit. So very kind of him.
Overall it was a pleasant stay but some shortcomings.

Spent two nights here while in town for the balloon festival. Easy walk to festival. Safe area. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was great. Breakfast could be a little better but overall it was a good stay and I’d stay here again!

Terrible experience at this guset house. When we arrived tyou couldn not flush and the girl at the front desk promised us to fix that. We took a walk at the town and went back, still not fixed but she promised us the plumber was on his way. After a couple of hours we come back again and were promised it was fixed. Guess what, it was not and there was no plumber!! She lied to us!! When we wanted to change room there was none, even though there were two avalible on the website! When we wanted to leave and hove our money back she all of a sudden had a room! It was so much small but we were so tired after a terrible day that we had to take that. We did not get an excuse or complimentary, I asked the manager to contact me but she did not!! We would like some refound because of not having a functional room until 9 pm and a much smaller room with one queenbed instead of two. We paid for a large room with two quennbed and shoul have a refound for the price difference. I would never recommend this guest house to anyone, bad service and very old bathrooms and also many steps to reach the rooms!

Other than missing a wand for the tv, having the blow dryer missing from its holder, water in the shampoo and having the toilet fixed right when we arrived, it was good. The people were very friendly and helpful and the food was good. We would stay there again.

Cool to stay in a very old, historic building that has been well-preserved and refurbished. Staff was attentive and the complimentary sit-down breakfast was nice, as well as the bottle of wine.

Wonderful stay, staff was very friendly!

You pay for the location. The house was quaint.
Our room - Martin - was OK. Shower lever for shower/spout was stuck so shower was weak. Shower head lever did not work. Staff were apologetic but this problem was not new so basically they charged top $ for the room and had no intention of fixing problems. Shower curtain was too short so it was difficult not to flood the bathroom.
The Wi-Fi is 1990s and really sucked. We were lucky to get 10 minutes before it went out. Again staff apologetic but probably have no intention of fixing it. I assume the customer profile is overwhelmingly non repeat.
The dinner was very good but not run by the hotelier.
Breakfast was OK with scrambled egg. I asked for fried eggs and was told I would have to pay extra!
By this time I was thinking Fawlty Towers.

Facilities had a renovation but they were really showing their age and mattress was beyond useful life

This is a great property with some minor hiccups that can easily be corrected.
We have arrived a bit early and found the property door locked with a note ' running errands, pls call this number'. Husband left message at number, we decided to go visit nearby museum until 3pm. Received no callback about our message, but were back at the property door at 315pm and found it closed again, with no doorbell. (So: install doorbell??) Eventually we got in, the front manager, the lovely Denise explained why they keep that door locked, checked us in and all was good.
Our room was on the top floor: if you are older, be aware there is no elevator, be sure to request ground floor room. It was charming, splendid decor, very comfortable beds, with clean and spacious bathroom. Again, be aware that the commode is set kind of low: this didn’t pose an issue for us but may be for some.
Wifi: it works downstairs without a hitch, on top floor keeps cutting out constantly. There may be a need for a router extender, as there is no TV watching without it.
Restaurant on property is CLOSED Monday and Tuesday for dinner, which we didn't realize until there. Breakfast is of course offered and it is tasty and plenty with great service; I really appreciated that the yogurt was unsweetened and plain, and the pancakes were soft and fluffy.
The decor through the house is top notch, very full of thoughtful little touches.
All in all, recommending this property for stays in Natchez.

Denise the manager is amazing and so very accommodating, so very friendly and attentive to any requests or needs. Willie was a Jack of all Trades and was there to handle any issues, help with baggage, fix any problems and did it all with a smile, very positive and upbeat. These two made the stay at the amazing Guest House so memorable and enjoyable. Tamara in the restaurant was such a great waitress and her service was impeccable. Although we did not eat lunch or dinner at the restaurant, the breakfast was a 10 out of 10!! Highly recommend The Guest House. You will not be disappointed! My only reminder is...remember this is an OLD establishment, so be mindful and respectful of the house. The imperfections are what makes it so very PERFECT for a stay in Natchez at a bed and breakfast.

The staff (especially Denise, the lovely lady who checked us in) were very friendly and welcoming. The Inn (including the room) had some older features that gave it character. Great location in town and nice to have a restaurant on the premise.

Kind of like being at Grand ma's house. Fuzy tv...slow hot water...bed very comphy...coffee left a metalic taste in my mouth all day...no dedicated motorcycle parking...

Denise, the general manager was friendly and accomadating to our needs. The breakfast was outstanding and all the staff friendly. If you like history and a step back into another era then you will enjoy your stay. It is a refreshing change from the typical "ho hum" hotel stay.

I was disappointed, they changed my room to the ground floor which was noisy, the feel of the place is more like just an old hotel and not one of the grand mansions you see around the city.

The property was excellent!! Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Only thing I did not like is the window where the AC unit is installed, there is no way to close the curtain to make the room totally dark.

Denise greeted us with the most generous southern hospitality! Because of her and is beautiful home, we booked another night. The walk by the Mississippi during sunset was incredible.
2.5
We loved the hotel! Denise is an amazing person! She even called after we left as she didn’t get to tell us goodbye. The staff at breakfast was very helpful.
The only problem was that I didn’t realize we had to walk upstairs to a room and my daughter has health issues. Next time we will know.

The accommodations, atmosphere, and staff were amazing. I would definitely stay at The Guest House again!

I am writing this review a week late because I forgot to write it last week. To be honest, I have never written a review; but, I must acknowledge the members of the staff at The Guest House Historic Mansion because they went above and beyond to ensure a great visit for my family. They truly showed southern hospitality.
There was an issue with the toilet in the wee hours on the night before my checkout. My 8 year old grandson resolved the issue, and there was no need to notify anyone at the moment. I did mention the issue during checkout, and the front desk personnel apologized for the situation. I told her no apology was necessary. But a few hours later, I received another apology when the general manager (who was not working during my checkout) called me about the toilet situation.
I truly appreciated the staff at The Guest House Historic Mansion!

It was an amazing visit. The bed was comfortable and the room was lavishly decorated. Not only was I given a bottle of wine with which to relax, but I had a veranda to sip coffee on and there was also a courtyard to sit outside in! A last minute booking, but Denise made sure that everything went smoothly, and that I was completrly comfortable. The entire mansion was gorgeous, the furnishings ornate, and the service was impeccable. Breakfast was equally delightful! I can't wait to book a longer stay in the future!

We enjoyed our recent weekend getaway.

Booked the lowenberg room downstairs on Expedia specifically but when I arrived, they gave me another room upstairs so definitely not happy about that. AC didn’t work in one room so was transferred to another. Rooms were very nice and loved sitting on the porch but upstairs door to porch broken so had to go back stairs and a little unsafe but ok. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and history. Clean and quiet and comfortable beds and felt safe. Will come again and hopefully get the room we book. Maybe use direct booking to ensure correct room. Staff nice.
