Stay was good.. the room was hot I couldn’t get it to cool down…. Not sure what issue was I was sweating at night…also the pool was full of sand

We had a remodeled room by the pool. The balcony door wouldn’t lock the evening we arrived and the door between bedroom and living room had the door lock on the wrong side and wouldn’t close properly or lock. We also had bugs in our room all over the counter. We called the desk and maintenance came to fix the door issues. The next day our room was so hot and at 930 at night the maintenance came back again and and told us the system was frozen and we had to move rooms. No cart or anything. Then on Friday night 11/15 there was a large party that came in and they took up most of the area around us and on other floors. I was told quiet time was around 10ish. They played extremely loud music with so much bass in it that our beds were vibrating and screamed and yelled and drank in the halls and the pool area till 230 in the morning. I called the front desk starting at 10 pm until 130 am and was told they would have security handle it but they never did. I told them I was checking out early and wanted a refund for the night we could not sleep because of the loud party and for the night I was leaving early because I was so unhappy and the front desk manager told me that I was lying about the night before. I told her to check the cameras but she would not. We have stayed here for years but will never go back. I’ve never been treated so poorly. I have recommended this hotel to my friends for years but will never again. Side note: hot tub was also removed. Baffled!

This was our first stay at Princess Royale and we said what most say, we'll definitely come back! The room was great, very clean, everything was as it was supposed to be. The indoor balcony overlooking the pool was also really nice to have, especially with it being cold at night during our trip. The pool was awesome.

Our stay was great! Hotel room comfortable and clean and a great ocean view. Front desk was great. We had everything we need. FYI - we stayed off season. Late September. Definitely would come back. Also liked the location - on the other side of the boardwalk. Less congested and quiet. But close enough if we wanted to go there.

Poor condition of the rooms and furnitures; the rooms needs to be renovated. Our room was not cleaned as needed; found used underwear and other clothing in the closet. We stayed there few years ago and the hotel had a hot tub and a suna by the pool..now these are gone and replaced with not good looking arcades. Location is nice. Good size of the indoor pool; good food in the bar.

We loved the kitchen in our suite as we didn't plan to eat out too much during our stay. We loved the pots, however; a skillet, dish soap, and sponge would've made cooking and cleaning a lot easier. The room was very large and spacious with a very comfortable king bed.

Very clean room. Right on the beach. A lot to walk too. Staff wasn’t super pleasant or helpful when my beach blanket went missing off my balcony after the cleaned and they acted like it wasn’t there. Then I mysteriously ended up back on my railing.

Walkable to the beach as its right on the shore, indoor heated pool that was clean and always staffed. The bar served good drinks and had good food! A little pricey but to be expected I suppose. Staff was polite and helpful!

The renovation was very well done. Nice new appliances in the kitchen area, new large screen tvs in bedroom and living room, attractive pictures, lighting and carpeting throughout the building. Great to have a six level parking garage on the premises. Overall, a super property with a very good staff too.

Would I stay here again? If I would, I would need a 2 bedroom. One for me and one for the guy with a gun to my head! The parking garage is sloped so extreme that if you don’t have a truck, you will scrape. The staff was very rude. At one point, my key quit working. I was stuck in the hallway. There were 3 maids in the hallway. I ask them for help and they tell me they don’t have a key and to call the front office. How can I call the office when I’m locked in the hall? So I had to walk down to the front desk. They give me new keys and don’t even apologize for the inconvenience. The pictures show a hot tub…. There is not one. The pool and pool area were cold. My son was staying the same week as us and had an ocean front room. They set a giant tent up for a wedding right in front of his room, for 2 days he couldn’t get out of his room from the balcony area because the tent was there and that was his view for 2 days! For the price of this hotel, look elsewhere. I’ve been coming to OCMD for 35 years and travel all over the Country, so I have average standards as to what to expect.

Room was nice, updated & very clean.. ocean view was more like parking lot, with a side view of the ocean. Maids do not come clean your room unless you request it. We were there for 5 days (4 nights) so only thing I did was switch out the towels.. which I physically did myself by going up to the cart in the hallway and getting new towels. Pool should be updated next for this hotel. The tiles and dark grout isnt the best thing to look at while in the pool.

Princess Royal was a great pic for our Ocean City stay. It is north of the boardwalk by about 10 mins, so we had a relaxing stay away from the hustle. Walk out to beach was amazing. Great patio areas, great food/bar area. Kids loved the indoor pool that remained open until 10pm.

Stayed 3 nights. Right off the bat 1 of the 2 TVs was shot, as in needed a full replacement, which was brought up right when reported. Shower drain would not stay up so tub filled with water while you showered. Bathroom in general extremely dated. Lamp between beds in sleeping room super old and had a bad twist switch on it that was super finicky to keep it on. Not a single outlet or appliance with a USB type of charging outlet in the entire room. I mean its 2024, these should now be standard. Place just generally had a feel of "we only fix things as reported and do nothing ahead of time." Also, 3 nights and 3 days and not a single bed made and didnt have new towels dropped off. Unacceptable and i should not have to call for that. Dont care what your Eco policy is.

The first room that we checked had issues with no hot shower, cook stove not working , room phone working plus the bedding felt kind of wet or not completely dry. We complained twice then switched to a new room. We also had breakfast at schoners restaurant and service was terrible.
