Great location. Super nice staff.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, it was convenient for all the festivities in the area. For the hotel itself, the water pressure needs be fixed in the shower. Poor water flow from the shower head. The free breakfast buffet was generic as it gets. Yes it’s free but not recommended.

The property was located in a nice area with walking distances to activities and restaurants. The front desk ladies were super nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the rooms outside/inside weren’t kept up properly or just poorly fixed. The room we stayed in the bed was slightly uncomfortable. The tv had poor signal not giving us a chance to watch tv fully without having buffering visuals. The shower has cracked pieces of wall, the water didn’t even get hot along with the water pressure being trash, the sliding door was broken didn’t close fully. The door entrance for the bathroom coming out was cracked and just poorly covered or just didn’t attempt to fix it. I overall am disappointed because it was not my first time staying here, I was here back in 2021 of June double bed rooms were newly renovated and nice looking then any of the rooms now. I’m hoping that they’ll focus on these reviews and fix the single bed rooms in front of office.

We had to evacuate for the Storm we paid like 627 for 3 kings size bed for 1 nights know never answered our calls for a code they kept responding us through text in chin language! We was stuck in a bad situation and miles away from home we are waiting for a refund

Very nice people

Nice location, rooms were a little rough around the edges but spacious and clean, nice outdoor areas including the ‘old senator’ and breakfast was definitely better than we anticipated. Overall a nice overnight stay…

Online photos and reviews are grossly minsinformation. This was a very lower class motel. And it’s wrong that it’s presented online as different. It’s a dirty motel. Not a villa. And not 4 star. So much so, we didn’t even stay. We checked out immediately. We got another hotel. We were told we needed to pursue refund through this internet broker … who said they will not refund anything g as we needed to go through the hotel. After multiple attempts to pursue both., realize neither are doing anything. each effectively use each other to hedge responsibility. I advised I would never stay at the hotel, not book with this internet site nor the hotel (motel) again.

It was not bad nor excellent. Shrubbery and plants need to be cleaned up and breakfast was not good.

Was not as nice as it looks in the pictures. The bed was very uncomfortable. Room very small

Overall good staff, in all areas, but the parking is tight. As far as your outdoor landscaping goes, you need a fresh pair of eyes. And you should be capitalizing on the
Senator tree. The plus is you can catch the trolly right there and take it around town.
Also the pool is nice at the end of day, clean.

Seemed to be some water damage in our room and a funky smell. The photos are a little deceiving at how “upscale” the hotel was. Otherwise room was clean and breakfast was good, not the worst experience we’ve had at a hotel.

Staff was really accomodating and allowed me to borrow their kitchen knife to cut up some honey dew Mellons I purchased late at night! And there’s a Thai restaurant right across the street. The spot is convenient for the many places we went to in the area!

Pictures look better than reality. Breakfast room more like staff canteen. Dated product

The property wasn’t very clean, the walls were beat up and had poorly done repairs on the problem areas. We booked a deluxe room and must’ve been put in a standard room because there was nothing special about it.
4.0
We had to leave and stay elsewhere due to the noise/nasty sounds coming thru the wall from our neighbors; bed was like a fold out mattress, overall was not pleased at all, although the staff was nice
4.0
The pictures definitely make it look like an updated historic property. In reality the renovations are already showing signs of age and just a motor lodge with a nice historic tree. The room was humid and floors a bit dirty. If you want good location and know what you are expecting it should be ok.
4.0
It has nice clean rooms. The pool was really relaxing. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful seating under The Senator. A beautiful live oak tree.

An improvement over the Howard Johnson's that previously occupied the spot, and the hot breakfast is a real plus. Staff was friendly and cheerful.

Our room was so dirty! My clean white socks were brown after a few steps on the floor! The bathroom had a lot of rust. The room had a humid and mold sent. Breakfast was poorly stock. People at the desk were friendly.

After reading reviews we thought this might be an average decent place. Right behind a liquor store. Staff friendly , about 3/4 mi walk along San Marcos to downtown. Homeless on the way

We enjoyed the stay but would not have recognized it from the pictures.

Breakfast was decent…walking distance to downtown…pool could use an update…motel literally backs up to famous tree lined magnolia Ave…gorgeous historical tree featured on property…bed was pretty comfy…having HBO was a plus…customer service was friendly.

Not from the area, first impressions I was worried. Realized later the place was sold out. Families. It wasn’t kids. Location to the beach was good. Got in late so couldn’t plan but close to restaurants and boutiques. It was impromptu stay. Overall I would stay there again based on room rate.

Our stay was great !

It was ok. Just far enough from everything and close enough to one thing.

The floors werent clean, my feet were black but everything else was clean. I always Lysol before I put things down. No hair dryer. I loved the quaintness of the place, nice atmosphere, near a lot of sites. Overall well go back again. Enjoyed ourselves.

This was updated, simple and historic with helpful staff- staying under a 600 year old live oak fits a visit to the oldest US city

The price was good, parking was excellent. Omg with the tiny towels in the room, the ceiling fan in the bathroom was really full of dirt, and my feet actually got dirty when walking on the floor there. You get what you pay for.
The staff was VERY SWEET, kind, and helpful.
The trolley stopping right in the parking lot was perfect, and the cute walk to the fountain of youth amazing.

The property was comfortable and had a great location, but the cleanliness was a bit lacking. Just needs an overall deep clean, but was not filthy. Maybe a recaulking in the bathroom and a scrub down on the walls.
4.0
The rest area with the tree was nice. But the bathroom smell badly.
4.0
The room itself was clean, but as soon as we walked in there was a strong smell of bleach or some other cleaning solution. The AC in the bedroom was off when we entered so the room was very hot. Turned it on and it took a few hours to actually cool the room down. The staff were all friendly and helpful, but I probably wouldnt choose to stay here again.

We enjoy staying here. The location is great. It’s an older place, but they keep up with it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is that the towels are very little and there are only two of them. We did request more and received them. We will continue to visit and stay at this hotel.

Nice and professional staff at the office, knowledgeable about options for tourists and eager to help. Room in good conditions; everything worked the way it should. Close enough to the historic town center.
It didn't feel very safe, though; maybe the town is completely safe, but you don't know this if you come from somewhere else. I misinterpreted the pictures; I didn't understant it was "motel like" (you park right outside your room). If I had known this, I probably would have booked some other hotel. But the room was nice, only a little too noisy.
Breakfast was too basic; it could be improved by adding some more options.

Do not trust the pictures. We had to wipe down everything in the room it was not very clean. If we were staying more than one night we would have left and stayed somewhere else.

Right before I stayed i started reading the reviews and I was horrified... its not like a crack motel. Its old, it doesnt offer luxurious rooms or amenities, the rooms are half updated and half not? If your going to update the rooms, do it right. My trash was not emptied and rooms not cleaned during my stay, disappointing.
What it does offer is a great price and location. Everything in this town is very overpriced, so an affordable place helps. Its walking distance from fountain of youth, and the hotel is ON the trolley stop so you can hop on right there. So if your willing to not stay in a super fancy place, this is the stop. I probably wouldn't stay again until they fix this place up.

Room was very dirty, full with ants and when I ask to change me rooms they didn't even care... very noisy and pool wasn't working all weekend...

It was a great priced hotel in the historic district of St. Augustine, very clean and in walking distance to all amusements. Beds were clean, bathrooms were clean, many towels and washcloths were provided. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. We will be back to this hotel in the future.
4.0
It is lay back and close to other sightseeing points of interest.

It was very nice

Front desk receptionist was friendly, but the room was very dated. Instead of nightstands, there were metal boxes that showed cigarette stains.
Bed was very comfortable and shower had good water pressure. The room had a very musty smell, but dissipated a bit after the A/C was on.
The biggest issue which probably is not related to the hotel is that there are peacocks next door and the start to make noise very early in the morning.
Also, the parking lot flooded as there was heavy rain in the afternoon and it was difficult to get to the car without removing our shoes.
