This hotel had the best people working for them. All the staff were helpful and courteous. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant had great food and the waitresses were funny and friendly. Just can’t say enough great things about this hotel. We will tell everyone about it

Nice hotel, but extremely mixed review of the staff. There was one younger woman working in the mornings who was terrible. Waited 5 minutes to check-in despite there being the only ones there. When the receptionist finally came out to greet us, she just wanted to get rid of us. Did not give us the internet passcode, did not inform us about breakfast or provide us with a city map. She was extremely rude. In the evening, there was an older lady, who gave us the exact opposite service (it was so welcoming and genuine, it felt hard to believe we were at the same hotel).Rest of the hotel was good. Don't be put off if you get the rude younger lady

Very busy hotel with coach loads of new clients arriving and leaving throughout the day. Poor information on available services (eg breakfast times only advertised in the lift!) Good restaurant but again no accessible information about it. Reception staff were very helpful however.

Hotel cumulus in kemi is well located, everything is close by, all staffs are very friendly and very helpful, Specialy Karolina at the reception who was really nice to us and help us a lot.Kemi is a very nice city and have plenty activities, safaris, snow Castle within walking distance etc..*Highly recommended*

Our stay was pleasant and the service terrific. The hotel is a bit dated but the room was clean and the friendly service more than compensated. The breakfast buffet and restaurant were fine. I would stay again.

I would like to see the shower stalls be better cleaned. There was a small amount of mold beginning to develop on the tile grout, likely because the bathrooms are a little on the small side and are not receiving plenty of fresh air to combat the mold growth -- so more of a hotel design issue than a cleaning staff issue. The beds were comfortable and the room spotless otherwise. For a mid-range hotel, it's a reasonable choice and much less expensive than hotel choices in Rovaniemi.

We travelled from N.E. England. The aim of the visit was to treat my husband to the Sampo for his birthday. All the touristy attractions were based at Rovaniemi but the ones we wanted to do were based in Kemi, which were the Ice Breaker, Ice Castle and the Northern Lights, all could be accessed from either Rovaniemi or Kemi. The hotel was welcoming, warm and clean and when we booked in around 6.30pm local time the receptionist told us the Sauna was open. We stayed 4 nights. We ate in the hotel restaurant for 3 nights, and the 4th night we ate at a Finnish restaurant which my husband didn't enjoy as much as the meals in the Cumulus Hotel. There was a good variety of food in the hotel restaurant, the time we were there they were running a Chilli Menu which we tried on the 2nd night and thoroughly enjoyed it, there was an interesting chocolatey chilli pudding but we couldn't manage a 3rd course unfortunately.so I didn't get to try it. The Staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We didn't try the Sauna til the 4th day, I realised then why the receptionist had recommended it when we landed because it would have been perfect to 'chill' in after our journey.

After a long day travelling with children and lugging alot of skiing equipment, our room was at least 150m down the corridor and no trolley or help of any kind. Pleasing that the hotel had interconnecting rooms for our children, not all hotels do. Heated towel rail would have been nice for drying laundry.
