I've never stayed at Homewood Suites before. I booked this hotel because it was very close to my sisters house. This hotel was such a disappointment to me and my husband. We weren't expecting anything fancy, but this was SERIOUSLY run down. There were huge stains in the hall going to our room. The vinyl plank flooring they used in the kitchen area was so buckled up that it was definitely a tripping hazard. My husband had open heart surgery just a month prior and I was scared to death he was gonna trip and fall getting something out of the fridge. The sheets were too small for the bed and kept popping off and I swear it looked like they'd used a mattress protector as a "blanket" and it didn't seem all that clean. Whatever they'd used to clean the floors, left them sticky so my shoes would make that awful sticking-to-the-floor noise whenever I walked across them. The bathroom had ONE BATH TOWEL for TWO GUESTS and there was no floor mat or towel to be used as a floor mat. My husband almost slipped and fell getting out of the shower onto the tile floor. If I hadn't already pre-paid $358 for our two night stay, we would have checked out and gone to another hotel. When we were checking out, I politely mentioned to the front desk about the floor coming up in the kitchen being a trip hazard. Her response let me know my room wasn't the only one. She said the hotel would be renovated soon but we were MAD that we had no idea of the condition when we booked. I will NEVER stay again.

The suite was not very clean, no soaps are courtesy items, couldn’t sleep cause I felt the room was not clean to my standards, I’m use to 4 stars are better and my ac went out and this was a last minute hotel for one night

We stayed at homewood suites in mobile for 2 nights. The hotel was kinda tucked away but we found it. The room was a huge 2 br, 2 ba suite. Exactly what was needed for our family of 5. The room is a bit dated but very clean and comfy. We didnt expect for the couch to be a pull out bed but that just added an extra plus to our stay (kids didn't have to share a bed). The breakfast was phenomenal. They offered a pretty good variety and it tasted great. There was often a line for the waffles also. The pool is decent. It is small but it goes to 5ft. The 1st night we went swimming there were about 20 teens in the pool already at 9ish at night being very loud (this is def not on the hotel more so their parents). I will say that the woman that checked us in (didnt get her name) was amazing, sweet, kind, informative, helpful, and made everything very smooth and pleasant for us. Overall great stay and will be staying there again!

Very nice staff. Everyone was very friendly, professional, and helpful during our stay. The lack of ice machines on the property was a problem. Staff did supply ziplock bags of ice, but that wasn't what we are accustomed to. Not knowing who handled the ice or how was a factor.

Roomy comfortable room. Close to Mobile airport for early flights. There was evidently some kind of water leak in our room near the window (it was raining hard) as the carpet was soaked. Didn't smell musty but it will cause a problem if not fixed. Nicely designed rooms but some items show wear. Great breakfast and it was put out a little early to enable us to have breakfast before we had to leave for the airport. Hotel is in an attractive wooded area.

The hotel is in a good location for access to the University, the Botanical Gardens, and the Tennis Center. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet and the rooms are spacious. But the furnishings are dated and shabby, and the room was not very clean or well supplied. Also, the bedding and pillows were of poor quality.

We stay here a few times a year to visit family solely because of the suites offered. While guest services are always friendly, the hotel itself is in bad condition (kitchenette flooring peeling up, shower sunken in and won’t drain, paint peeling) and it’s never clean (hair in shower and kitchen, dishes with mold in them). I would never recommend this place but there aren’t other options in the location with suites

Looks like a recent storm hit the property. It smelled of mold and mildew. Even property employees were worried about the conditions. I overheard and employee passing a room saying get out the humidifier is broken. Our friend stayed on the 3rd floor and took pictures of mold and mildew in there room and ac unit

This property is a bit old and could use some updating. The rooms had window AC units, the furniture was old, the kitchen appliances were old, and there was chipped paint everywhere. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10am each day but they started putting the food away at 9:35am and refused to cook anymore. The pool area closes too early for this time of the year and there was no hot tub. Very disappointing considering that this is a Hilton property.

The young lady who was on duty while I was enroute to the property was very nice. For the most part the property was just like most Homewood Suites as it pertains to amenities, but some things were quite dirty and worn, i.e., carpet in elevator and hallway, fabric on some of the seating(room, dining area and patio around pool) as well as peeled fabric on faux leather seatsl. The property was not ready for a large crowd such as guests for the Spring Fling Festival because on Sunday morning they ran out of some breakfast items and the lady running the kitchen stated the truck did not run.

4 stars because it was clean, beds were good, quiet, a good value. But... room needed tons of maintenance, some threadbare chairs, broken handles, lots of stuff that tells you the maintenance has been put off for some time. Perhaps that was why it was such a good value. The 2 bedroom suite was actually two connected rooms sold as one suite... perfect for a family of four that wants some privacy. I'd stay here again.

Very poor service with the staffs from the time of checkin till checkout. Room was filthy, plus BR no commodities was available. Corridors and elevator was not presentable, filthy carpets! There was no time to look for another hotel when we arrived at 8 pm driving all the way from Houston , Texas. Staffs were not communicating what happens previously. Staffs were not that friendly when complaints are made. Gave them another chance the following day to clean room, silverfish was running in kitchen, did not provide commodities ,nothing was done. Was very upset with the staffs, was informed that there was no more cleaning lady that time we arrived 8 pm.Room was clean only the day before checkout. This hotel needs staff that shows caring to customers and make their stay comfortable, I will never stay in this hotel again. It was also hard to get in touch with Expedia who booked us in this hotel, so we can inform them what was happening . In there website it says no refunds can be made after reservations mad with this hotelI I thought our booking was great with this hotel and with high expectations but it was not! It was a very uncomfortable 3 day stay with this hotel.

This property is in much need of rehabilitation. There were holes in the carpets and flooring. The chairs were ripped, the couches stained. The pull out bedding dirty. The check in desk was friendly and a reason I give one start. We won’t stay here again unless they update/cleanliness improves.

I had just stayed at this hotel two weeks prior to this stay. I stayed in the same type of room but this was a different room on the same floor I stayed on two weeks prior. When I first entered my room this trip, it smelled just like “weed”. We smelled it every time we entered our room. But the next morning we couldn’t smell it. Also, when I first arrived and went in the bathroom, as soon as I turned on the light there was a bug, which I think is called a silver fish, went running across the floor. I had the curtains closed at night but there was a lot of light still coming in around the curtains due to a big light right outside my room. The positive part of this trip was the desk staff is friendly and they had a good breakfast available. I am coming to the area again soon but I believe I will stay at a different location next trip.

Pros: The check in staff at the desk were very friendly, I felt safe in the area, Good location, 2 great restaurants next parking lot over, could not hear any noise from other guest in hall or rooms next door. Cons: They did not have any clean towels or wash clothes the second night I was there so I had to use dirty linens the second night, and I noticed yellow stains on the sheets we were sleeping on. I believe and hope that the sheets were clean. I believe they were just stained. But still it looked gross.
