Convenient location close to the Mile. Dated hotel, but in good shape. Good breakfast, friendly staff and nice rooms at an affordable rate. Would stay again.

I like the space, its large and comfy. Breakfast was decent although busy at times. Is very close to everything including the trains and other public transit. Only annoying thing is elevators can take a while

This was a great hotel. Everything was perfect including the friendliness of staff, the location, continental breakfast, the views, and the pool was a huge hit with the kids. Would definitely stay here again.

Very centric hotel; comfortable rooms. Breakfast offered.

Place was fairly clean. The furniture feels like worn out IKEA furniture from a hand me down store.
Complete lack of power outlets, my wife had to pull the night stand out to reach hers for her CPAP. I had to run a cable into the bathroom for mine as there were no power outlets on my side.
My wife and I like it on the cold side(68 ish) but it seems that the hvac system was only kicking out warm air. We had to open a window(only one room's window would open) and then we lost sound isolation from outside due to that.
In general it felt worn down and dated. Felt like we were staying at the cheapest hotel in town.

I was shocked to enter a smelly suite. The carpet’s specially were having an odor. A tiny spider on the curtain. The bathroom floor not very clean. Stains on fabric, drawers, toilet walls. The toilet door was damaged and also the bedroom double door cracked.
So not at all Hilton level cleanliness and maintain ed.

It’s a good place to stay, with nice facilities. We love the pool, providing fun for the children. It has a fully functional kitchen equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. They have good buffet breakfast, providing variety daily. They have friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent service throughout our stay. We love the location, closed to most landmarks, accessible and walkable to local shops, restaurants etc. we really enjoyed our stay at homewood suites by Hilton as much as we love Chicago.

Without question, and hands down, one of the best staffs that I have ever encountered on all my travels.
Couple of issues with the drawers in the room breaking/not working and some lights USB chargers not working, but the helpful, sheer, and wonderful manners of the staff more than made up for any flaws with the room.
I'm there for the clean rooms, helpful staff, and proximity to the things I was there to see. This hotel was the best 3-Star hotel I have ever stayed in.

Only one working elevator. It took half hours to get to your room. It was a lot of time wasted

We had a great stay while in Chicago. We had a couple of maintenance issues come up while there, but the staff addressed it very quickly and were very kind. Would definitely stay there again!

Our family stayed here for 3 nights and we won’t stay here again. Thankfully, the staff was attentive and the location was fantastic- but this was the only plus of the stay.
Upon checking into our room we noticed stains, dents in the appliances, a hole from somebody kicking in the bedroom door- which had gone I repaired and to top it off - soiled furniture and black mold on the ceilings. We requested a new room, which the front attendant helped us with and I feel she was embarrassed and was not surprised by our feedback.
We moved to another room which was slightly better but still not what I would ever choose to stay in. The pictures are not accurate on the website- let’s just say that. If we could have found another spot, I would have checked out and paid the additional charges. There were just too many things to note here. They need to seriously overhaul this place. They’ve tried to renovate parts of the hotel but it’s like putting lipstick on a pig lol. The elevators take forever and are ancient, the breakfast is very basic, the bath tub took FOREVER to drain and Housecleaning comes every other day. Like I said, the location was great… I wish I had better things to say.

The staff was excellent!
What could be improved was the sofa couch was extremely uncomfortable. Very thin. Felt like the back pillow of the couch was missing. The hallway seemed like it had not been vacuumed in a long time as it was full of what appeared to be dog hair. What really mattered to me was your staff. Gerardo at check in was excellent as were Jeremy and Glenda that worked the breakfast buffet. Would return for that excellent service and would recommend the hotel just for that reason as well.

Everything is okay except the elevator is very very slow. otherwise is good.

Great location, comfortable hotel and service. Close to everything. Stayed here with family for a weekend trip to Chicago. I was specially impressed by the restaurants in the area which were all conveniently located at a walking distance. I was less impressed by the hotel breakfast which was routine. I like that they have all suites which is more comfortable for a family. The room was a little compact compared to other Homewood Suits, but being in the center of downtown that is to be expected. My only suggestion is that if 3 adults are to share a King sized bed then they all should have separate blankets so everybody can sleep better. As other reviewers have mentioned, with that many rooms and only 2 elevators you do spend quite some time waiting, so just be aware. All in all highly recommend this place, would definitely stay here again

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, the L, and downtown sights. We did not have a car with us so being within walking distance of public transportation and interesting sights was a plus.

Great attitude from the people at the breakfast, which is included, they always greet you and make you start your day at a great mood, bless them! the hotel is clean, and its location is unbeatable, they people at the front desk treated us great and the people from the valet are practical.

We came for a wedding. I called and asked for early check in. Instead our room was not ready until after 4 even though it was empty at 11.45 We were late for the wedding, and the valet needs more people.
10.0 / 10.0
The location can’t be beat - we felt like we were near absolutely everything. We used SpotHero to park about three doors down and it couldn’t have been easier or more convenient. There is access to the L less than 5 mins walk from the hotel, tons of shopping (Nordstrom is across the street) and cafes/restaurants, and so close to the Chicago Riverwalk! The rooms have so much space - a huge (by hotel standards) kitchen area, pull out sofa bed in the living room, and a spacious bedroom/bathroom area. Kids (ages 9 and 11) loved the indoor pool and breakfast was delish and always fully stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Can’t say enough great things about this property!!
6.0 / 10.0
The hotel is just off Michigan Ave and great location. However, our family suite was not very clean. The carpet was very dirty and sticky in several spots. The carpet was ripping up and fraying and the couch was sticky and stained. Catching an elevator can be a struggle and can take 15 minutes to get on one that has enough space for a full family. Breakfast was very busy, plan ahead. We requested a pack and play, and did not get one until night 2. Parking is not included in the price, so budget that into your trip as well. Pool had fun views, but is small. We travel with our children a lot and loved that there was a suite that would fit everyone with a kitchen. I was disappointed on the cleanliness. Staff seemed happy and kind with all our encounters.

It was nice to have a small kitchen. The hotel was in a good location close to train and bus stops and the major attractions were convenient using Lyft.

Room could use some updating and sprucing up, but the staff was great and accommodating, and overall, the hotel was in good condition. Location was ideal for shopping and dining. Parking less than a block away.
