Loved every bit of it. The transfer from Hamilton island to the daydream island location is a dogs breakfast. Very limited information on this and also can not rent a cart at the airport.

Daydream resort is a beautiful island suitable for all ages and families. Everything you need or want to do is right there.

The tanks and open waterways that displayed tropical fish was really great. The dining options are very limited, breakfast area was always full of birds both walking around and flying around which was unhygienic. Birds were stealing food off the tables and the buffet area. The staff were unconcerned and unbothered. Everything needed a bit of work, from rusted table legs through to aging facilities.

So expensive to stay here, it was ok but not for the mo ey we had to pay. Staff rarely cracked a smile, mostly young and miserable. Coffee desk sighed a few times and they were very very slow, no sense of urgency, even greeted us once by saying “what do you want” followed by a sigh. Swimming pools freezing. Had to ask constantly for fresh towels and to empty bins in room. Gave you 2 coffee pods at the beginning and they never got topped up, we had to ask for more to be delivered, the room team don’t top them up, only avail at reception. Breakfast very average, but you could find something that might stop you from being hungry. Balcony furniture falling apart and had been stuck with chewing gum at one point! Good to hear about the living reef, that was a free talk. Lovers Cove lovely and relaxing and sheltered from the wind. Takeaway lunchtime pizza was very expensive $30 for a 10” - greasy and really not nice, way too sickly, seems one step up from a frozen one. Intensity restaurant - tried to make it upper class but fail miserably with it being full of screaming kids, tables / cutlery not properly cleaned and over powering food / fish smells. 3 days maximum there I would say, we stayed 5 nights and found it to be too long, but it is personal preferences. Take food for lunches / dinner etc to help out. You can’t even buy a sandwich anywhere for lunch. The room has a fridge kettle and coffee pod machine. We also took paper plates and reusable cutlery as there’s nothin

Plenty of gluten free options and alternate milks for those with dietary requirements for breakfast Take reef shoes and make them available for purchase in the shop Reef world aquarium great learning experience.

Bed in resort was like sleeping on bricks. Bathroom has mould all in edges of bath/shower. Outdoor deck was unclean. Two dinning options and very expensive. Store on island I paid $20 for a box of Panadol 😳

It’s my second time staying at Daydream Island Resort. The ocean view from our rooms were breathtaking, and we spent many hours just soaking in the beauty of the ocean at our balcony. The clean and comfort of the room exceeded our expectations. The pools were as nice and enjoyable as we remembered. The breakfast was great with abundant varieties. Dinner at both Infinity and Salti were fantastic. We again had a wonderful stay at this resort!

Beautiful island, nice hotel. Very poorly run. Two outrageously expensive restaurants with limited menu. Nothing to do as it all closes at 3. Walked to back of island water sports closed by 3. Would not recommend.

Relaxed and easy going. Great place to hang and chill. The only area that needs attention is the variety of food it was a bit limited - that said we essentially self catered for lunch so not an issue.

Terrible holiday. Staff are very inexperienced and lack of interest in job can be seen. Food is expensive - limited choice No pharmacy or doctor available - we had medical situation that resulted in minimal support except one member who we thought was very caring - rest of other front desk staff zero care. Transport to island is very expensive - $330 for family of 3 - it’s a joke. Going to day trip $220 for 20 min ferry ride. Will not be returning here and I encourage you to review before you book. It’s a volume business not a service or caring! Worst holiday in 15 years!!!

Loved my stay, there were a few glitches like not being able to connect to the internet and some dodgy lights in my room that flickered but the staff went out of their way to help and were very good. Everyone I came across were great whether it was booking tours, chasing birds away from me or having a good laugh at kayaking but happy to provide management with the standout staff. The food was amazing and highly recommend the asian restaurant.

It was our first family holiday and Day Dream Island Resort was good; however, there were a few things that disappointed us. The room was lovely, clean and with three guests in our room, only provided towels for two. The pillows were terrible, the shower was difficult to get out of if you are short and the water was either way too hot or too cold - you couldn't regulate it and the shower head was terrible. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The gardens, pools were great. The only outdoor spa was spoilt with children in there using "donuts" and not allowing other guests to just sit and enjoy the spa. Lifeguard just watched and smiled without saying a word. The limited dining was not great and expensive for what you got, but the food was lovely. There were no good snacks/morning tea/afternoon options. Overall it was a good trip - the weather was great!

Great stay The resort is just on 4 star Breakfast just ok Missing little things like amenity bathrobes Slippers. No pool service Rooms are nice and the gardens are beautiful. For people who are not aware of it- there is no sand beach only coral beach so you can sit on the sand and swim in the ocean . The little convenience shop in the resort poorly stocked

Bad - initially did not get the room type I paid for. Good - this was fixed. Good - great place, excellent family resort, room was great, pool(s) were great, staff generally excellent, water activity stuff free, the nature on the island and the living reef is great. Bad - resort is lacking maintenance and TLC, food outlets operating stupid restricted hours, Questionable - Infinity restaurant overrated, Salti good, ie is what it says it is, great family restaurant, booze expensive,

Thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Found Daydream Island to be a very tranquil place. Room was clean and large and was quite modern. Only downside was that food and drink are quite expensive and there is a very limited choice. Lunch is worse with no options for a light meal. Breakfast was OK with plenty of choice although some extra staff are needed to keep various things topped up.

Stay was fantastic. I found every staff member I came across, from housekeeping to water sports, so friendly and helpful, especially the young restaurant staff who always gave great service. The food was really good too. A couple of touches that would have made the stay even better - bath robes in rooms, bottled water, and keeping the online almanac up to date (I walked down to watch the advertised outdoor movie one night but it wasn’t on). Overall I was really impressed and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

More Nightmare than Dream at Daydream Island Resort I've visited Daydream Island Resort multiple times, but my latest experience was utterly disappointing and truly felt like a nightmare. Upon my return from another island and a long day of travel, I arrived at the resort at 6pm, only to be met with the coldest welcome. No greetings, just a very unfriendly shift manager who informed me that there was no reservation under my name. Despite showing him my booking confirmation and proof of payment, he remained unhelpful, claiming he couldn't verify my reservation because their system was down and he wasn't receiving any emails. I even resent my confirmation email at his request, only to be told yet again that he didn’t receive anything. Standing there in the evening, without a room and with no immediate solution offered, was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable for any guest, let alone a returning one. This is no way to treat visitors, and it certainly tarnished the island's reputation for me. I hope this feedback prompts some much-needed changes in their customer service.

Overall property and service was excellent, great initiative to offer a $10 credit per day if you don’t require your room made up/cleaned daily. Particular mention to Daydream’s maintenance manager Kara who went above and beyond to help us and make us welcome when some tree trimming work impeded some paths. She was wonderful! Would definitely return to this resort.
