Excellent hotel & really professional & pleasant staff.
The breakfast was really good & the food in the restaurant in the evening was 10 out of 10.
Would highly recommend

Clean and comfortable-
Apart from the building works outside which seems necessary, it was a good city centre hotel for our Theatre trip.
Breakfast was good

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped hotel close to centre of Plymouth. Excellent staff and service with a particular shout out to Mairita who runs the best breakfast buffet we have seen in a very long time. Will go back just to see her in action again!
Thanks for a very enjoyable two night stay!!

I want to start by saying the front desk staff were lovely, even when everyone was asking them a million questions about the fire alarm going off at 10pm, but unfortunately the cleanliness let it down.
The bathroom had mould and rust in it, the shower made a high pitched screaming when used, and the mirror had cracks in it. Just to add to the experience, the lift display on my floor also didn't work.
The underground private parking is also a nightmare to find and I was driving around for ages trying to work out how to reach the entrance for it.

Suited my needs, simple and good value while on business trip. Lucky enough to squeeze in to small car park before it filled up. Decor is a little dated, but the place was very clean, and the heating and hot water worked well.

Booked a connosoir room
Turned out to be identical to a standard room [my daughter was in this]
We just had soft drinks and dressing gowns as extras in the room
Fridge had to be turned off as it was too noisy overnight
Shower head did not match riser rail and holder so has to be handheld: hose was so soft it kept interrupting the water supply.
Tea and coffee provided - no milk
Fetched this from reception on morning 1, requested room replenishment using door tag system - still no milk for morning 2
Having stayed here in May we were hugely disappointed with the drop in standards
Will not book again

Room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful.
2.5
Very friendly welcome and helpful at reception. Had a free drink in the bar… server was abrupt and not knowledgeable about what she was selling.
Breakfast good and there was a lovely helpful lady serving, nothing was too much of a problem.
Hotel could do with a refresh but ok for one night.

One night stay for a uni visit - everything was totally fine. the bedroom had lots of space, the bed was firm which might suit some more than others. The bedroom decor was very dated but room and bathroom were clean and functional. Breakfast was great with a excellent selection of continental and cooked. Vegetarian sausages available on request. Staff were very nice.

Friendly staff- nothing to fault.
Very convenient location.
Stained entry card, and dodgy bulb in reading lamp, but otherwise, no complaints whatsoever.
Would recommend!

Ideal location for the town centre and railway station 5 mins walk.
Walking distance to the barbican and hoe amongst other tourist attractions.

Stayed in the hotel a good few years back, the hotel is a friendly and clean hotel, our room was a little dated with a view of derelict buildings and building site.... Armarda way is the mail run through the city towards the Hoe. Plymouth council should be ashamed, this is not going to help visitors to the city. I will not be retuning unfortunately...

Staff was fantastic. Both thrilled I had pay to upgraded to air conditioning but it is what it is. As I shared staff was fantastic and I would stay again.

I liked being able to open the windows and enjoyed the tea making facilities.
The water was hot enough for a bath, the bed was comfortable and the television worked well.

Breakfast was very poor. Fruit selection was poor, hot food was all naff and cold except the baked beans, Plates were luke warm that did not help.
Not surprised as most breakfast buffets are usually poor. However, some hotels at least freshly cook an egg. The fruit juice quality was also naff, I bought a far better orange juice from Sainsbury's, that was next door!! So if one would like a good breakfast don't stay here!!!!
However, room including bed that I stayed in was pretty good. This hotel needs to sort out it's breakfast offering!
The hotel (unlike others in Plymouth) was pretty convenient for both the railway and coach stations, which ought to be unique selling point for this hotel.

Very good hotel and location great

All staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable but the bathroom wasn’t overly clean. With a little more attention to detail, this could be rectified.

Great central spot to explore Plymouth.

The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long while. Hair wrapped around the bath plug, body hair all over the bathroom sides and streaks of dirt everywhere. Bedroom surfaces full of dust, tired and sticky. Spare pillows were stained and did not smell freshly laundered. The room had a generally unpleasant odour. No air-conditioning and the windows only opening a very small crack meant that quality of sleep was terrible. They provided an electric fan but it was so small and cheap that it didn't work. It was also noisy in the corridors outside the room at all hours. No plug sockets anywhere near the bed. This hotel is very tired and seriously needs a refurbishment.

We were in Plymouth for a family funeral. This hotel was very conveniently situated, and we felt very comfortable staying there.

Staff very friendly.
Overall the condition of the hotel is very tired and dated.

The staff were great and helpful but the room wasn’t the best. It was so unbearably hot that we barely got 2 hours sleep. There was no air con available only a fan that didn’t make much difference at all.
