Large family room with three single bwds and rhen interconnecting room with a double bed. Bathroom well presented and functioned well, good water pressure despite being on top floor.
Beds were quute hard, not the moat comfortable, however i did manage to get comfortable enough to sleep. Haolened to be there during a storm and the windows were letting a bit of a breeze in, however, they are old buildings and i spose thats to be expected. Tea and coffee making facilities provided, as well as towels. Only stayed for one night but i would book tjere again if the need arose. Cheap and cheerful for location!! (1 minute walk from the natural hostory museum, 30 seconds from south kensington tube station. Very delicious sweedish bakery across rhe road).

Great budget hotel in prime location

Room had a comfy bed, heating very small bathroom

The hotel is worn. But the room is basic and clean, and the beds really comfortable. The rating reflects that the room was boiling hot, with a radiator on full speed, and with no possibility to turn it off (we tried). We were basically told there was nothing to do about it, were given a couple of fans for relief, and then we opened the window to the street to get through the nights. Aside from the noice from fans and trafic in the street, the room was still very warm. Not ok and not comfortable. However, the shower was mostly cold, and the first morning only one of us got a warm shower.
The location is great though. Just outside South Kensington St, and with a great variety of restaurants, shops, museums and parks within walking distance.
Despite the location, we will not come back.

Shower and bath were totally useless, less than a trickle from the bath tap. Shower was so hot you couldnt use it as there was no cold water.
Room smelt funny.
Took over 20 minutes to check in.

I went to the Premier of Save the Elephants at RGS, so convenie nt place to stay with lots of interesting outlets around the South Kensington Station. It was clean and warm so had a great stay.thanks

Great location. A few minutes walk from the underground and museums. Very polite, cooperative and helpful staff on reception. Nice, clean and comfortable room. Pretty quite and very
warm room with clean and cosy beds, small fridge and a kettle. A microwave was provided by a request for an additional small charge, but it was modern, clean and 100% useful for us as we made breakfast in it. Had an old fashioned and slightly damaged window which caused a draft, but it was not a problem as the heating was really good even when outside was -1C. The georgian restaurant on the ground floor provides a great service and amazing food for a reasonable price. Definitely recommend to stay here for those who wants to visit museums.

We only stayed one night and the staff were very friendly. The room was nice but let down by not having any hot water when we tried to use the shower in the morning. Can’t recommend it for this reason as it is fundamental
3.0
Pleasant hotel in walking distance to local museums and tube station. Comfy beds and clean rooms.
Struggles to get in shower as shower screen fixed and left very little room to get in, then no hot water in shower. Strangely the sink and bath taps were hot but no matter how long you run shower for, no hot water.
Heating in room was on full all night, so had to sleep with window open, with traffic noise keeping us awake until 1am.
Ok for a one night stay, but couldn’t have done another sleepless night and no shower.

Superb central London location. The beds are comfortable. The hotel's steps are rather steep for the elderly. Will keep in mind this hotel for the future trips to London. Thank you.

Lovely will come again

Basic room at a reasonable price

Just disappointing. No lift, loads of stairs which were dodgy. Stair carpet was loose and could be dangerous. The room was just basic/tired with outdated furniture. Very little space in the room. No evidence of recent decoration with chips in the walls.
Bed and bedding were nice.
No breakfast option.

Lovely hotel, clean and reception very friendly.

We had the best time in London. The hotel is a little dated but was clean and friendly staff, what more do you need...Location brilliant would definitely stay here again.

Great option for accommodation very close to local attractions and underground station. No frills, but has everything you need and the staff were friendly and informative.

Handy for museums and parks

Arrived at the hotel at 10.30pm to check in. Was asked for photo I d which I was not aware was required. No mention on any email when booking. Luckily my wife had hers.
No hot water in the room. Tv had no terrestrial channels working. Just apps.
Clean laundry and bedding.
Cheap hotel however no hot water is not acceptable

Stayed 1 night whilst attending the RAH. Got a good price for a hotel in South Kensington. It is a period building that has not seen any renovation for some time.It has a 1970's bedsit vibe about it, with no communal areas or bar/restaurant. That all said for £70 it was more than adequate. The room was small but was clean and quiet. There is no air conditioning but the room did have a fan. It is located right by the underground station with shops bars and restaurants on the doorstep. 5 minute walk to the museums.

Hotels.com advertised the room with a price and I ended paying double for a tiny room with rotten curtains and carpet, bad smells, broken things, 20 years furniture... 2 stars "hotel" after Afghanistan standards maybe. I will never go back even for free and never use Hotels.com again.

Very convenient location for the Royal Albert Hall and the Kensington museums, clean and good size.
But there are plenty of stairs and no lift.

Very central, great for using tube to travel around London.
Staff are really friendly and welcoming.
Great value for area of London.
At this price I wasn’t expecting a high end hotel room, for us it was simply a base to sleep in.
There are somethings, that also are minor, should really be standard in a hotel room of any price. The bedroom was fine, dated but no issues. What needs attention is the bathroom, the tile grouting and bath seals were old and dirty. The shower screen wouldn’t stay in position, so I had to put a wash cloth underneath to keep it in position. The shower screen again, dirty, in desperate need of replacement. These small details really let the room down.
Aside from this, the bedroom, as I have previously stated, old curtains, old mismatched furniture, basic issues but would really make a difference to the quality of the room

The room was nowhere near big enough for 4 people. There was no floor space. The window opens wide enough for an adult to fall out. The shower was so hot we weren’t able to use it. The beds were uncomfortable so we all came home with sore backs.

This accommodation is clean and well located. Negative:There is no lift.

Our room had a perfect outlook onto the main street. Though it was basic, we were comfortable and happy with the hotel.

Comfortable, quiet hotel. Cool on a hot day. Working tvs, clean and cosy beds. Spacious bathroom. The shower screen leaked so there was a lot of water on the floor after washing, but other than that I can't fault it.
8.0
The hotel was very nice our room was huge an we had everything we needed and was nice not to be hearing the other guests making lots of noise in there rooms. staff were very friendly and helpful only down side is there is no lift for prams and wheel chair users. Will definitely stay again but when my youngest is walking so we can get in the tubes more easily
3.0
Reasonably priced for a stay in central London in August. Room was a decent size, the bed was not that comfy and the bathroom was tiny. Reception staff were friendly. Very convenient for tube.
4.0
To many stairs to get to the room we had four large flights if stairs with heavy suitcases

We don't need any elegrant and extra service. The hotel give you a clean and tidy room. The location is very very convenient. You cannot request any more at this price. The only thing I think that they can improve is to provide one more socket for charging.

The location near the South Kensington tube station was great. The hotel staff were friendly. The WiFi was not very strong. The hotel rooms were a bit tired and there was no lift. But still a great place to stay.

Great location within easy reach of the museums and the west end. Lots of places to eat locally and a safe location with good public travel links to airport and sites.

Really nice place for the price, hotel could do with some modernisation though

Last minute booking and the family room was perfect for what we needed. It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and quiet.
