Unfortunately, You get what you pay for. Hotel layout is awkward, many dated features, and no breakfast. At checkin there was a mistake and we received keys to a room that was already in use...front desk kindly fixed mistake.

Ok, when we first arrived check in was great staff was incredibly helpful and we were very pleased. The room however was not, the ceiling had old water stains, walls were peeling, and there was a roach on the bathroom toilet. I was disgusted, immediately left. Staff was wonderful again and worked with us but yeah, I would never stay here again.

While this is not the Ritz, it was undergoing some continuing renovation, so parts of it were very adequate and nice looking. The room was clean and neat, the furniture was relatively up to date.. The Linens and the bed were particularly nice. I had a very comfortable night's sleep. The bathroom had a semi modern feel with good lighting and countertop space for your own toiletries. I would not hesitate to return.

This hotel has really gone down hill. It is supposedly undergoing renovations as per the reviews i read. When you first walk it the entrance it is extremely dirty as wells as the halls and the hallway smells, can't describe the smell but it was terrible, there was garbage everywhere. When entered the room there was a small hole in the bathroon door as well as stains on the ceiling in both the bathroom and main room. As per reviews read they stated there was breakfast available but when got there stated they don't offer breakfast on a sign. Desk clerk didi no mention anything didn fine him helpful at all. Would never stay here again.

The hotel is a little rough around the edges, the stairs had dirty carpets and there's trash in the parking lot, but at the end of the day the rooms were clean and it's in a great location. It's about a 25 minute walk through safe and scenic neighborhoods to get to Portsmouth center.I would definitely stay again

I can say if you are looking for a Portsmouth stay and don’t care about being right in town this place serves the purpose. It’s clean and cheap!

Staff was excellent and it looks like they are remodeling the hotel but our room had was pretty shabby. Window was left open in our room and the window crank is broken so we couldn't close it. Water takes forever to heat up. Pictures missing from the wall. The room was clean and the bed is a typical hotel bed.

The reviews in Expedia are all glowing- so it’s clearly been a bit since a new review. Decent enough. Needs a lot of work but comfy bed and hot shower so that’s really what we needed.

This hotel is under construction, but there was no work during our stay. Tom at the front desk was fantastic, very friendly and suggested Chauncey lobster pier for dinner. It is a byob waterfront lobster place and we loved it.

Hardly anyone there but didn't permit early checkin without an extra fee. Most places I go to are accommodating. I asked to use the restroom prior to checkin and was told there was none. Close to highway and extremely noisy all night long. Good rate comparatively speaking but not worth the discomfort or inconvenience.

Expedia advertised pictures of hotel having a pool with hot tub, and there was not!! I selected this hotel for that specific reason and it was falsely advertised. Employees were pleasant, but I was awoken by screaming loud vacuuming and yelling of cleaners at 9:15am after working all night. They were cleaning the only other room besides mine at the very end of the hall. I called front desk and they apologized and told me they had to continue because the hotel was fully booked. It didn’t seem right to me, considering they were going to have to come back after checkout anyway to vacuum my room right beside it…

The property is undergoing construction and thus is unattractive with temporary “carpet” and boarded up areas. The room we have has had some new carpet but the furniture is still beat up and tired. The curtains, although good quality and pretty are ripped in two places. The check-in person was very friendly and warm.

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the hotel itself was not great. The room smelled like smoke and was very outdated. The vanity light in the bathroom didn’t work so it was difficult to put on makeup. They were doing renovations so it was not very nice to see. It had central location to water park so it was convenient. Very pricey for the condition to be like this.

We stayed while hotel in renovations, but our room was nice, front staff personnel friendly and helpful. Simple breakfast every day. Common areas always clean. I felt safe there. It was comfortable and a good stay for 3 nights while we visited family in Portsmouth.

I knew going into this hotel that it was under renovations, but we were glad to have a clean place to stay that was very close to town. We made the best of the renovation inconveniences. Other than the fact that I had a full-size white refrigerator in our hotel room, everything seemed in working order and beds were comfortable. There was even a constinental breakfast in the nicely renovated lobby. The people who checked us in were extremely helpful and friendly.

Easiest check in ive ever experienced we had a last min change they were so accomoadating and friendly he warned us ahead of time the vedning machine wasnt working which was no big deal since the rooms have fridges we just brought our own most staff usuely never cares enough to let us know ahead of time but this guy did

For a short stay this was perfect. It is undergoing restoration so it’s a bit noisy and in need of sprucing up but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff checking us in and out were so nice and accommodating We left early but they were getting ready to have breakfast available. Would stay again for sure. Very reasonably priced as well

We were already aware that the property was under construction so that didn’t bother us. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member. Parked right by the door. It’s a non smoking facility but you could smell smoke in the halls and in our room. Fortunately I brought Lysol with me. AC worked great. Bed was just ok. Shower was hot. Breakfast was just ok. Place was clean.
