Everything looks great! The receptionist was nice and accommodated an early check-in around noon. The room was clean and comfortable. Plus, the staff was very helpful during breakfast, which made me feel well taken care of.

Dry good all round hotel in a good position in the city. Room was well appointed and larger than expected.

The hotel is has an exceellent location, walk to the museums, old town, canal rings and many restaurants. We had a nice canal view from our room, and our room is big.
The staff is friendly, and the loibby is nice with free drinks.
I don't give 5-star overall rating because the hotel staff never put a light bulb in the standing lamp next to the sofa, after our complaint. The sitting area was dark at night, and we had to sit at our bed in order to read.
4.6
The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance to many of the museums and not too far from the centre. The room was spacious and clean. Great buffet breakfast with plenty to choose from. The service was excellent with friendly and helpful staff members.

This is a wonderful place to book during a visit to Amsterdam, especially if you enjoy exploring museums! I felt as though the museums were literally in my back yard and with the warm weather the 5-7 minute walk to the museum quarter was beautiful. I felt incredibly safe and enjoyed having a panoramic view of the canal! On the other side of the bridge from this hotel, there were a lot of smaller shops, cafes, and amazing restaurants. I also loved only having to walk 5 minutes max to the nearest train station if I felt the need to go out and shop or check out other parts of Amsterdam. The staff were all very kind and accommodating with room changes and the people in the area were also very welcoming.

We had a great time exploring Amsterdam from this hotel in the Museum quarter. The hotel is fresh and modern within easy reach of the main museums and a short ride away or longer walk from the city centre. Its location in a canal was also peaceful.
Our room in the top floor with panoramic window was of good size and comfortable. The shower was great and coffee good.
Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food to suit every taste from savoury to sweet and from cold to hot. A great way to start the day!
Finally the hotel staff were courteous and helpful.
Overall a very good stay

Great hotel, very clean and staff always happy to help.
Location is great for all the museums and sightseeing but also quiet location everything within walking distance.

It was amazing to stay at Avani hotel! It’s so close to the museum quarter which is amazing and also so close to the metro which connects you to the entire city.

Great stay - absolutely recommend! Very dog-friendly and clean. Beds were comfortable and we had a view of the canal. The surrounding area was pretty and felt very safe.
It’s about a 5-10 minute walk from Albert Cuypmarkt and tons of dining options, and a 20-30 minute walk into the center. Staff were very friendly - they even had a place to store luggage after checkout so you can stay and explore the city before leaving.
We didn’t try their breakfast since we had our dog and pets aren’t allowed in the dining room. The downstairs market area was very convenient. They had a cooking area and sold drinks, beer and wine, snacks, and a few items you could heat up. Lots of working spaces in the lobby and patio, too.
Overall, definitely recommend!

Clean and spacious room. Great location somewhat far from the noise and crowds of the center

Everything was done well. Beautiful, comfortable and pleasant.

Great hotel, perfect for our family of three, lovely walking neighborhood, 2 minutes from museums, great food nearby. Super comfy beds.

Nice place with great location
4.6
The property is located in an ideal part of town to get to all the city's attractions. Staff were very professional and courteous. Challenges included the elevator not working.
4.6
Across from canal so easy access to canal cruising and beautiful view from window. Clean and comfortable room and helpful desk attendants. We enjoyed our stay here

From the day 1 we checked in at counter, the young lady is not friendly and patient to provide useful information same as breakfast lady who is loud and impatient to offer help or explain what’s going on ( the coffee machine is broken is not her fault I understand). Overall, one lift is very slow and staff attitude could be improved!
4.6
The room was quite spacious and very comfortable. There was a small balcony overlooking one of Amsterdam's canals. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so I can't review the restaurant. The location is a little far from the tram stops, but it's not a problem unless you have heavy luggage. When I contacted the hotel staff, everyone was very polite and kind. I would certainly stay at the hotel again.
4.6
Excellent location for museums. Good access to transport and restaurants. Ideal for short city break

Very well located for Museumsplein. Room overlooked the canal. Rooms light and airy. Great choice at breakfast buffet and lovely staff.
Reception is not adequately staffed at weekends meaning long waits at busy times (10am/12.00). Leave plenty of time for check out if you have a timed museum ticket. Also guests at Reception were not served in order in our experience.

Nice hotel!

We paid over €500 a night and got a dirty room.
4.6
There was lots of black mould in the bathroom around the tub, and the shower curtain was covered in black mould at the bottom. The tables and lamps were dusty.
4.6
Great value for the price.

Location was good.
Room was clean but tired/dated.
4.6
Convenient to museums and walkable to dining options. Enjoyed overlooking canal.

We enjoyed stellar service, slong with clean, comfortable amenities. Sergio at the front desk was a wonderfully accomodaying to our needs! Looking forward to staying here again in the future!

very nice hotel, close to museums and a great area with many restaurants

Cozy and friendly stay!
4.6
Hotel location was excellent walking distance to museums, transportation and restaurants. Breakfast had a very good variety of fresh food.
4.6
An excellent hotel on the edge of the museum quarter. Everywhere is walkable and public transport links are great. Lovely views of the canal from the higher floors.
4.6
Well located property in the museum quarter. Staff very helpful. Perfect for staying in Amsterdam but not staying. Very few perks in the hotel.
4.6
The bathroom was very dated and badly scratched sink, cigarette burns on the side by the sink, cracked sealant all along the top of the toilet box.
The room needs modernizing and whilst the air con was effective it was very noisy indeed - probably due to its age.
My room 220 was close to the lift and noisy with the lift motor, I think the receptionist put me in this room due to me complaining about the 20 mins wait to check in.
4.6
The only issue was that we were on the last leg of our vacation and needed to do a load of laundry. Last time we stayed, we were in the same situation and used the washer. This time it was out of order. Everything else was just great.
4.6
Check in was not ideal, the Hotels.com benefits were not acknowledged. Our room was pleasant enough, as was the bed. However, the pillows needed to be bigger, and the bathroom needs refurbishment. The had basin was cracked around the plug hole, for example. On the other hand, the towels were a good size. There is a good laundry that costs nothing, and everything is supplied. The free drink in exchange for not having the room cleaned is a great service. The location is excellent, close to museums, restaurants and the subway. I was a bit critical, but overall the stay was pleasant enough.

Have stayed at this hotel about 4 yrs ago. It was great then and was great again. It is a 10-minute walk to the two major museums. It overlooks a beautiful canal, and is a short walk to many restaurants/bars. The morining breakfasts, which was included in our charge, was okay, nothing too fancy. We upgraded to a sixth floor room with large windows overlooking the canal. Would definitely stay at NH Hotel-Museum Quarter again.
4.6
We had a bad experience at the dining area for breakfast. The Asian lady in particular was very rude to us, asking us multiple times what our room number was and we kept repeating it. We weren’t allowed to bring our dog to sit in the dining area (strange for a dog friendly hotel) and were told to sit in the lobby to eat our breakfast. The cleaning person (man) then told us not to sit at the tables in the lobby because he had just cleaned that area. The communication was poor along the staff members.
The front staff people were nice and welcoming. The room was OK.
