The Garden District B&B is an excellent location for a stay in New Orleans. It is in a great area for local shops and restaurants. It is only a short streetcar ride from the French quarter. Ray the host is super friendly. It is set in an old building but do not let that put you off as the rooms are clean , spacious and comfortable.

Awesome place and great hostess

This unique pre-civil war house is not your average B and B. First of all the host is great, the rooms clean and larger than you'd think but it is a very old property and not the Hilton, its New Orleans funky old world charm. You will not find spacious walk in showers but the water is hot and there is plenty of it. The stairways are not great if you have mobility issues but we managed fine. Only FYI I would mention is that the supplied breakfast is a grab and go continental and should not be counted on, way better food options are in the neighborhood. No parking issues, free on street parking and it all seemed safe and secure enough. I'd go back!

My husband and I had an amazing time staying at this B&B. The location is amazing being close to so many restaurants, public transportation and in the middle of the beautiful Garden District neighborhood. The property is a historic building itself and we stayed in the Martha/Porch Suite which we also loved due to it's spaciousness/amenities. Raynell was so helpful and such a lovely person to talk to! Her and her husband were really fun to chat with and so down to earth. Homemade pastries and fruit are available every morning. I highly recommend staying here and we'll definitely stay again next time we go to New Orleans!!

Raynell, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. The house was extremely walkable to fun restaurants and cute neighborhoods to walk in while enjoying your morning coffee. Great, charming place!

Very comfortable - I prefer staying in a house rather than a hotel because it feels homier. The host was very nice and accommodating

We loved staying here. It was an easy walk to all kinds of restaurants, bars, and stores. The city bus stop was also right outside. If you want to do the hop on and hop off bus, the B&B is in between two stops and is close to walk to. The area felt very safe to walk at night and was great to see all the beautiful and historic homes in the garden district. The house has so much character and is in a perfect location. I highly recommend staying here and hope to return.

Probably the best accommodation experience we have ever had. Staying here felt like we really submerged into life in a historic part of the city. The bed and breakfast was in walking distance to some pretty popular restaurants and historic sites. Parking may seem intimidating but there are plenty of streets to park for free nearby. We used Lyft to go back and forth from our stay into the French Quarter and it was never more than $12 at various hours of the day. Raynell was such an insightful host who was very knowledgeable about what to do in the area and nearby events going on at the time. She was very sweet to answer all our questions and gave good recommendations. Our room felt so cozy and reminded us of our home in New England. Will definitely be staying here when we visit again!

The B&B had all the charm of old New Orleans. Our upstairs rooms were lovely. My daughter and I were comfortable and felt very well taken care of. Raynell couldn’t have been nicer. We would definitely return. We loved our stay in New Orleans.

This B&B is in a very old traditional NO house so the quirks are there , But the host does everything she can to make it as comfortable as possible, she’s also very friendly and helpful. Only real complaint was the old bed frame squeeked whenever you turned in bed, The location and free unlimited street parking are great pluses,

We loved the cozy atmosphere and how close it was to everything in the garden district.

Raynell was great. The location was wonderful. I could walk in either direction up and down Magazine Street. It was close to every place we wanted to be. Could park on the street in front of the B & B. Older house but clean and comfortable. Nice patio.

Perfect placement right on Magazine St. where there is SO much within walking distance. Raynell is so sweet. She had a list of all the restaurants nearby and lots of tourist info. She was very friendly and I like her a lot. We stayed in the Rose Room, which is adorable. I love the old house made new again and also the atmosphere. Thanks to them our 2 year anniversary was so much more fun.

This+ guest house is atmospheric and retains much of its original character. It is convenient for the local buses ( less crowded than the nearby street car line) which go directly to the French Quarter, and beyond, and in the locality there are many interesting shops. Guests get more than just a bedroom, in our case we had a sitting room and access to the large balcony overlooking Magazine Street. We were able to "people watch " and one evening there was a "flash" bike ride outside the guest house. Other guests had kitchenettes. Breakfasts were more than sufficient. One of us enjoyed the fruits supplied, the other used the toaster each morning and there were cereals, yoghurts and pastries available too.

Great place to stay for a visit to New Orleans. The Garden District is a beautiful old neighborhood in itself, and the proximity to the streetcar line provides convenient access to the French Quarter. The B&B is a charming old house; our room was very big (bedroom+sitting room). The only warning is not to expect a luxurious hot breakfast -- the breakfast is continental and fairly basic, but we were eating so much good food in NOLA that we didn't mind.

This is a lovely old Victorian house in the centre of the garden district. It is a safe pretty residential area in central New Orleans. There are many restaurants and shopping options nearby. The St Charles streetcar is an easy walk. The bus goes past the door and goes directly to the French Quarter. I had an absolutely huge room on the ground floor with direct access from the street. It felt like going home to my own apartment. There is a large communal sitting room with a computer and printer available for guests, and if you have your own device there is free wifi (fast and reliable). Reynell and Louis are great hosts, and will give you any information you need. Breakfast is a self serve continental breakfast.I gave it a score of 4 overall but only because I dont want to suggest it is a 5 star hotel. It is not, but it is a delightful place to stay in a wonderful location.

This was a very comfortable B & B. The house was charming and the hostess was

Our room was well stocked with breakfast food.
It was in a great location for walking in the garden district and easy bus ride to the
French Quarters.
We would stay there again.

We only stayed one night but it was great. Very spacious, our room had a bedroom and a living area with a balcony street side. I loved the way we had to open the tall window and step out onto the balcony. The room had many amentities that made things very convenient (micro wave, frig, coffee maker). There is plenty of coffee, tea bags and condiments to make at your convenience. The breakfast is continental but the owners make it very convenient. They make sure. you have a couple different kinds of cereal and yogurt, juice and milk in the room and they put pastries on the table downstairs for their guests, which I must give my compliments to the chef. It was a very comfortable stay and we loved the antiques. The owners were very nice and more then willing to help their guests any way they can. I would definately recommend this bed & breakfast.

We really enjoyed the B&B. My only negative comment was that the breakfast part wasn't that special. I wish they had recommended some places nearby we could have gone out to get breakfast.
However, the house is beautiful and the owners are very nice.

The Garden District BnB was a great place to stay at! It felt just like home and the owner/mgr, she was very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of room w/in the rm that I have booked for (there was enough room for 4 ppl) and the 10' window to go out into the balcony is definitely an added bonus. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

Very clean and well kept, cute house, good location, odd configuration (Private bathroom that was actually right outside the door to the room). But there was only one other room on that floor, with it's own bathroom.

The people that run this bed and breakfast are fantastic! They went out of their way from giving us directions to the place while we were lost, showed us around the place and totally went out of their way for us in every aspect. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
