The terrace and the view were amazing. The bathroom was not so great, had some problems turning the shower on and occasionally the room had a strange smell. Hotel staff were lovely. The carpeting is very old and tired. Great value for the price.

Overall the hotel is very nice and good located quiet with excellent staff and customers. We ended getting a dirty room with used underwear and and unclean bathroom. The room filled up at night with flies and bugs all over which was very uncomfortable.

So, let's be constructive here. This is a 3/4 star hotel in a 5 star location. Can it be a 5 star? Oh, absolutely! Its all about detail. Detail, detail, detail. The carpets in the corredor, bedrooms and elsewhere are stained. There were ants in the bedroom. There were insects floating in the pool. The kitchen closes at 6pm? The pool's wc was not as clean as it should be. There was an unpleasant smell coming from, i assume, the pipes in the bedroom. Stall, very pleasant but could, some, do with more training. Details. You cannot call your place a 5 star with these issures going on. Would i come back - yes! But hopefull for this wonderfully located hotel to have improved significantly.
Oh, the restaurant in front of it, by the ocean side, Furnas do Guincho, is nothing short of sensational ! Try the shellfish rice, you can thank me later!

The hotel is in need of a total refresh, location and staff are lovely but they need to get rid of their smelly old carpets and purchase some new furniture. Just abit musty and shabby definitely not 5 star

Not 5 star and definitely not luxurious! 2 at most… the carpets are the most disgusting iv ever seen in my life! From the entrance … bedrooms…just everywhere they are black and stained! Gross!! The dining area had cobwebs and dead bugs hanging on the walls and ceilings. We checked out after one most uncomfortable night! They did offer other rooms but everyone just as bad. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

This property stole my heart with its friendly service, charming and elegant rooms, amazing balcony overlooking the ocean and beautiful pool and grounds. Rita at the front desk was a wealth of information for us and took care of our every need.
Breakfast each morning was delicious and had plenty of options.
The location was just a short drive to dining, a grocery store and activities.
Be sure to visit Guincho Beach nearby for stunning views.

Great location! . Wonderful breakfast (did not have the lunch nor snacks).
The staff was great ! Our car key would not work and our battery was dead . One fabulous young women (hotel employee ) took care of us, made calls to our rental car company and car service and got us back on the road to enjoying our holiday . She was great ( sorry that I don’t know your name .. you rocked !)
The only icky thing was the badly stained stairway, hall and room carpet … very off-putting

Loved: the location, cozy bed, lg room & lg deck with sea view, elegant fully loaded breakfasts in a lovely ocean view room, pool & garden grounds, parking, excellent staff, close restaurants and close proximity to town and Sentra if you have a car.
Of concern, as mentioned before, is the condition of the carpets.
Be aware there is some noise from road in front if you want to sit outside.

Authentic home in Portugal that once was a farm. Original cobble stone and building structure with some relics remain. This property will soon transform to a wellness spa keeping its heritage intact. I was greeted by wonderful staff and enjoyed beautiful breakfasts overlooking the ocean vista. In front of the hotel, the restaurant is fantastic and great walking distance from the town, with an easy lane for walking, jogging or biking.

Absolutely beautiful property and grounds a short 10 min drive from the downtown Cascais and excellent restaurants. We loved our spacious premium room overlooking the ocean. The bathroom was very large and luxurious. The carpet, which was old and stained, was the only major negative but apparently other rooms have new flooring. A room this calibre deserved cotton sheets, not poly, but we got by. The balcony was very large with two loungers and a table with two chairs, and with a stunning view of the ocean. The patio doors were new and easy to use. Breakfast was included and surpassed my expectations with traditional eggs, bacon as well as meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit (the best oranges!), champagne and juices and cappuccino. Lunch was not included but we ordered a club sandwich and it was delicious. We used the indoor and outdoor pools, steam and sauna, bucket shower and loved them all. But one of the nicest things about this hotel was the top notch staff. They were very professional, informative and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Spent New Years eve through January 6th at this hotel. Overall great experience. We wanted something quiet and close to Sintra. Here are my issues:
1st and 2nd day great...everything perfect
3rd day, they opened breakfast at 7:40 am instead of 7:30 and we run by the minutes and our itinerary got altered.
5th and 6th day no buffet so they brought us food to the table....thank you but it was too much food. Today was the last day and also no buffet and we ordered eggs and took 15 minutes to make eggs??!!! really?
The room was clean but with the rain there was dripping on the AC unit outside and didn't let us sleep well.
Customer series amazing!! Thank you Rita and Miguel...you were very nice and helpful. Overall, the property is nice and I want to give a 4 star rating (almost 5). We loved the location and the rooms are clean

Lovely hotel with an excellent view across the sea (ask for a front-facing room). If only the weather had been better, we'd have made better use of the balcony and outdoor swimming pool; as it was, the indoor pool and gymn were a good consolation prize.

Not sure if it was time of year and a long summer for the staff but the fact that this hotel is a 5* boutique hotel it was overall disappointing. There was not that attentive service that you would expect from s rated hotel as this, we felt the place was a little tired in not only staff but decor and buildings. On the plus we had a very comfortable bed and good size room. It was quiet and the hotel has easy access to Cascais (around a 40 minute walk and there are bike rentals available)
The spa facilities are pretty average but clean.
The cost vs experience we would choose other options in future - sorry to say but just disappointed.

Fantastic stay, service was great and the property is beautiful

Lovely hotel and setting but not to 5 star standard. Beautiful landscaping but rooms are dated. Carpet was old and dirty and no wifi in our room (703). Location requires a car/taking taxi as a long walk into Cascais and no dining at hotel in the evening. Nice pool area and buffet breakfast choice was good.

Nice hotel, but the rooms are quite small, no elevator to the first floor, but nice spa.
Was there for business for two nights. The spa area is nice with a hammam, a sauna and an indoor pool aswell as an outdoor pool.
Breakfast was quite good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, salmon, cheeses, breads, fruit juices. etc.
Staff was friendly, location a bit outside of Cascais, so we Uber'd a lot, which works very well. On average it took about 2 min for an Uber to arrive and cost about € 4.- per ride to Cascais.

The pool was not clean and also the spa need attansion

The location was great to beaches and restaurants. The place is visually appealing. However, the insulation for sound is poor and you can hear everything outside. Additionally, the walls are paper thin and you can hear peoples conversation from the next room. Our neighbor was obnoxious and would yell even louder when we complained to hotel staff. The looks are deceiving as you may not get the rest and peace expected from this type of hotel.

Liked the privacy of our room. Exterior area green & lush. However the room was very outdated. Carpet should have been changed years ago. Very musty room that was sprayed with perfume or cleaner to hide the odour.

We had a very nice stay for a weekend. Our room was beautiful, the bed was sumptuous with high quality linens and great pillows, and the breakfast had everything you'd possibly want.

This hotel is NOT a five star hotel:
We spend a week at the hotel, with no restaurant open for dinner ! the internet didn't work ! and the fitness room was a joke, where nearly all machines was out of function!
All in all, a giant and expensive disappointment.
Don't go there !!!
