We arrived, late on Sunday night and checked into the room.
I turned on the heating in the room. And went to bed.
The following morning. I itched a little, but went down for the good breakfast and out for the day.
When I got up the following morning. The room has warmed up and I was covered with about 12 bits and on closer inspection I found bed bugs.
I took a picture and went to reception and they moved me to another room. After that, everything was fine.

Had to buy milk as tea and coffee facilities did not provide. Room had a strange smell so had to open window. Breakfast room too small barely any space. Shower took a while to get warm otherwise all was ok

The room looked better in the pictures than in real life. I had booked one double bed for two people, but they gave us two separate beds pushed together. That would have been fine, but they also provided two small, separate blankets instead of one large one.

Room was too small for twin/double room. I might have been meant for single occupant.

I stayed at this hotel and despite my late arrival (after midnight), it was a very fast check-in. The hotel has a good location, just a few bus stops from the city centre and ideally situated for line 22 to the airport. However, I found that the access doors were quite noisy, which made it difficult to sleep at times. The room is decent, with a comfortable bed and a shower room equipped with the necessities. Breakfast is fairly basic, but sufficient if you're not too fussy. The hotel also offers the possibility of dining on site in the evening, which is practical.

Airport transport provided by the hotel never arrived. Rooms are noisy and everything is bit worn out or broken. Not worth the money. Breakfast is okay.

This hotel is one for the books. It is conveniently located in a quiet portion of the city but still accessible to public transport and food stores. Employees were well-versed in English and had no difficulty communicating with them. The rooms are also clean and tidy and the most important thing is there is a water heater for tea and coffee which I really appreciate. Breakfast is also a delight as it promotes Baltic specialities like the herring which I love.

Room was adequate and clean, breakfast was good, no milk provided for coffee in room. Hotel is quite basic, staff very nice. We did not pay very much, so wasn’t expecting the Savoy. The location is good, short walk to the old town. All in all, we got what we paid for so no real complaints.

Hotel was ok, old furniture, bed ok, good size. Enough water in the skower. Small fridge.Breakfast eas nice. Nothing around the hotel, like kiosks or restaurants. 15-20 minutes walk to old town.

Hotel is very tired and in need of refurbishment. Furniture is old and worn out. Beds very uncomfortable. The 20 min walk to and from the Old Town doesn't feel very safe.
On the positive side the rooms were clean and a basic breakfast is provided. Room rates are very reasonable and staff are all very welcoming

Quick check in, adequate breakfast but very very busy after 8am, comfy beds, kettle in room but no milk, we just hit some from breakfast and put it in the fridge in the room. I would stay here again

Staff was very helpful arranging a taxi for an early morning flight and even preparing us a breakfast to go!

Close to the bus and railway station. Indeed a lot of value for your money.

Perfect hotel. The room was very clean, the service friendly, and the breakfast varied and delicious.

Nice basic hotel with good breakfast. My second time here. Will book again. But, the room was really humid. Also the drinks they sold in the lobby desk wasnt cold. Wish fridge or something for those.

Good breakfast, rooms are okay and it's not far from bus/train station and the city

Good location, nice staff and nice room

No amenities: no soap, no hair dryer, far from Old Town

Very good for that price, near at old town. Breakfast was basic, but look at the price..

Only stay for one night, decent breakfast and soft bed that you sink in. Suburb location and quite dead in the neighborhood (no restaurants or convenient store). Tram 7 Bolt into the city. Ok for budget traveller.
2.5
Nice and clean room. Location is a bit away from the old town but it's easily reached even by foot. There was literally everything you need in the room: AC, TV, fridge, safe and a kettle. The bathroom was also big and quite modern.
The breakfast was lacking a bit but for the price it was almost unbeatable. It would have easily been one of the better ones if there had been 1 more bread type, natural yogurt and other spreads than butter. Check out was very quick and easy.

The bed was very scary. Full of stains. The soap in the bathroom was the same one labeled as shampoo in the shower. There were moths everywhere. And some hair in the bed.

Receptionist was super polite and efficient. Room was fairly big, had kettle, fridge. Bathroom was big. Everything was perfectly clean. I didn’t realise had a free buffet breakfast, can’t fault it at the price. Was easy walking distance to centre approx 20 mins

Good hotel.

Old, dated not particularly nice. No bar, no restaurant. I did ask the staff if there was a bar or restaurant in the area and was told no, I then did not understand why the hotel closed there own bar/restaurant. Went for breakfast twice and still couldn't get seated so I gave breakfast a miss. Won't be going back.

Spacious room, good water pressure in the room, varied breakfast buffet. But i didn't sleep well, the mattress was so soft i needed to put a pillow underneath the small of my back for support. I was woken suddenly at 04:30 by extremely loud squeaky floorboards in the room above. I've never heard floorboards squeak so loud.

Noisy guests ( not the hotel’s fault ). Poor wi-fi connections.

Mye for pengene,,ingen luksus, men helt ok

Very thin walls. Slept next to somebodies bathroom, literally getting woken up at midnight by someone next door using the bathroom. Apart from that you hear everyone in the corridor etc. Apart from that, it was a stress free stay

Absolutely remarkable place The front desk people were amazing. The room was spotless the breakfast was more than adequate. It was a lovely week.

The sink was blocked up and water barely ran down. First day shower had only cold water. Otherwise pretty solid for a place just for sleep.

A nice place to use as a base for exploring Riga. 12 minutes from the #22 bus stop (airport bus) and 10 minutes from the coach station if you fancy going further afield. Reception area was well presented with a warm welcome from the staff. Room was clean although could have done with a larger sized duvet.
Buffet breakfast is served 7-10 during the week (8-11 weekends) with plenty to eat although some pastries would have been a welcome addition.

Good stay for a quick trip. Rooms are extremely basic and out dated but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was just ok. 10 minute walk to old town.

Hanza is a great budget hotel near the central station in Riga. Rooms are clean and the staff and breakfast are fine. Only really two negative issues -
The wifi isn't very reliable and keeps dipping in and out making it awkward if your in town on business.
Also the television seemed to not be able to pick up channels correctly and was unwatchable.
Maybe they were having issues with the signal because of the bad weather?

Simple hotel with very good price, service good for the price. 10 min walk to the very downtown.

Nice size room and barhroom, but the fridge was making a terrible noise all the time. Tiles and the sink in the bathroom was cracked, no shower curtain or sliding mat! Shower holder didnt work. Ok area if you dont mind to walk a little bit.
Breakfast was tasteless and few options.
1.5
OK hotel in walking distance from bus station and marked place. Nice room, with a small double bed, very suitable for one person. Quiet area, just a few minutes to walk to nearest tram that takes you to old town.

Stay in the hotel was good, but Transfer made by hotel for myself airport to hotel was 35 euro on way home a got a Bolt taxi that cost 11 euro . So if your travelling Latvia down load Bolt taxi to save some euros .
