Location is very good for everything. Staff are very nice and helpful. Place is clean. Noise from below restaurant kind of loud on the weekend.

This weird little place is over a strip club, with loud, pounding music and shouting revelers till dawn on a Tuesday! Tiny room with a lightless window to an alley; dirty blanket. After booking one night, they emailed me that 2 nights were required so I paid for 2 but left as soon as I could get out of there. Nothing positive to say except that it's well-located--find something else nearby!

In the center of the city but also in the party district. Small clean rooms, friendly staff. Bathroom a bit worn out. Small restaurant for breakfast. A lot of noise, loud dancemusic untill 5 in the morning.
All in all worth the money, but dont stay there if you cant handle a lot of noise during the night.

The first room we were given was atrocious but staff was helpful and we got a different one which was a bit better. Location is very central but the whole building needs an update.

This property was in a great location for visiting the centre of Porto. There were loads of things to do within easy walking distance and the included breakfast was very helpful. The surrounding area was a little noisy, but that is to be expected in a busy city.

Good location near everything. Is clean and a plus has elevator. Because is in downtown is a noisy neighborhood on weekends. And other plus, provide breakfast.

There was so much black mold in my background. I flagged this to a staff member and the response was muted and indifferent. Tough to sleep on a weekend night. Clubs closed at 4am and then after hours let out noisy people at 6am as well.

The staff was so amazing and honestly a place that I would stay at again over and over when I come back to Porto

The location is great, basic good breakfast available. Good bathroom.
Bed matress are not comfortable for 3 nights, cleaning could be better in the room

It was ok not my usual experience with hotels.com

Booked last minute and was exactly what we expected for the money. Clean and friendly, super little breakfast and right in the middle of everything. We arrived very late on a Monday night and nothing was any trouble. Brilliant.
Not sure if the surrounding bars are always open late but on the night we stayed, the music was thump, thump, thumping til around 3-4am.
Not a problem for us as we both like a busy neighbourhood and find the noise quite a comfort.
Thanks for the great stay!

Liked:almost every amenity was nearby; friendly helpful staff; there was door security during the night
Disliked: the breakfast option was very limited - the croissants and juice were awful; my room wasn't cleaned 2 out of 4 times; the shower cubicles need updating/regrouting and the shower doors leak; no mirror/vanity desk in my room; noisy street on weekend nights followed by early morning road works noise; in room:no room decoration, coffee/tea station chair or rug, rather drab; reception area could be redecorated eg, better lightning, flowers - just a few tweaks could make a big difference

Great location, everything near by, easy walk around, all the nice restaurants nearby. Very friendly sfaff, everyone say hi when you in and out, ready to help you at anytime. Great experience small hotel like home

The hotel room is not comfortable. We were moved (from a single) to the double we paid for after 1st night. A 3-star is never going to be fancy but there’s still things you would expect (comfy linen, a shower with holder, a tv that has a remote and isn’t in the top corner of the room) after paying nearly £300. The breakfast is very cheap ingredients and a lot of sugar. The staff were friendly and helpful which was nice. The location is very convenient for exploring the city, but be aware you are above a row of bars open until 4am (great if you’re looking for that kind of trip). Overall our stay didn’t represent good value for money.

Party area all night long. So, very noisy throughout the night.
Smelly bathroom.

Be sure to bring your earplugs as the street is “festive “ til 6 am when the city sends out the cleaning crew to make the street respectable again.

So close fir everything really walkable fir everywhere
BUT
Lot of noise at night because a club or bar under my bed I can hear everything
But
Morning around 5 to 7 am the noise was for cleaning the streets very loud and scream noise
So be aware of that

It was very friendly staff. The best part was the breakfast staff. The ladies went above and beyond and brought full breakfast to our room even though they didn't have to, each of the 3 days we were there! Everyone was extremely friendly and there was nice places to eat and drink on the other street so very convenient to stay there!

The staff were very friendly but this place is right in the middle of open bars and clubs that go until at least 3 am. If you sleep soundly, great, otherwise it’s rough. Room is very basic but clean. Had to sit sideways on the toilet to give you an idea of the tight squeeze. Great area during the day and close to many things.

No daylight in room due to broken sun blinds. No chance to open a window. Window does not close properly and it's very loud at night. Hard to communicate with the staff in English.

This property had a great location, right near the famous bookstore and several of the iconic churches of Porto... BUT when I read about the noise complaints from other reviews I thought I could just sleep through it (I am a deep sleeper).... Their were people screaming, music blasted, and pretty much anything and everything noisy you could think of until 5 in the morning. SO NOISY.

The good stuff is that the hotel is right next to everything you need in the city ... you can easily walk to see most of the attractions the city has to offer. The down side is that the noise from nearby establishments goes on until about 0430 in the morning if you are lucky ... definitely recommend ear plugs ... if you are sensitive to bass vibrations too then give this place a miss. The en-suite in our room was extremely compact and being a larger kind of guy was a struggle sometimes. But on the whole ... given the price and convenience of the place ... it was OK overall.

It felt more like a hostel than a hotel. You have to lock yourself in your room which is a fire hazard. They make you give back the key when you go out which is unusual. The rooms were small and it is an extremely loud neighborhood. The beds were okay, but not great. Wouldnt stay here again, but it would work in a pinch. I certainly wouldnt give it 3 stars, 2 at best.

Very good location. Clean, although small, rooms; which is to be expected based on the relatively cheap price. I am 1.80 cm tall and the bed was actually too short. Breakfast is ok. However, the guest house is located in a street with night clubs, which makes it extremely noisy till about 4 am.

The location was central, however the noise at night was sometimes unbearable! difficult to fall asleep to loud music and screaming.

Location excellent. Room and facilities were as expected for the price and totally fine. Breakfast good. Staff helpful and friendly.
I was aware, from reading other reviews, that there were noise issues at night from the local bar(s). Sadly this was true and, despite being on the third floor and having the window closed, this was still a big problem. I can handle a certain level of disturbance, especially when I expect it, but to have music playing until 6am was madness. I expected 2am, 3am or even 4am. But 6am?!
Sadly I would be unable to stay there in the future or recommend to anyone else as long as that is the case. Which is a shame because of the many positives.

Room ok. Central location. My room backed on to street full of bars and was a little noisy late at night

Small rooms, shared bathrooms. There was a terrible smell when we turned on air condition. Quite noisy during nights, thin walls.

The staff were amazing! They brought us breakfast in bed (no extra charge and without even being asked) and treated us like absolute gold. The breakfast every morning was divine. I loved my stay
