The location is convenient, but the dirtiness and rudeness of the staff doesn't make it worthy. Everything is filthy, mold and dust, and stains in bed covers (new ones, not cleaned). It is not cheap and in my opinion it's not worth it. It is one of the filthiest places I've ever been and I am use to travel all around the world.I wouldn't recommend it.

Hotel is very fun down
Reception staff very unfriendly
Don’t take credit card and insist on cash before they give you a room key….even at 1230am
Room was facing the street and it was extremely noisy all night
On a positive note it was cheap and reasonably located for the old town

Went for low cost. It was a bit overrated.

This hotel was very well located, you can walk to every Porto's attraction easily. There are tons of restaurants, pharmacies and everything you need nearby!
It is very simple, but for people that like me that only need a bed and a good shower it serves the purpose. The staff was very nice and they helped my son and I with my bags and everything else I needed!
I would definitely recommend for those traveling on a budget but like to have their privacy in their own room.

Very convenient location for intercity bus or train travel. Within walking distance of most of the major attractions of Porto.
Does not take credit cards.

It was what very good staying there, close to the center of Porto, the bedroom and bathroom was very clean, and comfortable.

This place has a lot of charm for the age, staff is very nice and accommodating with limited English. If you are looking for cheap place to stay with walking distance this is your place. If you are looking for good night sleep it might not happen. “Comfort of the mattress” ( at lease in our room), shy away from 1st floor-location of the reception), located in great area but on busy street with traffic!

Nice location. Interior is a bit older in style but well maintained. The beds were a bit harder than we prefer but not horrible. It was nice that they provided laundry services at 6€/basket. Easy walking to servers major sites in Porto. Only issue we had was locating parking as there is no parking on site for the hotel.

surprise - they dont tell you in advance that they dont take credit cards. and its so f--king cold, not even their portable heater works. the staff wear their coat and theres not enough to move in the B/R since they have a bidette in there too. no bkfast. find a better hotel. i would not come back here.

I was given a triple room so there was plenty of room for just me. Staff friendly, location fairly central but Porto's roads can be confusing. Sleep disturbed by traffic noise.

Not far from the Ribeira neighborhood where most attractions are. Very competitive price for the location. Service was great. This is a no frills establishment, so everything is basic here. As long as you keep that in mind, you will enjoy your stay.

It's a cheap hotel. And you get what you pay for. The room was really basic with not much space. And without a cupboard. It's suitable only for sleeping, not much else.
The stuff was really kind but they didn't speak English.
The location is excellent. The city centre and the sights are 15-20 minutes way on foot.

Great location. Dated hotel but very clean. Guy on reception is very nice and helpful. A shame the woman on reception wouldnt let me pay for late check out. 2nd time have stayed here and would stay again.

Get what you pay for. Perhaps the entire bed and sheets need replacing to stop the unpleasant smell that hits you when you get back in after a long day. Cheap Room though

Great location but furniture is very old

Bathroom is in need of updating, especially the tub. Hardly enough room to walk between the bed and the wall. No remote for tv. Only one small light for the entire room.

The place is slightly worn, but the staff is very friendly. The location is amazing - around 10 minutes walk from the major sights in Porto.

An unremarkable but serviceable budget hotel. A little bit further away then post hotel from the main tourist area, but for the price you cant complain. Room furnishings were austere, yet fine for a single night. My main gripe is the hotel does not advise many of its rooms are windowless.

Be careful when you order a double room. You may end up in a very small room with no window. The only good thing about this hotel is price. Location is ok too.

It was terrible no windows the room was tiny and we almost couldn't breath, the shower curtain smelled so bad I couldn't stay in the bathroom. Neither in the room. Worst place I have ever been in my life. The stuff didn't speak English at all.

Thank goodness we only spent one night at this place. To begin we were at a so called family room and there was barely room for two of us, I can not imagine even a baby in there. The room was in the interior of the building with no window and no air conditioner, quite uncomfortable in record high temperatures. The bathroom smelled bad and there was mold from top to bottom and left and right.

good location. but very noisy at corridor. Did not mention the room is without window when I book !

Great location and amazing and friendly staff.
The room was small with hardly any space between the bed and the wall when walking to the bathroom. There was no windows.
The bed was comfortable. Wifi was poor.
Noisy corridors. You can hear every room on the floor and what people do.
The bathroom was in a very poor state. The shower courtain was filthy, the shower head full of lime scale. There was a water tank in there and the toilet seat was loose.
For the price I paid, it was a great find.

Suitable as a place to stay overnight. It's location is it's main positive.

The room is surprinsingly small. No window at all. It is located a bit far away from the nice places.
But it was cheap, clean and quiet.

These are not expensive rooms so you get what you pay for but the staff are friendly and accommodating, they are security conscious so you feel looked after, no air conditioner but a fan, a common eating, kitchenette which is handy but walking distance to everything including the metro, the tourist bus, the old city and Porto Riveria. There is a great little cafe just after a small commercial centre just across the road up the hill where all the buses pull in. I popped into the Commercial Centre to print my boarding pass out as the hotel internet is slow and drops out.

good location in old city, 10 min walk from metro. close to river

It's located a block from the long distance bus terminal and close to most attractions in the City, so it is a perfect place for an overnight or a short stay. However, everything else is just basic .... or even below basic. During our stay, the temperature dropped below 10C or 50F, but the place does not have heating (I guess no air-conditioning in summer either?). Even though the owner provided us with an extra blanket, but the room was still cold. The room does not have enough lighting source (only one small light bulb), and the washroom is very small. Even though the staff seemed to be nice, but their English skills are a bit limited.

Despite that we made a reservation for 3 queen beds, they gave us 2 queens and 1 single beds. Although we strongly insisted for 3 queen beds more than 10 minutes, they did not accept our claim. However, as soon as we tried to call your customer service, they change their attitude and give us 3 queen beds. It was very bad check-in.

The room was right by a busy street, but it was really nice/clean and the staff was great.

It was fine. It was a quick stopover stay and we weren't expecting much. The rooms were clean and spacious enough for a 1 nighter. Good food at the restaurant next door, and a carnival down the hill under the bridge (although I'm not sure if it's seasonal- we came just before St. John's Day). We didn't find Porto hospitality to be too hospitable.

Well located hotel and low cost, very traditional budget feel.

Good location and clean. But a two big details that leave a sour taste. 1st - Payment is in cash only, even though the room is booked using a credit card. Not sure who's at fault (expedia vs. hotel) is it but it was not clear that it was the case. Would not be too bad except that portuguese ATMs only let you withdraw $200 euros at a time, and if you are using an international card you get charge for every withdrawal. 2nd - Walls between rooms are extremely thin, so if you have late/noisy neighbours it will make you restful sleep a challenge.

If you have any accessibility problems, this is not a good place for you, as you are met by stairs when you open the door to the hotel. Other than that, I found this hotel to be clean and fine. We paid 50 euro for two nights (two people), and considering this price, there is nothing to complain about! Clean, comfortable space, perhaps a little noisy outdoors but it stopped around 11 o'clock. The area is very quiet at night, and come across as a little dodgy, but if you are two people, there really is not an issue. The receptionist can't speak english, but it worked out fine anyway! There is no air conditioning, so maybe this is not the place to be in August. But for july which was surprisingly cold, it worked out fine.
