The room was cleaned in a good way and the working stuff was friendly. We had to check out during the night and the man was super friendly. For that price we had a good stay.

I had one night stay at this place. Everything was fine until I got home. I realized I got bedbugs bites all around my body. I contacted the place about the situation. I expected them to take the responsibility, because I only stayed at their place during my 2 days travel. They totally refused it and said it wasn’t their problem, which it obviously was. Bed bug bites take 2-5 days to appear, that’s why I couldn’t see it at the time of the checkout. No, bed bugs cannot bite you when you sit in a bus or something, they need you to sleep and I wasn’t sleeping any other place than theirs.
All in all, I don’t care about the bites that much, the thing I care is I hope I didn’t bring the bed bugs with me to my place.
Also I want to warn other people… Instead of taking this seriously and cleaning the place up. They pretend that it’s not their fault, therefore the bed bugs problem is still persistent.
Not worth it for all the trouble…

Clean, quiet, comfortable room as described. Hotel was close to several metro stations and 10-15 minute walk to the old city centre / douro river. Lots of great restaurants and shops near by. Staff was polite and friendly, provided excellent recommendations for our stay.

Really close to the river side. Plenty of shopping around. An amazing pastry café next door. Definitely will stay again

Everything except the bed was fine. Like sleeping on metal frame/coils without the padding. I have slept on thin camping pads that were more comfortable.

O atendimento foi fantástico, super atenciosas e preocupadas em proporcionar uma boa estadia.Fiquei no quarto n. 6, bem amplo e confortável.

Was a fantastic budget place to stay and in a good location. For some reason my room smelt of cigarettes a lot but otherwise the stay was very comfortable. I must say the lady at reception was VERY friendly and helpful!

The hotel room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room is functional but perfect for a couple of nights in Porto. Handy location for exploring.

It’s a good place to stay, the price is really good. The staff was nice and the room was tidy and clean. If you want they said they could clean it everyday. The bed is not really comfortable but overall I really enjoyed everything.

Breakfast was not included in our stay so for the money of around £30 a night this was not bad at all. The room (No 8) was on the 2nd floor was okay although we only had a small window which led to the internal courtyard and it did not therefore let in much light so the room was dark. Sink was in the bedroom which was strange, and I would say it was one of the most basic rooms I have stayed in. Laminate flooring could do with changing as it was looking tired. The room was very cold even with a small oil filled radiator. It made getting the towels dry very hard. Most of the cold came via the shower/toilet and from the inside of the window which was single glazed and was wet with condensation in the mornings. This may not be too bad in the summer but this was November.
There was a small kitchen on the floor but it was basically equipped, with a small coffee machine but one would have to buy packs of filter coffee to use this. I like a cup of coffee when I wake so I would have thought a coffee machine could have been proivided for the use of all customers. None of the staff spoke English so communicating was a problem, but this cannot be held against them. The bin in our room was never emptied.
The best thing about this hotel is it's location which is spot on & only 5 minutes walk from Sao Bento Metro & Train Station, the main Placa Da Liberdade Square (where the sightseeing buses and walking tours leave from) & Santa Catarina Street for the shops.
Overall a rating of fair.

Location is good and wifi speed was ok. The room is very small and a lot of noise from the street can be heard. No air con but at-least they had a fan which was a relief in the warm weather.

Lovely staff and clean. Room a bit dark. Kitchenette an unexpected bonus. Great location to start Camino from as close to Cathedral

Slightly hard to find at first but a nice, well-furnished place. A bit older in decor, the bed was harder than we are used to and the shower was small but functional. The man running the hostel was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel offers basic accommodation at a reasonable price and is located conveniently to Metro Station 24 Augusto, the funicular railway down to the Riverside - and for walking to the higher crossing over the main town bridge and the main tourist sites. The WiFi is free - but infuriatingly slow and only available by the corridor.

The staff is great, room was good. We had the room with the round bed and mirrored walls, which was very entertaining. Biggest issues were that, with the weather being warm, you either need air conditioning or at least a fan, and since there were neither of these, you needed to leave windows open because the room was very warm at night, even after leaving windows open during the day. The problem with leaving the windows open at night, is that the room is on the street side, and you hear lots of noise all night long. I mean all night! The street noise somehow echos directly into this room, even though it's second floor. There were people having phone conversations under our windows at 2am, trucks, cars, groups walking by having loud conversations at all hours of the night. Then when you think everyone is gone, there are birds, seagulls, etc. making more noise. We did not sleep well during any of the 4 nights we stayed. Also, the shower sprayer holder was broken, so you have no choice on taking a shower, and the water pressure is extremely low, actually increasing the time to shower.
