Hotel was not what we expected. Over priced, more like 2 stars. Pools were old and dirty. Food was not good, very little options. Sunbeds were broken. Service was really slow, and mostly drinks that they served were not cold at all. Over all the hotel needs to be renovated. We had all inclusive (not a good option in this hotel). Our room balcony door has to be forced to open (old, did not work anymore). Good thing was our rooms bed and sheets, those were nice. I don't recommend to pay much for staying in this hotel. We also spend nights other hotels in Diani beach and those were more nicer and more value of the money.

Way too many flying insects on, yes, on the food.
Flies at the dessert stations...flies at the tables when eating.
Hot tubs are accessible only when purchasing spa services. And the hot tubs were tiny, fits 2 only.
I did not feel comfortable using the beach, too many unknowns approaching you.
Insect, fruit flies in the rooms.
Light switches are confusing.

Great food staff friendly. Some repairs need around property. The spa was one of the best I have gone to.

This is my second time staying in Neptune. I booked a room at Neptune Village again however it was closed at this time due to covid. We stayed in a room in the “village” but all the facilities are closed. We used all the facilities in the “palm.” The first we arrived, all meals were ala Carte as there wasn’t many guests staying. On the second day and onwards, the meals were buffet.
The rooms are spacious however it definitely needs an upgrade. We stayed in Room 8 which has the best view of the sea and the palm amenities.
The staff was fast when replying to my queries and requests.

Nice place for a holiday, especially good for families with young children. The towels and bed sheets are worn out, shower has litttle pressure and the swimming pool closes at 6pm everyday for treatment - no wiggle room here. Its understandable for the safety of the children, but the adults miss out on hanging around the pool and bar pool till late. Overall, good place to stay

Probably would not go back but was ok. Needs better deco and more efficient bar staff.

Neptune is a fantastic place to stay- easy to get to from ukunda or mombassa (longer drive). The hotel is right on the beach (though all the beach chairs are on the grass above the beach), and the beach is gorgeous and well maintained. Security is always around. There are multiple restaurants, bars, and even a snack bar, to ensure everyone's needs are satisfied. Activities organized during the day and at night for those that are interested, water sports, fitness.. The hotel staff is extremely kind and attentive. they will come ask if you need anything, even when laying on lounge chairs, and will provide support as needed. I got sick one day and most staff came to see me to ask how I was feeling, were attentive to food and drinks as I needed...incredible. Some even speak german, french and various other languages..
Any of the three neptune hotels on sight are great-and interconnected.

pleasing experience, would go back if rate is lower.

The stay was ok. Hotel staff generally slow to respond but the food was great.

For a 4 star hotel, you need 4 star staff - and the personnel working at Neptune clearly are not trained hotel staff. This shows in many, many, many issues you would not expect in a 4 star hotel at a 4 star price: Toilets are dirty, faucets are leaking, crabs swimming in the pool (over days), drinks are luke warm, the room safe didn't work and the hotel safe was only available at extra cost, the water in the shower would only trickle, not run and the ceiling fan either runs at full (noisy) speed or not at all.
Bottom line: Far too expensive for what you get.

After checking in, we felt pushed around. We were recharging our laptops in the empty lobby, but we were told to go do that in our room. Too many confusing unwritten rules. The beach was nice.

The Neptune Village is becoming 'tired'. Recommended to use the safe in the room but it didn't work for the first 24 hours. Room telephone did not work throughout stay and staff appeared uninterested. Staff we're slow to react to problems.Room was ok and clean and food was average. Difficult to have a relaxing time with loud music being played by the pool.I have stayed at a number of hotels at Diani, Nyali, Watamu and Malindi. This one was disappointing.

Not a lot of variety on food and as per previous reviews full of fat. Got a bit of an upset stomach for the night when we had the fried fish at the snack bar. Restaurant staff were friendly and polite but other staff like their grounds keepers were little undisciplined kids who starred at us inside our rooms while they were doing their work in the garden outside. Creepy.

The outdoor facilities are wonderful, relaxing and perfect for a holiday with one exception; the beautiful beach is not comfortable with the relentless Hawkers "Beach Boys" incessantly following you trying to sell exactly the same things. They ruin the beach and made it off limits. You can hardly ever take a quiet walk along the beach. The staff Entertainment Crew - Animation - are friendly, personable and make the facility lively day night with activities from, Swahili lessons, pool exercise, stretching, Football on beach, Volleyball, etc and nighttime shows and production and games. All Inclusive resort offers quality food at fair price, however optional activities (water sports, spa etc) are hawked by 'on commission' staff daily. "Pay for" items include everything else - one must pay for water in rooms and phone calls etc. This is definitely a 4 Star Resort for its facilities but the Decor and cleanliness is below par and dated. I would definitely come back but i might check out other hotels and resorts in the area. I design and build resorts in the Middle East and South East Asia; and visit Hotels around the world: These 3 Hotels; Neptune Palms, Neptune Village and Neptune Paradise (closed for repairs) are owned by one man, they need to be improved to maintain 4 star rating. The Staff and mid level staff are amazing, the mangers need people skills, especially in front of guests.
