This lavish Victorian Villa now boasts two contemporary wings and offers high quality self-catering apartments in the heart of the English Riviera. There is so much we could write about it, but why not come and see for yourself!

Astor House Self-Catering Apartments offers contemporary comfort and sumptuous style with breath-taking uninterrupted panoramic sea views from our south-facing cliff-top location from most apartments. We recently stayed for 2 nights. The weather was absolutely superb & enhanced what was a beautiful location & villa. The view from the balcony in apartment #1 was stunning. The villas aligning the bay reminded me a lot of Monaco - very stylish, but with space at such a premium, optimum use was essential. We were allocated car parking slot #1, which was off--road, directly outside the main entrance and frankly essential to remove any stress / hassle of trying to find a space on arrival @ ~11pm. I had a couple of email exchanges with the proprietor Steve before making the journey. His instructions were precise, timely & gave me everything we needed. All in all, this was a great short break. The surrounding town typified an English seaside location but the seafront was very nice with lots of memorable views and places to re-hydrate / fuel up for long walks. The only minor negative point of the whole experience was that access to / from the villa gardens to sea level / beach front was blocked as there was on-going renovation, but this had nothing to do with the owners of the villa I hasten to add!

Great View
Great View
Great place with a spectacular view! Situated above several bars and restaurants which a certain amount of fitness is required to walk down to. Ok for us but probarbly not suitable for people with mobility problems. Saying that, we never had a problem acquiring a cab to get down the hill or back up after several libations (between £3.90 - £5.00). Loved Torquay. Recommend Ferry trip to Brixham.

Good view. Need to be fit!
Good view. Need to be fit!
Lovely view and tidy apartment. Decor is required to some doors and walls though. No mention it was on the top floor and after climbing 157 steps from the restaurants below a further four flights of stairs is a killer! But good for keeping fit. To get on the balcony you have to climb through a window!! Great location though near good restaurants and the centre of Torquay. Just needs a lift!!!
