Perfect price-quality ratio

Easy access and the free on-site parking is great. There was some minor construction/remodeling going on during our stay, but it did not interfere with sleep or relaxation. Nice common area and kitchen. Would certainly recommend to anyone staying in Reykjavik.

Disgusting, not worth a quarter of a star

Nice little room downtown Reykjavik. Not much to it, no tv etc. but comfy bed and nice shower. Keep in mind there is no elevator (at least that I saw) so taking luggage up and down can be a pain.

Check is was easy as the instructions were sent days before our check in. Renovations were happening in the common areas and were all beautiful and modern. Hallways outside of the rooms had not been touched so they were a little dark. Only issue was one travel mate got stuck in the common are bathroom as the door handle was not installed yet. Overall great stay near main shopping area in Reykjavik. We got lucky and found parking right out front!

First off; the water is DISGUSTING! It smelled SO BAD, like actual sewer water. The entire place had this nasty water, I couldn’t even use the shower because of how bad the stench was. About the room, I always make a joke about how I just need a bed in a room to be content. Well, that’s exactly what this was. Two beds in a room. No TV, no radio, nothing. Bare bones. When I arrived, the key was supposed to be left in the room. The wrong key was left and I couldn’t lock my door. I tried getting in touch with hotel staff through Expedia, email, and their Facebook Messenger account but never got any reply. I had to wait until the next morning until housekeeping staff arrived to get the right key. During my stay, there was a lot of renovation that was going on until after 9pm, it was rough trying to sleep for an early morning tour when there’s constant banging and power tools being used. Not a great experience whatsoever. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again, there’s no way I could recommend this place in its condition.

Very clean, easy walk to downtown food and shops. Next to coffee roasters. Bus drop off for tours across street or a short walk away.

Property is centrally located and very lively when you come out. Checkin was easy self service and the apartment, toilets were very clean

Walls were paper thin with no noise abatement at all. Could hear general conversation from many rooms.

I don’t blame Pavi I blame Expedia - I never got the code for the door
I had to called them hence $$$
They were suppose to send me an email and I never got it and it’s because Expedia never share my info with them

The room was comfortable but there was alot of street noise outside during the night. There was construction ongoing and although clean, it seemed overall a bit dated. My biggest complaint was that I was not sent a door code until 5 days prior to my stay and we were on the road before then. My friend had smart phone and I was able to get into my email and get the code, but otherwise I would not have been able to get in the door or know my roon number. Could have been a diaster.

Very spartan and simple accomodations. Very clean new linens. Very budget friendly. The kitchen for cooking your own food was great.
Location also great.

The shared washrooms where a little small but nice and there wasn’t a lot of dining room for the kitchen but it’s right downtown and the room was nice and cute!

Visited for 2 nights and it was exactly what we needed. Property management were super nice when I didn’t receive my check in information, and responded via phone very quickly!

Very nice property. We were able to cool our meals in a full kitchen that included pots, pans, cutlery, and dishes. The shared bathroom is just like a campers village thing. You get your own stall to do what you need to. Definitely coming back the next time I visit.

Great place for the price. Construction out front which limited parking.

This is budget hotel - but the location is amazing (close to everything!) and the rooms are clean and spacious.

Very nice and clean and close to various restaurants. The area is super walkable too. The only reason why I'm giving it 4/5 stars is because of nearby construction... they start their work before 8am and it's insanely loud.

It was a nice cozy place, small rooms but comfortable beds. We stayed in a two beds room, it was quiet, and close to the tourist area and restaurants.

Small apartment, but clean and comfortable beds.

The price was affordable. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The small hotel is tucked away on a small street and we had a bit of a hard time finding it. The place is self-service so no front desk or anyone to ask questions. No elevator, so we hauled five pieces of luggage up three sets of steps. Other than that, it worked out well.

Although I could see there were improving the neighborhood, it made me cautious and a little nervous. It all worked fine, but no my preferred type of environment.

Check in was very easy and received great communication from this property. This was one of the cheaper options we found and we knew it was likely to be fairly basic.
The room was very simple - two single beds, two bedside lockers and one sink with mirror. The blackout curtains were nice. I think a headboard would make the bed a bit more comfortable. Even a small tv in the room would've made a massive difference to our comfort. With that being said you're getting what you pay for and it was fine. I would probably stay here again for that price.

Great property that is well managed, kept clean and secure. Area around has some active construction and noise, but not the fault of the property owner.

The property advised really nice restaurants nearby, like the Hlemmur Mathöll where we went twice (awesome beef and chicken burgers!). The area is good and convenient, close to the city center and with a lot of useful shops around. Beds are comfortable, everything is clean and staff is helpful. Kitchen available, but small. If you have to share it, it will not be easy and enjoyable to use. Some showers are not convenient at all (on the second floor), too small and with burning water. One shower door didn't close in the third floor. Overall, it's a good choice, not too expensive for Reykjavík.

Not at all like photos. We had the private room with private bathroom. It is definately a hostel in need of upgrade, not similar to a hotel. Towels were tattered & ancient, stiff. Linens felt unclean. Hair on sheets. People sat on steps outside our room & were loud. We left after one night, by 9am, because we were so uncomfortable staying there & they refused to refund us for the next entire day. We briefly met the guy working there when he knocked on our door to introduce himself & he seemed very kind. We didnt complain, theres nothing one man could do to fix any if it. We just immediately started looking for other accommodations ASAP.

Highly recommend and close location to main street!

Contactless type hotel. They never responded to my emails.

This was perfect, exactly as expected, easy access, no desk, but instructions were concise and accurate, there was a gentleman there working on the building that gave us good info on where to park, easy walk to area with restaurants and small food marts, the room was basic but clean and secure

It was a good guesthouse for a solo trip for a weekend.
Good service, and friendly staff.

Good value for the price.

The staff are very friendly and create an awesome atmosphere for travellers. We didn’t get towels or the key when we checked in, but other than those hiccups we had a pleasant stay. If we visit Reykjavík again, we will definitely be back. They have a kitchen for everyone to use which was nice. The water isn’t the best in the room, but we found that filling our bottles in the kitchen was the move.

Simple rooms at a very affordable rate. Shared bathrooms are very clean.
