First time to New Zealand, close proximity to airport. Not easy to find as addressed as Papatoetoe, however after ringing property was advised it was Manakau. Need to correct this information on booking info, otherwise all good.

The windows had no fly screens so we had to deal with flys coming through open windows. Cobwebs on the kitchen curtains. No fan in the bathroom or toilet so open windows were essential. Not an area I would choose to stay even though I didn’t feel unsafe. The building was old and needed refreshing, draft proofing and definitely fly screens and fans. The host was pleasant and helpful and made every effort to be helpful. The main supermarket was a good kilometre walk away and decent cafe and dining options were very limited. On a four lane highway!

We found it comfortable, clean, and the room had an excellent shower. The surrounds (gardens and planting) took you away from the busy streets and outside noise.

I felt the hosts didn't welcome their guests and my first impression was this man yelling at me with an angry face saying "Close the door I have cats" I didn't hear him properly because I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids. That was my welcome to this Motel and I was extremely polite. His mannerisms were inexcusable. Also I felt for the price I paid for one the night that the shower was hard to use and the toilet was dirty when I entered the unit with toilet paper still in the toilet and brown stains. I wished the stay could of be pleasant as I was attending a family reunion and I felt upset at this behaviour towards me. I did bring it up upon checkup as I felt this establishment does not give respect to the people staying here.

The bed was very comfortable, and thebroom wasnspacious. The only issue wenhad, and it was very minor, is that the hair dryer didn’t work. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay

The room was good and spacious, with an excellent modern bathroom. I also liked having a door between the kitchen and bedroom/lounge area. It made it a little more private.
Just some suggestions:
- a luggage rack would be helpful.
- the portable plug in elements were rusty so not usable. They really do need to replace it.
- a hook or rail to hang the tea towel on would be good. However, not many apartments/motels have these.
Overall, I had a really great stay.

Very dirty ,microwave was rusty and dirty, daily house keeping was not done properly

Good accommodation for a short term stay. Clean. Ask for a room at the back because it’s a busy, noisy road. They do not support contactless payment.

We started our trip a lot later than planned, only stopping once for petrol and toilet break, yet still weren't going to get to motel before the office closed. After contacting the owner, he agreed to wait for us to arrive with no additional charge.
for the late check-in.
Btw, the office hours shown on line are incorrect. It closes at 9 PM not 9 AM 🤔.
The beds were among the most comfortable we have slept in.

The parting spaces were a bit too tight. We had a small can but with lots of large Utes and not everyone could park properly.

Rooms very clean and tidy. Towels and rubbish changed every day. Staff goes the extra mile to help out.

When went to check in note on door saying back in 30 minutes but not when from. No toaster in room. Couldn’t work microwave. Paint flaking. In need of modernisation from the 80’s . Shower over corner spa bath so harder to access for older people. Bed comfortable. Sky channel selection good.

Stay was somewhat okay.
Pros. Beds were clean. Room was somewhat clean. Outdoor area was nice.
Cons. Dirty towels and hair all over floor. Specifically booked the bath room - room had no bath. Complained to reception about above guests stomping upstairs after hours (continued stomping the entire time).
Dirty cooking utensils.
Stained seating in room. Very hard beds. Old amd unkept.
No warning of fire alarm testing. That would have been nice to know at check in. Our ears rang for the entire day.
Overall stay could have been better. With a few adjustments here and there, this place would be lovley.

I left a water bottle and an expensive angora wrap, which I’d bought in Niagara Falls, behind and didn’t discover it until I returned home two days later. Rung the motel and was told that they hadn’t been handed in. I checked everywhere else that I’d been with no luck so I can only conclude that the cleaners at the motel are not very honest about that sort of stuff. I’ve left stuff behind before and was always able to arrange its return so I’m really disappointed with the service.

It had fleas in the room and the manager denied it was a flea. Air condition in the room wouldn’t even turn on. Room was in a very noisy location.
