This hotel was very disappointing. Our room looked nothing like any of the photos online, it was run down, the towels had dirty brown marks on them, the tiles round the bath were gritty and moldy, the room smelt musty, the bed sheets were stained, the water pressure for the shower was non existent. The breakfast was very limited in options. And we had to pay a £200 deposit on top of our room rate during check in which was not mentioned anywhere during booking the accommodation. The room was not worth the price paid, in fact I would say it was worth half what we paid! Very disappointed and we will not be returning, we are also still awaiting our £200 deposit refund even though the receptionist said it would be instant!

Super friendly check in by the receptionist. Thank you for the warm welcome and helpful info. Room was as described but quite warm even with the window open. And room 201 is above the bins so you might hear them being filled until 1130pm on a Saturday night of the window is open.

Nice hotel for a couple of night in Ards. Free parking on site. Check in was easy enough. Short wait until my room was ready. Good size room, very clean. Wi-Fi was free and a useful speed. Breakfast and dinner in the onsite restaurant were good. Easy checkout.

This is not a bad hotel. Its been refurbished and you can tell money has been spent here. Room was nice, comfy, good WiFi but lacked some things like ironing and had pretty basic toiletries and small towels. Food in restaurant nice, service warm and welcoming. Downside for me was my room which faced a wall and was dark and dingy.

Overall good stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Great selection at bar and ample parking space. Comfortable bedding. Rooms and bathrooms could do with some makeover, cleaning and maintenence (patches on walls, spiders and cobwebs)

Great hotel - food in the bar exceptionally good. Very friendly, efficient reception staff. A great place to explore the surrounding area - loads of places to visit like Castle Ward, Mount Stewart all of the Ards Peninsula - and of course, Newtownards itself is a great shopping town.

Very convenient for the town centre and travelling around the costal towns. There is also a shopping Mall next to it which is good for rainy days. Also a cinema. The hotel has a good restaurant to have your meals at night and good on site parking. This is the second year we have stayed there.

Loved this property staff were amazing and welcoming. Food in the lounge was awesome. Only draw back was I had a full flight of stairs up to my room and my suitcase was large and heavy just wasn’t expecting that. Overall thou a great place to stay with amazing staff and would definitely return.

Convenient location for Belfast waterfront only 20 mins with a car. Hotel is a modern town variety with practical sized rooms. Hotel was clean and towels fresh. Service staff were fantastic and accommodating for any extra stuff like soap, loo roll etc. Checklist system of ordering breakfast in evening is unusual but worked well leading to less waste from more buffet style offerings and checklist for extra towels and room items is also a good eco way of less waste. Enjoyed our stay as room and hotel was quiet and comfortable during our stay. One or two items maybe would also help, firstly car park debris on ground such as plastic bottles, a nappy! And other rubbish being cleared on a regular basis would help overall look as hotel is great and this area lets it down. Bath screen seal on our shower didn’t work so water ended up on floor and tv isn’t the largest (a minor quibble as didnt spend much time in hotel). Anyway an honest opinion on a nice stay for a few days, staff at desk were very accommodating and there if needed for any help without imposing themselves upon you. Breakfast was actually quite good but a few more options such as tomatoes, beans, hash browns perhaps! Again minor quibble on an excellent value for money hotel stay.
