Room was very basic and tried, lots of stairs , which was not said in advertising , very limited dining , only 2 starters and 5 main meals to choose from .

Electronic key did not work every day

Stayed in room 11. Riddled with bugs!!
Bitten all over. I nearly lost a finger with the swelling. Had to get ring cutoff.
Hotel not bothered to even contact me. They really don't care.
I will never stay there again!
You have been warned!!

We where over the road at their 'other building' which is not staffed and given a front door key. The toilet was blocked, window latches broken and handles on side and bin in bathroom left full. I complained and the staff member was lovely and changed our room. The new room was cleaner but a double mattress on a kingsize bed frame and the room was dusty and had light fittings missing. Not a pleasant stay and would not return. Only saving grace was the staff.

We used this hotel as a basis for our attendance at a wedding nearby. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I was slightly disappointed by the wonky window in the bathroom, which required brute strength to close.
for a 3-star hotel, it was basic but still a good place to lay our heads and the staff was very friendly and helpful

Nice and efficient

Shower didn’t work in the room, mould on bathroom ceiling and in shower, bed mattress cheap, thin and uncomfortable. Convenient location for where I needed to be but next time I’d stay in the travelodge.
£6 a pint in the hotel bar was a good price though

Friendly staff. The property is becoming a little tired from the one I used 15 years ago, but still adequate.

Well first when I arrived the key woudnt work to open the room then I was taken to another room but it hadent been cleaned booked a double room but ended up having a twin not good enough really but overall not a bad stay

The property is undergoing a refurbishment and was evident with some works going on. Whilst facilities are 'tired' it all worked and will only get better.
Staff are friendly and helpful and worked hard to ensure everything you needed was done efficiently.
Compared to other properties in this price bracket, it had that personal touch and friendliness that made up for hotel needing a refresh, would stay again, especially after refurbishment completed.
No EV charger here or nearby, useful but not vital.

Overall my only issue is the lack of Lifts and a air conditioner but this is England full stop would love to come again or recommend to friends
1.5
Poor quality tired pub/hotel in need of refurbishment. Dingy room with view of airshaft & permanent running water feature (overflow constantly running down room window). Dining room not ready for breakfast service, could not help ourselvs to tea/coffee, cereals or fruit juice as non set out. 1 member of staff trying to do everything with not much sucess. Bathroom door broken & unable to close, toilet seat broken/insecure & exit from (fir exit route) room blocked by "put you up bed" left on corridor. Not worth the money.

Only stayed for one night as we were only in the city for 1 night but room was clean, all amenities worked & did the job for crashing there for 1 night. Nice bar area too which is always a bonus when you like a drink.
1.0
Staff were difficult to find and not helpful. Sat for 15 minutes in bar area with no service and finally left. Carpets and floors were absolutely filthy. The outside sitting area was full of cigarette butts and trash. Incredibly overpriced for what it was.

Well situated for town centre with good bus links from outside to Tonbridge and town centre. Basic hotel a little dated but good size rooms, large car park and very good wifi.

Checked out without unpacking. Room was dirty and bathroom had black mold, extractor fan didn’t work and toilet seat was broken

Staff not readily available, Rooms weren't clean with stains on the throws and sheet in one of the rooms, very dated all round, cheap towels that although were clean were washed out, we didnt feel safe in the rooms, even the 2 taxi drivers we used to get out of the hotel to eat questioned why we were staying there as not a great reputation, would certainly never use again or recommend, we do have business in the area so will look at alternatives for next visits
1.5
We just stayed for one night because we were visiting Kent the next day...it was ok...very dated but clean. I have poor mobility and there is no lift in this hotel.
1.5
Work in progress - staff friendly and helpful - you can tell they are trying to improve things but still a way to go - walls paper thin - you can hear everything next door , above or below so take your ear plugs

Friendly hotel, good parking, facilities very dated and tired.
Broken light in bathroom.

There was no choice of breakfast. Full English or nothing. No choice for my wife who is vegetarian. We had to find somewhere else to get a breakfast in the morning.
The room was okay but it really could do with a facelift. There was a lot of noise during the night from other guests in the rooms nearby which kept us awake. There was a smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor in the morning when we came out.

Needs a complete update, first impressions put me off staying, longer than 1 night! very stale old smell in the bar and dining area on arrival, double bed not big enough for 2 people. Over priced room and not appealing on the eye. The hotel seemed similar to a hostel type accommodation that looks over used and tired, and i would say it is more closer to a 2 star. This hotel could be a very nice place if it was given a bit of TLC. If you want a basic room and bed for the night and are not fussy, then this would be suited for you, but definately wasnt for me. Breakfast was okay.
Dave the night staff was very approachable, accommodating and friendly.

The hotel is ready for a face lift . The bed was rock hard . Shower was inadequate.
1.5
Room poor quality needs updating , curtain rail hanging off , can’t not notice so ignored by housekeeping , room above has noisiest squeaky floorboards going . Wouldn’t revisit
1.5
Everything was ok.
The room was nice.
The hot water stopped working around 10pm in the evening. It wasn't working in the morning so no shower and had to boil the kettle and use the sink for washing. I made this known to the reception in the morning and the reply I received was 'sorry about that' - and that was it, no offer of compensation or recompense. Unsatisfactory so won't be using again.

We had a lonely stay yes does need updating but thats a working progress. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very nice. Would definitely stay again

I was kept up all night by people partying in the halls and having loud drunk sex till 12:30am. Felt unsafe to leave the hotel room to talk to staff, tried calling the desk 3 times but there was no pick up. Horrid experience.

Very noisy party music . Rooms not soundproofed . Woken up by very loud neighbours having very loud sex - bathroom door doesn’t shut - no heating
1.0
Bathroom dirty and water in shower not draining.

I definitely booked a room with a bath, which we were given after reminding at reception, there is no lift , so reception took our suitcases up for us,several flights of stairs and landings. They booked a taxi for us for next morning. Although the menu was limited my request for blue cheese sauce instead of peppercorn was forthcoming and the food was tasty. We were offered drinks on the house for our long wait. The whole area is being refurbished.Staff are helpful.Bed comfortable. The room we were in needs updating, broken bathroom door and toilet /toilet brush had not been checked before we went into the room. Not too noisy with doors like some hotels.
5.0
The staff were very friendly and helpful in response to inquiries, although the room was small and not well-lit.
1.0
On arrival there was no one at the reception and waited more than 10m for someone to come to us, the location does not have a lift, the room looked old, tv super small, and yhe worse part of our stay was that the RADIATOR was not working despite us calling them to tell this issue they did not fix it, the room was so cold and the customer service poor.
It more an hostal than an hotel, we were coming late and as we did not have a key to enter the building we have to wait on the cold long for someone to let is in.
Honestly the most horrible experience wont recommend this place to anyone, please go to a hotel an avoid this place at all cost
1.5
Overall the hotel was pretty average. I stayed in a single room for one night. The noise coming from the neighboring rooms was very audible, but, luckily, it did not extend to late hours. Bathroom door would get jammed mid way, so it was tricky to get that room closed.

Very clean and safe
1.0
Very dated property that has not had a penny spent on it for 20 years ..Room was dirty bathroom mouldy and run down shower was blocked and bed was on its last legs as rocked when lying on it ...Do not stay here unless its £25 per night as thats all its worth
4.0
The cooked breakfast was only adequate and significantly overpriced for £12. A £12 breakfast should include mushrooms, black pudding or a salmon option.

Very good value .Reception always open during normal hours .We enjoyed our stay
