Great stay in historic building. There is no elevator for 2nd floor, which was fine by us.
Setting is superb, many beautiful homes within a short drive. The fort is a block away.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had a wonderful stay. The front desk person was very thoughtful and considerate. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

During Hurricane Helene, I booked a last minute hotel to evacuate my area. The prices had skyrocketed, but safety was priority. However, weather conditions began to deteriorate earlier than expected while on the road shortly (~2hr) after booking. They called to let me know that the front desk would be closing shortly and I understood. However, I immediately sent a message once I knew that it would be best and safer for us to find lodging where we were located instead; which was a few mins passed the front desk closing time, but shortly after the call. They called the next morning stating that though they saw my message, they still marked me as a no show and I couldn’t cancel my reservation nor reduce it for even a partial refund. I asked if there was a possibility to shift the dates instead of losing $500+ and I was told that if I did, I would need to decide new dates that same day. I explained again that I was trying to coordinate other matters related to the storm and it would be difficult to essentially plan a potential future vacation today. The answer remained the same. I contacted Hotels.com and they contacted the inn to advocate on my behalf, but as the hotel has full discretion regarding cancellations and refunds, they could not provide any further assistance. As I understand that they have a business to operate, the lack of empathy and understanding was disappointing. While I hoped to book again under better circumstances, that $500+ loss changed my mind.

The property was quiet and quaint. The amenities give a French Quarter vibe. The only thing I would change would be the size of the television. Other than that, everything was immaculate and I will be staying here when I visit Mobile again.

The Fort Conde Inn makes Mobile, AL a destination city. This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. A truly one of a kind experience. Gorgeous neighborhood, comfortable accommodations, great breakfast, incredible staff. Nothing more I can say. STAY HERE! It’s the best!

Our first night the room was beautiful but very noisy.
They moved us to different room our second night which was also beautiful but also very quiet.

It was a very updated historic hotel. The beds were amazing. The air conditioning was ice cold which was great since the area is extremely hot and humid. It was super clean and the shower, I think, was perfect in temperature and pressure!

It was a delightful stay! It had that old town southern charm! The staff was very friendly especially at the Bistro!

Great location close to downtown.

I love staying here. Everyone is so friendly, and the rooms are so tastefully decorated with a historic feel but with all the modern conveniences. We had a whole house to ourselves. Having a hot breakfast from the bistro included in the price made the value of the room even better.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I would say my two pieces of advice for future guests would be that "breakfast included" is a bit of an overstatement. There's a $3 charge per guest and if you accidentally order a cafe au lait instead of a coffee like I did, you'll be charged for a coffee off of the regular menu and pay $6. So our first morning we had a "complimentary" breakfast that cost $17. My second piece of advice would be to bring some earplugs. We were right next to the interstate, so we could hear honking all night. Also, because it's an old house, you can hear your neighbors come in and out and up and down the stairs. However, the staff was so sweet and the facilities were great.

Although we were only there for 1 night, passing thru, we loved the property, our room and the cafe. Next time we are in Mobile, we will definitely stay here!

We had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed our stay. Our only suggestions would be to check your listing on Expedia (which is where we booked our stay) as there was no "free welcome drink" or minibar. Certainly not deal breakers. Also since I walk with a cane, it would have been greatly appreciated if at check-in we were informed that there is an elevator to our floor. It wasn't until our 2nd day that some kind soul said "you know there is an elevator here, don't you?" All-in-all, fantastic and we will be back.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. It was so beautiful but very convenient to downtown. I was a little worried it might have a lot of traffic noise, but we heard none of it the room. My eight year old didn't want to leave and keeps asking to go back. Very pleasant stay and experience!

What a quaint little boutique hotel nestled into 100 year old homes with a gorgeous bistro to boot. Loved our room with all the secret doors and vintage decor. What a wonderful way to get away and lose yourself outside of Mobile

This was the second time the hubby and I stayed here. We love it and can't wait to stay here again.
2.5
Beautiful place. Needs more than one chair in room and small table and lamp beside one chair. Was somewhat spartan for an executive luxury room
2.5
Fort Conde is a really charming and quiet hotel which was perfect for a short stay in Mobile. The room was a good size, everything was clean and worked, and the bathroom was large and the shower worked well. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m next in Mobile.

Very nice old house with beautiful details. This place not suitable for people with moving disabilities because of steep stairs.
Our room was located closest to the motorway so the noise of heavy traffic kept us awake at night. If you want a good night sleep ask fir a room somewhere futher away from that road.
Walking distance to the city.
Note that breakfast in the bistro is not totally free.

What an AMAZING start to our Florida vacation! Mobile was our initial 1st night stop from North Texas and we looked at chain hotels and then we found Fort Conde! So glad we made this decision! People were fantastic and the food at the Bistro was delicious! Everything was clean and very comfortable. My only complaint was I heard the highway, but it wasn’t bad, just wished I couldn’t hear it.

Quaint and pleasant atmosphere. Friendly staff.

We like it feels like an old house.
Beautiful and the room was amazing. The massage tub was relaxing. The bed was perfect.
2.5
This is like a bed and breakfast but also like a hotel. The balcony is just gorgeous. We had dinner at this little restaurant across the street that was a bit pricey but nice.
4.0
The room did not match the pics. I even decided to upgrade for a larger room and I got the back of the building, it was stark, not cozy. Getting a tub instead of a shower did it for me.
5.0
The property was easy to locate and walking distance from downtown. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good with a minimal charge. The staff was professional, but only slightly friendly. Freight trains pass not far, but that doesn't diminish the experience.
2.5
Lovely stay in a great historic building; good staff. I only wished there were more choices for breakfast--fruit? granola? pastry?--but a minor complaint in a lovely stay. Nice location near downtown Mobile and the Battleship Causeway.
