Nice for a 2 night stay, it had everything we needed and the included breakfast was nice. Our room had a broken window and the toilet room smelled odd. Other than that it was a great price for the property.

Breakfast good. Room was okay. Staff was amazing. Not much parking and had to pay for towels, strip our own beds

The location with free parking was excellent. We used the bus stop across the street to ride into the heart of the city amd back. The ride was enjoyable and we took in the architecture and sites. Downtown we shopped, and had a drink and baked goods and enjoyed more incredible views. We had a room with private bath and shower and two bunk beds for the four of us. The breakfast was good with many selections of beverage, fruits, cheeses, meats and breads. You will make your own bed and towels are rented for a couple dollars per person. The drive to Schipol airport was not bad at all, however we allowed ample time and drove off peak.

Our first hostel experience was positive, but a bunk bed isn't for me anymore. I could see this as a good route for families and younger singles, though.

The StayOkay was as the name suggests okay. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Breakfast was delicious! And, the bike service was convenient. We were really disappointed with the temperature in our room. It was very HOT and humid!! They were not able to give us a fan. The hostel is located north of the city, which is a bus ride away...a little farther than was convenient.

We very much enjoyed the neighboring parks and restaurants. The attendants were very friendly and helpful. The beds were difficult to climb in and out of and other occupants became quite loud early in the morning and at intervals during the night.

I rarely rate my stays anywhere but I was surprised at the convenience of this hostel. The rooms were quite fresh and welcoming, and new linen was provided.
I'm not a great fan of continental breakfasts but a good choice was provided and for the room price it was more than adequate.
Some smart employee even themed documentation on the front desk to accommodate like-minded residents (As there were a lot of us attending a local convention).
Great job, would stay again!

Considering we booked the hostel just 4 days before NYE, for the amount we paid to stay at stayokay over New Years weekend we were pleasantly suprised. We were expecting it to be terrible but it was not bad at all. The room was clean, basic but had everything we needed. The shower was good and powerful. We had a private room for 4 with bunk beds and a private bathroom, bunk beds weren’t ideal but with close friends we were comfortable in the room. Only negatives were that the wasn’t a full length mirror and it was quite expensive to get a taxi back to after a night out. On public transport during the day it easy to get to and from Amsterdam (about 40mins).

Stayok is close to a bus stop with a frequent and speedy bus service to Haarlem Centraal and Centrum. Area is peaceful and backs on to woodland.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.

Quite small room with low ceiling. Breakfast was okay (it was included in the price). After 23:00 and before 08:00ish reception closed. Towels not included. The hostel private parking place can hardly hold 10 cars. Although you can park in the public places outside. Very very noisy during my stay, probably because the hostel rented the premise for a wedding and all the wedding guests probably stayed in the hostel rooms. I chose this hostel in Haarlem so that I could have a nice calm place to spend the evening. But unfortunately it was the complete opposite with noisy and shouting people around. The staffs were helpful.

This is a basic European hostel and if you have the right expectaction you will have a good experience. The breakfast is included. Its a buffet with several different kinds of bread, boiled eggs, some veggies, cereals, ham and cheese. Parking is free although its limited and you might need to park on street. The room is bare bones basic but clean. They charge for towels and you have to make your own bedding. Overall, its a good place for a family to stay.

I stayed in one of the larger dorms during August. Unlike many hostels I've stayed in the other visitors were generally older then me. There were several families with small children and people on cycling holidays. The general atmosphere of the hostel is very relaxed. The food in the complimentary breakfast was excellent compared to food I've had at other hostels. The location is attractive, on top of a river. The hostel is a 15-20 minute walk away from Santpoort-Zuid railway station, and from there it's 20 minute train ride to Amsterdam Central. It is a long walk into the centre of Haarlem, but it is possible to rent bicycles from the hostel and (unsurprisingly for Holland) the area is extremely bike-friendly . I rented a bike and cycled to the coastal resort of Zandvoort, through the nature reserve which lies between Haarlem and the sea.Overall my experience was very positive. I found it to be a good balance between visiting Amsterdam and the surrounding area. I would not recommend it for people solely interested in visiting Amsterdam however.Bring a towel as these are not included (though they can be purchased from the hostel)

A first time in a Hostel type Hotel and it was very pleasant, bunk beds and an on-suit for the 2 of us. Friendly staff, good breakfast....only one grizzle was paying for a towel, but maybe this is normal in a hostel. I gave top marks...

Good value for money. Healthy varied breakfast included. Excellent location next to nature reserve, which is great for biking o the beach with kids. We drove to Amsterdam and parked at the Station Park and Ride. This costs only 8 Euro and includes public transport.

Just loved this hostel, so handy to get to as the bus no2 from Haarlem stopped just outside the door. €2 a single journey. Only disappointment was that it was not near the sea as stated but 8 km from the sea...a rather long walk!!! Stayed with my adult son and found it very convenient and a fantastic place to stay...great value for money.
