Check-in was fine, except she didn't even tell us the pool and hot tub were both broken! Paid premium price for sub par amenities! Breakfast was minimal, and weird egg omelettes were terrible taste.
Our room was a little dirty. Wrappers under the bed, (checking for my own things left behind) 1 bed made very sloppy and not folded the same as other bed, Looked like someone sat on it. Drawers were open, and opened by themselves constantly. Mold all over the bathroom ceiling. So gross! We stay Laquinta every weekend all over ND, & Dickenson is the worst one!

Nice hotel. Friendly staff.

Very clean room. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The room was clean. Receptionists have no clue how to use the system and are not trying to help the guests.

Our greeting at the desk upon arrival was cold and unfriendly. One word answers with no eye contact indicating disinterest. When checking out a different desk person was also not customer friendly. She was rude and condescending. She stated that my last name was a foo foo, sissified name. Obviously, I didn't pick my name. I was born into it. It is a common Dutch name. If that was an attempt at being funny, it missed the mark.

We have stayed here several times in the past. As always, the staff were very friendly and professional. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Now for the bad news. We were told that the management changed since we were last there. They used to have 'customer appreciation night' on Wednesdays where they would serve pizza to their guests. I, for one, appreciated the appreciation shown by this simple and inexpensive act. However under the new management, this is no longer done.
We always had a good breakfast here, but that has changed as well. There were very few items that a diabetic individual could eat. There were no eggs, except pre-packaged hard boiled ones. The only breakfast meat was sausage in a thick clumpy sausage gravy served with biscuits. There was no fruit of any kind. Just a bunch of sugar and carb laden pastries among the self-made waffles.
While the staff and room were superb, these two seemingly easy things to manage are enough to make me stay elsewhere in my future travels.

They were doing a bunch of work on the outside of the building and the front entrance was taped off … you had to enter from the far entrance snd it really cut down on parking … would have been nice to have that on the web site ! They started working on it again at 7:30 in the morning .

When booking a stay it would be helpful to know if a site is "under construction". We found that parking and access to the front desk is affected. Fortunately our stay was fine, however for those with limited mobility, I think it's unfair to not have that information.

Breakfast was disappointing. No scrambled eggs and sausage. Bagels with NO cream cheese or anything else to put on them. Bisquits with very lumpy gravy. No fruit.

Room smelled like someone sprayed several cans of Febreeze to try and cover horrific smoke smell.... it was beyond intolerable, but they didn't have another room available.
Also disappointed with breakfast.... no eggs, no meats, no fruit, no juice.... it was truly pathetic.

Internet did not work, hot tub was broken, bathrooms were unclean, and housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:00am.

I was never able to get internet on my laptop. I recommend you just provide a laptop instead of the "go to our website" method used at the Dickinson, ND LaQuinta.

The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was very good, the staff was very friendly, but the building was not well taken care of. I did see they were under construction though.

No signage. Confusing

They were making changes to the main entrance so was very congested in the parking lot.
Motel shows its age needs some painting redone in the rooms along with a good cleaning of the shower surround.
WAs a very quite room for facing the interstate.

It felt a little unsafe in the area. Not horrible, but we were not as comfortable regarding safety as other hotels.

Booked & paid for a King bed, arrived at the hotel to find that only Queen Accessible Rooms were available. Hotel said it was Travelocity, they said it was hotel --- consumer gets the raw deal as usual. Room floor made our feet dirty after showering, A/C didn't work right, morning front desk girl couldn't care less about any of it. On a bright note, the salsa for the eggs at breakfast was delicious!

Location was convenient to all travel interests. The main entry was closed because of remodeling. The alternate entrance was and still convenient for all guests. Kudos to the good planning by staff.

Would not have pre-booked if would have known that renovations were in progress. Parking area left a lot to be desired. WiFi was worse than the old dial up modems. For the rate being charged, I was very disappointed. After having said the aforementioned, I will admit the room was very clean & neat. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good.

I could hear people in the hallway talking a good portion of the night and i could hear the person next door snoring most of the night and and the people up one floor waking around in the very early am. The front entrance was under construction so we had to use a side door to come and go with no was watching what was going on there. did not get much sleep last night make for a long day on the road.

Inconvenient entrance due to construction.
The Internet was terrible!
A drawer in media station would not stay closed!

The website did not say they were under construction and very little signage on how to enter the facility.
TV doesn’t work. We asked for help and no one showed up.
The bathroom was very dirty with moldy corners. The room smelled like smoke and this is listed as a no smoking facility.

No signage on building; very hard to find an entrance due to construction. Bathtub grout absolutely disgusting. Looks like black mold in some areas. TV remote did not work, could only watch 1 channel. Room AC unit makes clunking and water noises all night. Never again LaQuinta.

This La Quinta in Dickinson is always renovating. The entrance of the hotel was taped and so we have to go to the other side of the hotel to be able to enter.

Floors and shower stall weren’t clean. No toiletries in bathroom. Noisy ice machine. Hallway carpets need cleaning.

Hotel was mainly area workers home base. Hot tub was only warm, breakfast was limited choices, laundry facilities only 1/2 working order, hotel needs updating.

Room and everything was great. Only problem was the check in was hard because they were reconstructing the front entrance so you had to enter with you luggage from the far side of the hotel.

Overall great experience. Rooms are clean and updated. The hotel is well maintained and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was your typical free breakfast but hot food were kept hot and were constantly being refilled.

We have used this hotel since 2018 and enjoyed it which included the restaurant across the street being a fantastic Mexican food place. Seems like it’s getting ran down and just not as nice as usual. Not bad but not like it used to be, we will be finding another hotel next time.
