Location and lobby were nice but rooms were tiny and not near as nice as the lobby.

Jeffery is a top professional management.
Shirley in F&B carlos Nay and Maria at front desk all seasoned professionals and make our stay wonderful.
With more great people like these in hospitality the hospitality industry would be top shelf.

Overall it was a great stay. The room was clean and we'll put together and the front desk concierge was extremely helpful and friendly. They definitely go above and beyond and accommodated all the requests we had.
The gym was clean and had everything needed to get a great workout in, with a great view of the city to zone out while getting some cardio in. I was staying for 3 nights and used the gym each morning and it was a great setup.
The only concern I had were no complimentary items for guests for breakfast as you had to pay for everything. And in true San Francisco fashion, it was overpriced for the quality of what you received. So we instead went out for breakfast but it wasn't s deal breaker. It was nice having the option though.
I would stay again for sure. Mainly for the great location and awesome staff!

Lovely weekend visit to San Francisco. The Hotel was clean and well cared for. We enjoyed the complimentary cocktails in the longe area before venturing out on the cable cars. Ideal location for cable car travels. We would stay here again.

Pleasant time in San Francisco. Property very conveneient and close to great areas for diving and shopping and walking/exploring.
Easy access and fitness center was great. Only negative is that the elevators are slow...

Nice hotel for the price. Very nice staff. Main concern was the elevator - a lot of waiting time.

Easy checkin, great views, best hotel of our trip which was spent driving over a thousand miles around California and staying at multiple hotels.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel in the past year and I would stay here again in a heart beat. The location is fantastic. You can literally step out of the hotel and onto a cable car. It’s also walking distance to Union Square, Chinatown.
The staff has been incredibly accommodating (I’m looking at you Ray) with my requests and have gone above and beyond in my opinion to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I travel a lot and can say with confidence that the service at the Stanford Court is rare.
I look forward to my next stay at the Stanford Court Hotel

I would highly recommend this hotel for the location, price and friendly staff. The lobby was nice and bar area was good, rooms a little bit outdated but spacious, the bed was comfortable and clean. It is pretty noisy (we were on the third floor facing the road/cable cars) but we are quite happy to put earplugs in. A great perk was that they had coffee and tea in the morning which you could help yourself to in a travel mug.
Anyone who visits San Francisco I would recommend this hotel, overall a really good stay

Service was great, room was clean. Good location. Bed was comfortable and overall would recommend. Cons: Rooms could use a bit more sound proofing and only 2/3 elevators were operational during our stay.

Best place to stay on Nob Hill. Beautiful and spacious room flooded with light and a great bar on the lobby floor!
6.0 / 10.0
I recently stayed at this hotel for three nights and while the room was excellent—clean, modern, and well-equipped with a fridge, tea, and coffee—the overall experience was disappointing due to the poor customer service. The hotel facilities were nice, including a gym, though I didn’t use it.However, from the moment we arrived, we encountered issues with the service. Upon parking in a suitable spot at the entrance to unload, the valet immediately demanded $75 per night for parking.
Despite informing him that we were staying for three nights, he rudely insisted on taking my car keys without explanation. This behaviour was both unprofessional and lacking in basic courtesy.Unfortunately, the front desk staff were no better.
They lacked the friendliness and attentiveness you would expect from a four-star hotel. It felt as though they were uninterested in providing a good experience for paying guests.
In summary, while the room itself was great, the poor service severely impacted our stay, leaving us disappointed at the end of our month-long trip in the States.

Walking distance from Chinatown and scenic spot of Calufornia and Powell. Near Railway Museum and Fisherman's Wharf

Great location. No room service was the only drawback

Good location but we are talking San Francisco so tons of hills. If you are walking be prepared for the hills. Cable car is right out front of hotel but you must be patient in waiting for them. The hotel itself is nice having a bar and restaurant was wonderful. Check in was easy, the large desk seems to distance the guests and Clerk. Elevators slow every single time. Remember it’s an old hotel with worn carpet and old bones but it has its charm. Staff were great!
View's wonderful!

This hotel is in a great location. It’s a short bus ride to Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, through Chinatown etc. Union Square is within walking distance - as is the Trader Joe’s past Grace Cathedral, so you can buy some snacks or beverages to enjoy during your stay.
Staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms on the exterior side of the hotel have some pretty great views!

Valet parking took long to get our vehicle. They could have warned us. Instead we stood there for 30 minutes

This is my 3rd time staying here. The front desk, bartenders and the valet are excellent!

I travel a lot and I can typically suss out a hotel by the photos, but this one was misleading. Our room was like a dungeon with a tiny window. It was a tiny room, the hotel was old and needed a lot of updating, including the room. I love staying in hotels and I was very disappointed in this one overall. The lobby smelled like musty cologne. I think this is classified as a 4 star hotel but I would definitely classify it as a 3.3 star hotel.

An absolutely fantastic hotel in the middle of San Francisco’s downtown area! We were near the top, with spectacular views of the city from our room overlooking the corner of California and Powell. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, and we were so close to Chinatown that we walked over for dim sum breakfast for three mornings during our stay. We would to stay at Stanford Court again!

We were allocated a very noisy and vibrating room due to the air conditioning units passing above
They were very good at relocating to another level without the constant sound
