Awesome hotel, fantastic location. Cooking facilities gives options, but heaps of dining choices close by. Great transport links. A lick of paint wouldnt hurt. Iverall highly recommend

Pretty good room but essentially no hotel lobby. The hotel is basic and functional and fine.

Fantastic location and excellent staff

Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room was clean though the couch looked a bit rough and carpet looked like it needed a deep clean.
Bathroom and shower were excellent. Kitchen was good.
TV was an big issue for me. It wouldn't connect to a channel until I had to switch the mains power off to the room and back on again to get it to connect (I did this as per concierge advice), sometimes I had to run through this process 2-3 times before I got a a channel. When I say A channel, that's what I meant, I only had a choice of one channel. On top of that, my friend is registered deaf, she can hear with special hearing aids but likes the text on when watching TV and even that didn't work, so that aspect dampened an otherwise good experience.

Clean, spacious room with great cleaning service daily. Friendly and helpful staff.

A good decent hotel, our room was big and cozy. The kitchen corner was really nice. The area is very lively with lots of restaurants and shops - maybe not the best if you're looking for peace and quiet.

Room was adequate. Wi fi non existent. Bathroom ordinary, no where to hang towels or place toiketries bag

Staff were nice and accommodating. No actual business centre. Good enough place to lay your head. This hotel has permanent residents - some of whom do not like tourists and are very vocal about that.

The studio apartment I stayed in was fantastic! Recently refurbished, super clean and I could even open a window! Reception were very helpful, I highly recommend.

Staff outstanding, comfortable and clean, but some noise from people walking around upstairs in level above

The property was in a good stop for what we were doing in Melbourne.
I was under the assumption that Mercure Hotels where one of the better named hotels. I must say that I was a little disappointed in how run down this hotel is and needs a lot of Maintenace.

I did not like that Mecure have still not returned the $100 security bond i had to pay. Its over 2 weeks. We left the room in at a high standard. They have not contacted me either, leaving it to me to still action.

I liked the location and how convenient it was for me to get to know the city and get to work. It was always quiet and peaceful. Great view from my window and great facilities in the room.

Easy location to find and was within walkable distance of the highlights of Melbourne.

Good price with location handy to Vic markets, city, Carlton and Fitzroy. The rooms were clean and had a small fridge and microwave which came in handy. It was a good stay for a hotel but don’t expect a foyer or fancy bar.

Property was in desperate need of maintenance- no facilities, tired and decrepit room

Seldom does the opportunity to say “the Ibis next door is better “ present. But it is. Very ordinary property, dreadful lobby, noisy plumbing, dingy shower. Very underwhelming.

I and my partner totally regretted that we booked here. Worst experience ever. We were confident in checking-in because it's Mercure. Howeve, when we got inside the hotel room, the tv was not functioning, the air conditioning iwas not responding and worst of all, we could hear footsteps fron the occupants of the upper floor. As a result, we were not able to sleep properly because we were awakened from the noise and footsteps from the upper floor. I went downstairs in the reception to cancel our booking for the rest of the days, but the receptionist advised that he won't be able to cancel since we're booked via Expedia. He told me to contact Expedia instead. He offered to transfer us to another room, but I refused since it'll just be the same as all their rooms have no proper soundproofing. To be fair with him, he also offered to fix the tv snd airconditioning, bui I refused since my mind was already made up to cancel the rest of the booking. So I called Expedia to cancel and they're willing to cancel provided that the property manager would agree. So Expedia contacted the property manager but the property manager declined to refund us for the cancellation. I and my partner decided to just leave the hotel the next day even though we won't be refunded for the rest of the days. We just wanted to book for another hotel so we could sleep properly over the weekend. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. One of the worst experiences.

Our room was a good place to rest your head for the night, but not somewhere enjoyable to spend for some down-time if wanting to relax in the hotel room. Possibly because these are the business suite rooms, so only have the bed, armchair and desk chair. Whilst the room appeared quite clean, we noticed our devices would be covered in dust in the mornings upon waking - unsure whether this is from the AC or generally a dusty room. My partner's asthma flared up quite badly from being in the room. Whilst we didn't have a bad experience at this hotel, we will be staying elsewhere when we next visit Melbourne (and likely closer to the CBD or South Melbourne, rather than more northern Melbourne/Chinatown as we were this time). Daily room service was lovely, and the girls at reception upon checkin were very friendly and helpful.

Very convenient and great staff.
Very noisy. i.e hear thumping footsteps from floor above everyday. Nosie very loud.

Great that it was located next to the Queen Victoria Market (great coffee and breakfast/brunch for under $20). Wouldn’t recommend getting the tram along Elizabeth street with luggage though, that route is cram packed any time of day or night.

Great location
2.5 / 5.0
Love the room itself, the bed is super comfy and the room is clean and there is kitchen, washroom with good space, hot water and pressure is awesome. Staff is nice also.
Location wise is almost perfect which is across QV market, and by free tram you can reach some nice restaurants as well. Only thing is there is no complimentary water and you need to boil for yourself. And you gotta bring your toothbrush and toothpaste. Sometime neighbor may cook and cause some smell. But still 100% highly recommend for me.

Location was great, next to Queen Victoria market, and tram stop in free zone in city center. Room was good and clean. Laundry facilities were great.

Great location and room. Only thing lacking was the wifi was extremely weak and the man on reception very unfriendly.
