The hotel can improve breakfast, carpet on the floor and by equipping their wonderful staff with potential answers to their guests. The hotel provides good security and has a great location.

A.THE GOOD
1.I stayed here in February and was very unsatisfied with overall service quality. But this time around, I was very impressed with how much the hotel has progressed with its overall service: checking is faster and the staff friendlier and better trained, they do a better job at ensuring that rooms have everything needed and they are more reactive when the customer asks something( e.g extra towel, a spoon etc...). Talking about reactivity when a customer needs something, i would like to particularly highlight the amazing job done by a lady there called Eileen Johnson. Eileen was so friendly and reactive to problems that i had to ask for her name so that i can share it here. I'm grateful Eileen and I hope the rest of the team can copy from you
2.Breakfast is great with lots of food varieties
3.All the machines at the gym work and because it's only open to hotel guests, it's almost never too crowded
B.IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED
1.The food room service team seems to get angry every time I order(happned a few times) or ask for breakfast(I only ordered breakfast once) to be delivered to my room. They take very long and the person delivery always looks unfriendly and angry. One time they simply ignored my order and blamed the person at reception
2. One of the cleaning ladies(not the fair completion one) in the hall where room 216 needs more training. One day she didn't clean my coffee table, didn't refill the coffee box and left no towel and was rude when i reminded her

Few staff members can speak English. No reply to emails. Even though my schedule was extended, the room key suddenly stopped working. The restaurant is expensive.

Amazing
3.6
It was good. The power drops are strange for me
3.6
One of the better hotels in Freetown and the name does not disappoint. Staff were attentive and reasonably professional.
Breakfast was quite good and covered all the basics. The rooms were well apportioned and clean.
3.6
Very unfortunate incident
Paid for a room I went there the room is not available
They had to give me a room that’s not to the standard I paid for
3.6
Insects and cockroach in room

We requested to be assigned a room on a specific floor it was done and we had great food during Ramadan, it was our second stay there and we are happy
3.6
On the website, I reserved one room with two beds. I had two stays. BOTH times they did not have a room with two beds for us. In fact, after my first night of sleeping on a rollaway, I went to the front desk and said I would be returning on March 28th and to please reserve a room with two beds. They did not. Frustrating.
3.6
Check out took almost 45 minutes despite no queue.
Trying to pay for incidentals in cash and getting change was a nightmare as the hotel literally had to go to a local store to get money.
No bag storage area either. They were bemused anyone would even need one.
Bring your own towel if you go for swim.
Unable to organize a taxi to sea ferry also meant I had a 2km walk in 30 degrees with my bags as ended up most efficient way of doing this such was the chaos at reception desk.
On the plus side the bar staff were very nice and the room was clean and pleasant. Food was good too. Gym was also pretty decent.
The reception staff like pulling teeth.

My husband and I spent an amazing 10 days at the Radisson Blu! Every member of staff, the breakfast (and dinner at Baw Restaurant), our room, the location and the hotel’s proximity to the beachfront, shopping and dinner and entertainment spots was superlative! We will certainly come back and had a fabulous time! My only area of improvement are the carpets in the hallways. They were old and should be replaced by the tiles in the rooms in time. Thank you for a wonderful visit to Sierra Leone and see you next time!

The Hotel is nice and people are nice also however more effort must be made by the new Manager Mr.Bah to respect Radisson 5 Star international standards.

Itinerary # 72681015410468
For several days onsite and email, I contacted front desk manager Mohamed Sesay to express concern about the uncomfortably loud and invasive music on the property among other concerns.
I understand that events will take place, but there is no reason that music should be so extremely loud that I can hear every base, song and voice in my room. My ears were constantly ringing due to the noise level. I did not sleep for days.
I spoke to the front desk representative, Moses Gasama, around 3am on 23rd, December, 2023 to continue to express my disappointment. I spoke to Mohamed Sesay whole on the property multiple times. I requested a 3 night partial refund of my 2 week stay which was paid in full. Mohamed Sesay has ignored my concerns.
I also mention to Mohamed Sesay that the guards at the security entrance gate of the hotel should not coerce or intimidate guests into placing Christmas donations in the box before opening the gate. Although I gave several daily donations, all guests should be free to give at their own will. Forcefully asking guests to put money in the box is unprofessional and should be addressed by management.
There are several other concerns I expressed. Brown water that expelled from the bathroom sink each morning. I have video recordings of this and the music. The ATM machines onsite did not work. Walls and floors of the entire property need cleaning. There were always roaches in the lobby bathroom next to the restaurant.

The food in the restaurant is terrible. The selection is almost worse if that's possible, the management staff is so poorly trained. The hotel is owned by the government which should tell you everything you need to know about how poor this country is, so that's how the country runs its hotel strongly urge no one to stay at this hotel Radisson should be a shame to have their name on this hotel
3.6
Compared to country situation it is OK

Our air conditioning was operating very poorly. We tried everything with the hotel to get them to fix it or move us to another room to no avIIl. They kept making false promises. The property is in shambles. They charge premium US dollars for all services but keep the hotel without maintenance and pay their staff very poorly. The gym is horrendous. A lot of work needs to be done here.
3.6
Great place to stay. Very freindly and capable staff. Hotel also very well uequipped with meeting rooms and facilities. Looking forward to coming back.
3.6
Not worth the money. I didn't expect luxury and I can forgive mistakes, but this was a disappointing and frustrating place to stay - especially given the cost relative to other options in Freetown. Some examples... No towels when I checked in. Only one brought when I asked. Shower couldn't be used without flooding the bathroom. AC was on for 24 hours but never reached 21 degrees. Key card deactivated twice. Gym was not well maintained. Least friendly staff I experienced in Sierra Leone (with a couple of exceptions). Good food though.
3.6
I Had a terrible experience. When I first arrived I sat at the bar and there was a roach. The staff did not seem to care which meant this was commonplace. Additionally, in my room there was BLACK MOLD in the bathroom on the ceiling if the shower and in the sink. I started to feel ill and left for another hotel.

Very descent

The food was bad. My first meal was fried rice and chicken but was salty. I ordered shrimp Alfredo the next day, they gave me chicken noodle. The phone in the room did not work until the 3rd day of my stay. They came the 2nd day attempting to fixing the problem but was unable to. The IT crews said they would be back in one hour but never did. The cleaning crew were amazing. They were professional and friendly. The receptionists were also friendly and helpful. They were easy to talk to.
3.6
Where arrived and the Sierra waiters would not wait on us . They did not clean our room. The hallway smelled like mold and our shower also had mold on the wall.
3.6
Overall, the place is safe and clean, staff is very helpful.
3.6
It was the worst stay, they literally stolen my money, i strongly recommend anyone not even think to stay at this hotel, go sleep at the beach then it's better.
3.6
I used to love this hotel, was the best of the country and up to Radisson standards. To say it has become dilapidated is a huge understatement. Lights blinking in halls, sink didn't drain, and worst of all was the service. I spent huge sums on room service only to have almost every order sit for at least an hour - cold soup, dry/cold rice, etc. I know things have been hard in Sierra Leone of late, but these problems just require more active management and oversight, not money, to fix! Radisson should replace the management at the hotel and get someone who will actually care about representing their brand.

Good property... could do with a facelift. Even the welcome carpet at the entrance looks like it needs a shower. Staff at the restaurant need to be more friendly and service oriented
3.6
Everything is wonderful. The staff is very courteous and very helpful. The rooms are very clean. It was an enjoyable quiet experience.
3.6
The water at the hotel is absolute disgusting, it smells like an old copper. It's very hard to even brush with it because of the way it smells and tast. Your body will even have a bad smell after you shower with it (it was like that for my entire 4 dsys of stay there). I stayed at another hotel nearby and their water was perfectly fine. The sevice at the hotel front desk and breakfast buffet is also terrible. The crew members at the buffet will rather focus their priorities on other cleaning duties than help you get a cup of coffee. Also, bringing a house shoe won't be a bad idea because the room floor is very dirty.

This property only carries the Raddison label. The service is poor and the sanitary conditions could be much better.
