Staff super helpful and friendly. This property is a little far from the city therefore need to take taxis. They do offer free shuttle service to 3 nearby beach and pick up. Limited to 2 restaurants on the property as everything outside property is far. Located in the mountains with breathtaking view but lots of mosquitoes when seated outside at night. Kind hotel staff that offers bugs spray complementary. This property has excellent wifi and offers a shared workspace with offices.

The Phangan Utopia Resort is a fantastic property that you will no doubt be happy you stayed. The rooms have a view that is second to none. My room is on the side of a cliff and you can see the blue water down below. If that was not enough miles of beautiful mountains surround you. There is an outside rain shower and the jacuzzi bathtub is also outside but private. It’s not everyday you can soak in a bathtub outside listening to the birds and watching fish breaking on the blue water below. The staff is as good as it gets. The people are friendly and helpful in every way . I can’t say enough about the wonderful staff. They helped me with my luggage, made breakfast, cooked dinner, tended bar, cleaned my room and even rented me a motor bike. They also told me where to go and how to get around the island while providing me a map. On a personal level we talked and laughed at the 360 bar that they also ran. The 360 bar is 200 meters up from the resort and it is an amazing bar that has the best view on the island and maybe one of the best views in the world. The best I have seen. The sun sets over Thailand and the sky treats you with a different work of art each and every night. When I left, the staff booked my ferry and taxied me to the port. She helped me check in and waited until I was settled. This is one of those experiences that has made my life better. Thank you .

Great, clean modern hotel set ontop of a hill over looking the ocean = great view!! Excellent service from hotel staff. A short 100m walk to lookout/roof top bar which is a magical place to watch the sun set. Surrounded by some of my favorite beaches in Thailand. Breakfast was all you can eat buffet, good quality. Best bang for buck hotel A+

A bit far from everything, be prepared to pay a lot for taxi or rent a scooter. i had a poolside room, which was good (except for 2 cockroaches), but the poolside bar was open until midnight playing pumping music so not really ideal for the kind of relaxing i was looking for. The view was nice, pool clean, but also kind of useless because of loud renovations/ shrieking drilling noise from 10am-. Not good for relaxing, day or night. The restaurant staff was really unorganized, i had 5 different people serving me, you can guess the chaos that resulted.. so getting the food took ages. I spent about 2 hours in total in the restaurant, left right after eating, maybe 20mins of that they had a power cut, so you can count the speed of things from that.. mango Shake was great, Panang curry cold when delivered and rice came like 10 min after and was even colder, so i sent it back and had finished the curry without rice before they came with the replacement (another 10-15mins). The curry was also the worst Ive had in thailand. Ate there only once.

The staff were lovely and helpful, the view was incredible, the pool was clean and had a stunning view and the uptopia fried rice from the restaurant was delicious. Loved being there and would visit Koh Phangan again just for that resort. Would highly recommend.

Avoid room U11. It has a rock garden in the shower/bathroom and therefore it has cockroaches and other bugs crawling in and out of it. Shower spray very weak and bed was uncomfortable. One front staff is fantastic and the other (with glasses) needs to be fired. Beautiful views, good breakfast. Nice pool, but we only went to the beach (via scooter - you need a scooter here, it is not close to anything). We were there for live music at the 360 restaurant and it was excellent. We had to come back for one night and had a better room - no bugs, but bed was still not good. I would look for somewhere else next time.

I love Utopia so much. They treat me like family. I've been to Ko Pha Ngan 4 times and 3 out of my 4 times I stayed at Utopia, and the one time I didn't I regretted it so much! It is a little far from the closest 7/11 but there is a free shuttle everyday by the hotel workers that will take you to the 3 popular beaches on Pha Ngan and then you can go to the 7/11 when you're at the beach. If you're looking for central Ko Pha Ngan and want to party and meet people at night then this isn't the place to go as it'll be hard to get home late at night. It is up a hill and taxis stop running early on the island.

The view are beautiful and the staff are very helpful. They did have a few issues with the credit card machine so just make sure to have cash on you just in case. It was a really good hotel.

Amazing, beautiful and relaxing oasis! If you are you are looking for privicy and adventure or to do nothing but sunbath and have cold drinks by the pool, Utopia offers it all!! We recommend this resort to all ages for a great experiance of Koh Phanang.

I stayed here for 3 nights recently & loved everything about it. The staff was always available to answer questions, the daily breakfast was a nice treat, the bungalows are cozy & clean, and its situated in the peaceful northern part of the island.

I only spent 3 nights at this resort but wish it was longer. Great location with beautiful views of both mountains and the coastline. The 360 bar is only a short walk up the hill with a picturesque sunset view.

Is situated on a mountain, so Only the Hotel restaurant to go to at night for dinner. Free shuttle bus to three beaches, good but slightly odd times. The pool is nice, beautiful view. Helpful girls in the reception. Can be slight problems with animals, but if you are lucky you won't see the lizards or spiders. We had rats in our room but we could change rooms without any discussion. Overall a good experience.

The room was very old, maybe over 20 year old and was very dirty there's no basic things like a hairdryer inside. The water pressure in the shower too weak takes a hour to clean away the shampoo. A lot of animals that nobody takes care of walking around. Some strange voice came from the wooden wall, maybe a rat. And a lot of ants and other things of this sort was traveling there everywhere. Nobody cleaned our room for 4 nights and mostly we was outside. The location is very bad far from evreything, the taxi super expensive starts from 200 baht, you should rent a motorcycle to get anywhere. The only good thing is the staff were very friendly and the restaurant was good and tasty. The guests there also was nice mostly couples.

The hotel is in a fabulous setting perched on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean with Koh Samui on the distant horizon. The TV was not as described and instead of an LCD was a very old CRT with only a couple of English speaking channels. There is no WIFI in the room. The staff were very friendly and polite. If it was not for the incredible views I would not be happy to pay more than 1,000 THB...it actually cost 2,100.Breakfast was ok but minimal....so called American consisted of 2 very small American style bacon rashers, two fried eggs and two undercooked pieces of toast. Only stayed 1 night so it was okay for that, but very isolated with little to do locally other than admire the views.

This place was the perfect resort getaway. The rooms are private and the sea view ones have open bathtubs and showers overlooking the bay which are spectacular. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. It is a long way from the party scene on the island so keep that in mind when booking for the full moon and/or jungle parties and taxi's can be harder to get. Overall its such a nice place, but more suited to a couple than a partygoer.
