Need of a good clean
3.2
Not bad value, but extremely good for local amenities
3.2
Arrived to find no toilet roll, no heating, no working tv, 2 wee milks to do 2 night and no shower gel.
Felt more like a hostel.
Breakfast cheap of the cheap
3.2
dirty, no code for the entrance, loud music from outside, smell of cigarettes, no isolated windows.. but a decent breakfast although very high on carbs
3.2
Arrived late in tge evening. Made a phone call and got easy access to my room. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel was quiet and git a good nights rest. Breakfast was plenty and good.
3.2
Service desk was not always manned. Radiator did not work but luckily I had an electric heater. Location of hotel is across from very busy and noisy pub meaning sleep was severely disrupted until 330am.
3.2
This hotel was awful. We had two nights booked. We only stayed the first night because we got in late and were exhausted. The room was filthy, the sheets were torn and tattered. The beds were uncomfortable. There was food bits under the beds that had not been vacuumed in quite some time. The room was noisy. We spoke with the front desk fellow and he came to the room to view. He agreed with our concerns and advised he receives a lot of complaints which he passes along to the owner. The owner apparently does not care and does nothing to remediate the issue. We did not stay the second night and did not receive a refund. The cost for the two nights was $799.00 Canadian. I would not recommend this hotel for my dog! I recommend Hotels.com take it off their site as an option.
3.2
Good city centre location but the condition of room was very shabby and in desperate need of re-decoration!! Here are a few of the issues; stains on carpet; marks on walls; cracked tiles,
; shower head holder broken; heater broken off wall! Wi-Fi in room did not work at all which was frustrating as phone signal was very weak due to location of our room. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Overall for cost of room I think the condition really let it down. Staff were friendly and helpful.
3.2
Stay away.. not at all worth the price. Flithy flooring and bathroom with broken tiles. Finding room is a maze. No parking.
Definitely not meant for families.
3.2
the hotel was marked as being a "three star" and the pictures of the rooms seem to back that up. Unfortunately, that is not the actual case for the property; I've had better accommodations in a hostel. To be clear, the staff were doing their absolute best, and the continental breakfast was excellent. But the condition of the rooms were entirely unacceptable. Mattresses and pillows were old and deeply stained. Carpets, paint, and all room fixtures were dingy and rickety, leading to an air of unpleasant disuse. In one of our rooms, the window, once open, could not be properly shut again; in fact, it looked like there had been an attempt to screw the window shut that failed, with the screw still sticking out of the window frame. Incredibly angry that I paid the nightly rate I did for such a poor experience. And I felt very bad for the staff, because they were obviously not happy about the repair of the facility either and did not seem to be appropriately supported by the hotel owner(s).
3.2
The bathrooms are very bad. Ist all old and need to be repaire. Its way to expensive for what you get.
3.2
The bed was very uncomfortable. There is no hot water in the sink. No hair dryer in the room. Everything seemed old and outdated. Was woken up by a crowd of people outside our room in the alley.
3.2
Staff was friendly and helpful but drapes torn and not able to close, shower did not drain, toilet paper holder fell off the wall. The bed was comfortable and it is a convenient location in Inverness.
3.2
Cheap and cheerful
Great as I was just passing through
3.2
Poor
3.2
There was mold in the bathroom and cobwebs with flies and bugs in the hallway. The shower didn’t work in one bathroom and the shower door didn’t work in another. The staff didn’t stay at the desk until 10:00 pm as advertised and was not kind when called.
3.2
Clean and comfortable for one night. My bathroom did not have a mirror or any hooks to hang towels or clothes on. There was no shower gel provided, I had to use the handwash in the shower.
3.2
Friendly, clean and no frills. Fine for an overnight stay.
Would have liked a milk alternative at breakfast.
3.2
I wanted an inexpensive room while staying in Inverness for the night. This room had everything that I needed, a private bathroom with shower, a bed with a tv and a night stand. The rooms looked a little dated but I didnt care about that. There is a Chinese restaurant connected so I was able to get some take out and eat in my room since I was too tired to go out into town. It was right in the middle of a lot of restaurants and shopping so Im sure those who want to go out would have plenty of options.
3.2
The staff were very helpful.
3.2
The hotel itself is run down and needs a lots of work. Its location is poor because of the several pubs and the fact that they are allowed to open till 1am. Sleep was invasive. The WiFi was down for most of my stay which would have been a problem for those who rely on it. The breakfast was nice and room was clean. The staff are terribly overworked but under the circumstances were very pleasant especially Brendan, who was very helpful. Unfortunately that’s not enough for me to recommend or stay again.
3.2
Cold on arrival, sour milk at breakfast. Not happy.
3.2
Decent for the price room, no frills and with not much extra space, but enough for my needs and well located.
3.2
Internet did not work in our room (number 17).
The toilet was not clean.
Very poor breakfast.

Bugs bugs bugs. This place was disgusting. There were a lot of bugs because the window was left open, there were dead bugs that someone else had smashed still on the wall. There is a review from someone else saying there are bedbugs, I didn’t stay long enough to find out. The window sill was caked in dirt, dead bugs and just a few inches away was dried crusty bird poop because they hang out about 2 feet above the window. The curtains had brown goo on them. When you first open the front door downstairs, you’re hit with smell of butts or urine. I reserved 2 nights, but only stayed for about 15 minutes until I was able to book something else. Side note, someone was doing the hanky panky really really loud in the unmarked door across from reception. Sounded like a standing ovation in there with applause. The property refunded me for one out of two nights. Please look elsewhere!!!

Look for the price (£30 night) and nature of the trip (with friends over the weekend for football match in Dingwall) I have no problems in recommending this guest house.
100 yards from railway station, right in the middle of town.
However, I wouldn't recommend for family or couples
3.2
The hotel is only a four minute walk from the train station. The room was clean and cosy. But it was Brandon, at reception, who made staying here an exceptional experience for me. Everything I asked for was given a "No problem!" response.
3.2
It was great. I just needed to learn how to work the hot water in the shower. Lol.
It was just the area to be walking to get to my tour buses.
3.2
This hotel is centrally located but it was very loud until about 3am on the street it was on. People at the pubs screaming and yelling. This was a Monday night. I was there for one night then gone one night and then back again, the second time they tried to put me in a room that didn’t have face on the lock, had a hole in the bathroom door, and was tiny compared to the first night. I did go down and ask for another room and I was given the same room I had the first night. Note: I will say it was clean in the room but those beds need to be replaced they sink in the middle so much.
3.2
Enjoyed the continental breakfast. Easy access for the city night life. Only issue would be parking as street has only loading bays rather than parking, these are only available to park in after 6pm.
3.2
good value but poor service
3.2
The bed sheets seemed to have used before. The heating couldn’t be turned off. The bed nearly fell apart and, finally, the lamp needed to be replaced. Some reviews are more positive, so, maybe we were the unfortunate ones. The boy at reception really tried hard to set things right. Couldn’t blame him.
3.2
Very basic accommodation with a continental breakfast.
Good position in the city centre. Easy travel and parking nearby.
Needs a major uplift. Room was tiny with no hanging space and was expensive for what was on offer.
3.2
Listen to the rest of the reviews! There was blood on all of the bedding. I don't know what people are doing in this hotel but it was very unsanitary. The quilt, cover and pillows had blood on it.
On arrival I had to fix the shower and the shower was also mouldy.
The staff and location are really good however but if you don't want to stay in bloody sheets this is not for you.
I wish I read the rest of the reviews before booking. I also paid over £100 for this!
3.2
Very good location. 1st room very noisy, worn tattered rugs, bathroom window wouldn't close completely allowing adjacent bar noise in, very cold. Only 1 fire alarm alert.
Switched rooms, 2nd room had same worn out, tattered rugs, completely missing bathroom door handles (open holes in the door), curtains partially hanging but much quieter and warm! ~10 fire alarm alerts that night ....
3.2
The two people who work there were very lovely! The room felt old and cramped and the bed was not great if you have back issues. The fire alarm went off two nights in a row and it was pretty awful. The toilet kept running after flushing and the shower was a bit tricky to figure out. It was in a great location and was very cheap for a solo traveler. I wouldn’t necessarily stay there again if I didn’t need to but it got the job done!
3.2
Booked late due to previous business parameters but suited me perfectly. Situated right in the heart of Inverness train station two mins walk. Buffet style breakfast included in price will stay again when opportunity presents.
3.2
Awesome will be recommending
friendly helpful staff
local to all amenities
3.2
Got gloss paint on my jacket and luggage bag. There were wet paint signs in a couple of places but not explaining door frames were wet. Not happy
3.2
The only problem is that the Waverley is above other spaces and unfortunately there is no lift which I found a little difficult as stairs are awkward for me being disabled apart from that it's a fantastic place to stay
