Room was good, with a great view. Several times we did find the maintenance staffs keys (which contained all the room keys) in a closet or door with no one around. Also, our toilet had an issue flushing. But otherwise the room was great as described and again the view and location were great.

I loved my entire time spent at the Mayan Princess Hotel. From the minute I checked in, Natalie, Helen, the wonderfully sweet Housekeeping staff, and Security who ensured I was safe every night. Natalie and Helen at the Front Desk went above and beyond with their customer service. They always greeted me with Ms. Erica which is a very nice touch. There's multiple examples of them both going the extra mile and I was very grateful. Mayan Princess is the cutest boutique hotel. The room was perfect for me, the AC worked beautifully, the bed was comfy, the kitchenette was a nice addition, but mostly, the beachfront balcony. It's centrally located within San Pedro Town. It's a safe area with plenty to see and do around. I walked the area each day/evening and never felt unsafe. San Pedro is a lovely island with beautiful and kind people, an island I fell in love with, and would definitely stay at the Mayan Princess when I return. Thank you for making my solo vacation a great one. Feeling safe and cared for was a huge plus.

Loved the view and it was so convenient to have onsite babysitting so that we could go enjoy a day of excursions. Our babysitter was so sweet and she did a great job watching my daughter.

The location and view cannot be beat. The front desk help is excellent and very responsive. The rooms can use a few updates, but everything worked and was quite comfortable. The only things I did not like were the sargassum removal which was not done as frequently as the nearby businesses. Also, the sand moving project made it nearly impossible to access the beach from the front door. To get to the beach required walking around the block to the next road over that went to the beach

We really enjoyed this room. We stayed for three weeks and it made a nice home away from home. It was comfortable and clean. The location is right on the beach and close to lots of restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay at the Mayan Princess again.

The staff were super friendly and polite, the assisted us in getting gold carts, food and other needs as the trip was a last minute one. The convenience of the aforementioned also comes into play due to everything being planned last minute on my part. 5/5 and would recommend!

Dog barking at night woke us up a lot.

I loved the beachfront location. Also, it is central to the downtown area so easy to walk to most of the restaurants, shops and bars. The staff were friendly and helpful at times, but many were new or not from San Pedro so couldn't help with recommendations. The beachfront location ,unfortunately, came with the inconvenience of noise. The beach area and pier were used as a playground for teens and families with small children and was extremely noisy throughout the day and into the evening. The pier is for guest only but there is no one to monitor so everyone uses it. Often all the chairs were occupied by locals. I was hit in the face with a soccer ball because the teens were allowed to play soccer on the pier. So, bottom line, if you like peace and quiet to relax or read, etc., this is not a good location.

A prime location with ocean views and lots of activity down on the water to watch. Very nice staff.

Clean, spacious, oceanfront view, good staff
We booked 2 weeks at the Mayan Princess. It is a clean, basic hotel & well situated in town. Spacious balcony - loved the hammock, but a lounger too would have been nice so we both had somewhere comfortable to sit out there. It’s a short walk south to better swimming areas. The staff was nice and helpful.
The kitchen was minimally stocked, no large bowls, cutting board, s&p shakers, storage containers etc. Maybe individual owners are responsible for outfitting their units, but a few more kitchen items would have been appreciated.
It is a noisy beach. A restaurant patio is close by. Intermittent construction, screaming kids play soccer until dark, barking dogs etc. Skip this place if you’re looking for quiet and relaxing.
The wifi is slow and drops out often. Black out drapes are desperately needed unless you can sleep with lights from the docks shining through your window all night and love waking up at the crack of dawn. We lasted all of 2 nights before we bought a curtain rod and black out panel for the opening between the kitchen and the bed.
Lastly, they do not provide multiple room keys. They give you the option of leaving your key at the front desk for the other person to pick up if they get back first.
Overall, we got what we paid for, but a few changes would have made our stay just a bit nicer. In the end we left 3 days early to go relax at a quieter property before heading home.

Stayed here during a birthday trip and the staff was great! Nathaly at the front desk was very helpful and provided good restaurants to try. The hotel is located in the heart of the town so it's within walking distance to everything. Beachfront and the hammock were the best parts.

For what you pay you can’t beat the location if you want to be close to all the dining options. Although, being in the center of town……there is a ton of traffic. Lots of golf carts. The hotel itself is older but very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating if needed. Great hotel with a beach access area.

This older hotel on the beach is newly updated and the staff was great. The beach is great people watching and we loved the kids soccer game weekend afternoons. It is busy on the beach, you are in town but we knew that. The AC was great, fans, really nice towels and the lit kitchen was all we needed. Every room has a covered outdoor area with a table and chairs! It can be noisy , not great insulation but we slept fine! Go there!

It's on the water and on a busy road but because there's a building in front of it, the rooms are actually very quiet for being in town. Lots of spots to walk to from the hotel too. Great location. Will book again.

Really happy with my stay here. The staff (along with everyone I encountered in San Pedro) were really friendly and helpful. The room was perfect with the view, space, and layout. Only drawbacks are the flies that were in my balcony (asked a staff member to help with that and they did), I was worried the shower would run out of hot water (one time though) and it would be nice to add a full length mirror in the room. Otherwise, I'd stay here again.

The French doors opened to the balcony was so relaxing with the morning and evening breeze. Nice view. Suite was very spacious and full kitchen. No complaints.

San Pedro, on Ambergris Caye is a great place to vacation. The main entrance is in a typical San Pedro alley with a simple sign. You walk in to the hotel and is a really surprising, well taken care of and decorated with care. The kitchen was a full kitchen including a toaster, dishes, 2 stove top burners and small fridge with a good sized freezer. The balcony is large and overlooks the beach and boats. There are tons of restaurants near by! The Black Pearl and The Farmhouse restaurants and right next door. The Black Pearl has really good food! On Friday nights they have live music. We went to the Farmhouse for a quick breakfast.
The hotel is about 5-7 minutes away from the San Pedro airport
