We had a two-night stay reserved and chose this hotel because of competitive pricing and the fact that they offered parking - which can be hard to find in downtown Reykjavik. We wrote to the hotel more than a month in advance informing of the need for parking and requesting a reservation of a parking spot. However, upon arrival, I was greeted by a very impolite front desk clerk who told me there was no parking available and suggested I might find free parking in the street (P4 parking is free on weekends, but you have to drive around and try your luck to find an empty spot). I asked where I could stop the car to unload the bags and he just said the neighboring lot was private but that I "might" not get a fine if I were quick.
I found this a very poor welcome. It seems to me the hotel should not advertise parking if it can not offer it to the guests.
Other hotel staff was kind and welcoming but this one man should not be in service with that attitude.
Breakfast was included, as is usual in Iceland, and offered only cold food choices, with a modest variety.
Soundproofing was subpar in rooms - we got woken up by vacuuming by cleaning staff and other guests walking above both days.
The only toiletry avaliable is shower gel, whish doubles as shampoo (if you want to risk it). No conditioner, body lotion, shower cap or any of the usual amenities.

Staff was friendly and always helped. Room was small (this is part of Europe by the way) but had what we needed. The breakfast was amazing. Huge variety and plenty of excellent choices. Within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and main attractions. Highly recommend. We were lucky enough to snag one of the free parking spaces they provided.

Wonderful, would happily stay there again.

The staff was amazing. Super helpful and kind. They helped us secure parking and any questions we had were answered quickly and kindly.
4.6
The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the Storm 3 different nights during our Iceland & Greenland vacation.
The location is very easy for day trips as one of the bus stops is right in front.
A great food hall & Laugevagur shopping street is within a few blocks.
The front desk staff was so patient & helpful with any requests & the breakfast was really lovely.
Fourth floor has better views & window that opens.

This hotel was convenient, clean and had a great selection of food for breakfast. We could walk down to the water and walk around for food as well.
4.6
Very accommodating. Service was great. Receptionist Susana was outstanding. Breakfast was plentiful. Good location. Walkable to sites.
4.6
They would not let you go for the breakfast until 7:00 am. I had a bus pick up at 7:00 am in front of hotel.

I think IT is better to prepare 2 chairs in the room if two person stay.
4.6
My bed was not supportive, way too soft-room was small, but otherwise the facility was clean, staff extremely helpful

The room is room and comfortable. But the restaurant is relatively tiny. It is unacceptable to ask customers to park in outside parking lots when the official carpark has not enough space. I will not recommend it to self-drive travellers.
I also stay with Keahotels in Vik which is much much better, just cannot associate the two under one group.

Great staff

Nice property with easy walk to harbor area and restaurants. Would stay there again.

Clean, friendly staff, great breakfast, parking was not so great

Great breakfast

We chose this hotel based on great proximity to bus stop. Our airport shuttle took us to front door & our trip excursion picked up at front door. Plus this hotel had free breakfast. We were very satisfied with our 2 day stay. The front desk folks were wonderful. The breakfast buffet was great. Rooms clean……small but adequate.

we had a little trouble finding the property in our car.

It was a good option for all the expensive hotels around in Reykjavík.

Excellent 👍👍

Very nice hotel, and great breakfast

I really liked the location and it was a tour and Flybus pick up spot. We had 2 different rooms because we stayed before and after a 6 day tour around Iceland. In the first room the TV did not work and the staff couldn’t fix it. The shower didn’t drain properly and the floor got wet. The rooms are small, modern decor with comfortable beds. Breakfast was awesome! Unfortunately it starts at 7 am and lots of tours also start at 7. They charge for a takeaway breakfast. There was a food hall with a number of restaurants a 5 minute walk to get to. We ate there 3 times! All in all it was a good experience.
4.6
Central enough to be able to walk to the city center attractions.
A bit pricey and parking is very limited. Close by parking lots are available for a fee - depending on the time off day and weekday.
I'd stay here again if i wanted to stay in Reykjavik.

Clean, modern, and convenient. Bus stop #12 in front of the hotel building, which tour buses pick up location. Within 10 minutes to many restaurants and shops. Very friendly staff.
4.6
I would have loved liked a mini fridge in the room.
4.6
The property is in a great location to walk to shopping and restaurants, however there is very limited parking available and if you have to pay it is very expensive

We stayed the first night of our trip at the Storm hotel. The staff was friendly, breakfast in the morning was delicious. The beds were super comfortable. My only complaint is the parking issue. I wish they at least had a drop off zone in front of the hotel for baggage. There is no parking at the hotel so you are making multiple trips to and from the car that is parked blocks away.
4.6
The storm hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. Would stay again!
4.6
Good customer services. Excellent location as the bus stop is just opposite to the hotel. One negative comment is that the sinks on the toilets are just too tiny.
4.6
This was a perfect location to everything in the downtown core! Breakfast was spectacular especially for in lobby buffet style! Highly recommend!!
4.6
When we arrived at the hotel staff were not very pleasant. We had two rooms and 1 was ready for check in however they charged us an extra 35 euros to check in early. Our rooms were on the 1st floor by the kitchen and very loud. We asked to be moved but were told since we booked through Expedia they could not accommodate us. We are very pleasant people and not very demanding and always pleasant to the staff and therefore a little taken aback.
4.6
Very nice European style hotel. Scandanavian in design and feel. Bus stop for tours right out front! A few but not a lot of eating choices nearby.
4.6
The staff were really helpful. We parked in the small hotel car park which was great as we had an early start.
The size of the window meant the light (we stayed in the summer) was a little intrusive but we were on the top floor and it looked like the windows on the floors below were smaller
4.6
Hotel was New and clean. Modern hotel.
However the blackout curtains were poor quality and this is very important when there is only 3 hours of darkness at this time of year. Also the breakfast did not have much fruit and mostly pastries- small buffet for the size of hotel.
4.6
Small rooms but excellent staff and location.
4.6
Limited parking so be prepared to pay on the street. Great location. Walkable to any part of downtown. Easy walk to Thai restaurant one block away if weather is bad. Staff was a little cool but efficient enough. Lobby and breakfast area was clean and food was great. A bit crowded so overflow are was good. Do not recommend ground floor as it can be a little noisy. Love how KeaHotels has water and pastries available for guests during the day.
4.6
The hotel, the staff, the breakfast, and the location were perfect. The staff was so accommodating to me and others. I HIGHLY recommend this place
4.6
Good hotel, great location, staff friendly, the room is clean and the complimentary breakfast delicious. My only issue was the shower, it’s an open shower, no curtain and everything in the bathroom gets a bit wet however , i would stay again.
