Unfortunately this motel was the worst part of our drumheller trip.
When we arrived our room hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. Cob webs, carpets not vacuumed, dirty windows, crusty tables.
The room was absolutely infested with maple bugs. We understand that they are a seasonal pest that are hard to stop, we would have understood if it was 3 or 4, But it was 50+. The door seal was so bad the could and would come in the entire stay. I would wake up to bugs in my hair.
If all of that wasn't bad enough the room had a terrible smell that even an entire bottle of febreze couldn't fix.
All in all just spend the little bit extra and stay somewhere else.

One thing we didn't know about at check-in was that we could have had a discount on our food bill at Whiffs restaurant . We only found out later after dining there. It would have been nice to have been told this.

BAND AID JOB on updating the room. The workmanship of the upgrades was very poorly done. The kitchenette had a dirty dish cloth. The room was clean but it appeared there had been some previous water damage. Enough beds for a family of 6.

We booked from Monday through Friday. We swept and cleaned before use. No room maintenance for towels or anything else. The restaurant was closed for dinner as they apparently didn’t have adequate staff. It will not be on the itinerary for next trip.

Hotel was reasonable for summer season in Drumheller. It's a dated hotel, but the room was clean though. But floors were very squeaky and if anyone moved upstairs you heard everystep. Restaurant open 7 am to 2pm due to staffing issue. But staff we pleasant with any interaction we had with them.

This motel looks like a run down old apartment building. There are people who live there full time. The beds were very uncomfortable. The AC was a portable wall unit. The person who checked me in said that the details provided when i booked were incorrect so they had to put me in an "upgraded" suite. The pull out couch was more one of those little play couches kids have that fold out to be a thin mattress in the floor. No extra bedding or pillows were provided. Savings on breakfast at the attached restaurant was just 10% off. I feel like i left the place cleaner then when i arrived. Do not recommend this place at all.

Badlands motel is only walking distance to downtown. It was quiet and dog friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

The good: Our room was clean on arrival, the beds were comfortable. The chairs outside the rooms were great and we spent our evenings outside.
The not so good: The curtains didn't close all the way and covered the air conditioner making for a couple of hot nights and a bright room with the motel lights coming in the room. The blinds on the back window were broken and also let in a lot of light and didnt allow privacy from the people camping in the back. The floor inside and directly outside the bathroom was very soft and felt like someone would fall through at any moment, the bathroom fan also needed to be cleaned. Lastly, our room was not cleaned once during our 4 night stay so we did not get clean towels or more coffee.

We liked that that staff was receptive to our requests (cot bed, they lent us an anti-adhesive pan, extra pillow and bed sheet, late check-out). The door was secure. The beds were confortable enough. Small A/C unit, fridge, microwave worked fine. Hot water. Everything had just been cleaned properly.
One of the elements of the over wasn't working, so I had to fix it (electrical cable was disconnected). The cooking pan was peeling its coating it was so used/misused/old.Two doors cabinets need to be repaired and adjusted. Small burn marks on floor. Bathroom could use a refresh with bath and paint damage, office door still locked at 7:30am but opening hours on door said 7am.

3 adults checked in to: 1 facecloth, 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels - sharing a towel for showering?? Old and in need of repairs, stairs up to 2nd floor felt very unsafe under ripped carpet. Beds were clean and fairly comfortable. Arm chair looked dirty and worn, everything was cheap and in need of updating in out room. At $200 for the night I would expect better. Would likley not recommend or go back.

There were no outlets next to the bed to easy phone charging. The room smelled like wet carpet.

Excellent quality sleeping conditions and extremely reasonably priced. Staff are great, room is clean. Especially love sitting outside your door with the fabulous scenery in front of you as you enjoy a drink 🍸 or coffee ☕️!

The cleanliness of the motel room was absolutely awful. We left the next day and didn’t stay the 3 days we were supposed to. I couldn’t let my granddaughter touch the floor it was so bad. Took pictures of just how bad it was. Will never stay there again.

A quick one night stay. Reception was very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant onsite was only open until 2pm but plenty of other choices within walking distance.

Very affordable and off the busy path.

We stopped to stay on our visit to the Tyrell Museum. The staff was accommodating & friendly. The property is in need of updating so if you like a clean but nostalgic feel to your motel stay, I would recommend it. Plus they helped my son find his forgotten souvenir & were willing to help return it to us.
