Resort style, but still very peaceful and quiet! Definitely a great experience. I booked for my partners birthday and he already wants to return in September!

We stayed two nights. The washrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. There were plenty of bbq's for even the busiest of times. Aside from bringing your own food they have everything you could possibly need. Very friendly and welcoming environment. Would definitely consider staying again.

We stayed for 3 nights through the week, so not on the weekend. Property was very quiet and nice and relaxing. The Villas are nice and the bed super comfortable housekeeping didnot visit at all. Cooking in the shared kitchen is easy and well stocked. WiFi doesn't work.
Nice Property but not a return visit for us.

The service at this resort was outstanding. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and to make you feel at home. Will definitely return. The shared dining facilities make for a great way to meet new people.

The Chipmunks were fun to feed and play around with, even though my girlfriend got scared and ran away.

Did not allowed to check in because I had a kid with me.
My vacation was ruined just because I didnt read through all terms and conditions regarding age restriction in this resort.
This is a major restriction that changes the whole plan and needed to be highlighted clearly.
And of course, no refund is available !

Footprints Resort is a hybrid of a 1960's cabin getaway and a modern beach resort, which can be great or a disappointment, depending on expectations. I thought it was great, even though at the start of the season, to decompress and enjoy the peace and quiet. But if you expect all of the bells and whistles of the Mexican Riviera, this is unlikely to be for you.

Access to water toys was great. Some outdoor furniture impressive. Good access to cooking/eating spots. Communal kitchen gave access to lots of tools and big appliances. Unfortunately cleanliness was a huge challenge since tea towels and paper towels were used up after one meal and never replaced! Lake lot smaller than pictures. Not impressed with tents right in front of our expensive rooms, with loud partying until after 3 am. Tents and RV’s should have separate space. Enjoyed fire pits. Overall pleasant experience but overpriced! Please have signage for rooms such as “do not disturb” since we encountered somebody/staff coming out of our room which we had locked!

The private lake was priceless, we spent the day on the large dock. There is a nice white sandy beach as well. Ww met some great people who we would cook our meals with & dine together at an outdoor kitchen, which was well stocked. The staff gets the fire pits ready where we would spend our nights. We will be returning

Went to this resort over the Labor day weekend.Place is small, the lake is very small more like a pond to me.Water activities is not par with resort with similar price range. There's only a couple of watercraft you can avail and they all look worn out, not enough equipment's if property is fully booked. The lifejackets are old, I believe the resort owner should consider updating them if they continue to charge a hefty price for the amenities, there's a small hot tub but closed at that time due to covid. There are multiple kitchens, so cooking our meal was not a problem, they offer propane bbq grills as well. There's about 3 Bonfire area, at my stay we didn't get a chance to hang out there since it got filled out fast so we decided to stay in the common room where there's a acoustic guitar and a set of conga. My group played music there till pass midnight and then we had a very bad experienced with one of the staff.BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. One of the guy staff went to the common room out of nowhere and just yelled at us to stop playing music and threatened to kick us out of the property as he is claiming people were complaining about the noise.First off, you can always, ASK NICELY to tone down or wrap up if there's a noise curfew. Second, you don't treat your paying guest like that, yelling at them and threatening them out your property. I would never come back here. For those you want to try, it may be for you but consider yourself brief.

Second time weve been - great place, great people. If you want to hang out with likeminded folk, weekends are great fun! If youre looking for quiet and seclusion, weekdays are better. But either is great fun!

Footprints was an interesting resort. Really laid back. People staying there were welcoming and friendly. Was surprised to find out that air conditioning in the unit was an extra charge of $20CAN a day over and above the daily rate. The location was very quiet and relaxing about 25 minutes north and west of Bancroft. Be warned - use a GPS to locate the property-- there is no signage at the road or any signs on the property for that matter indicating the resort is up the short road off of the secondary highway. There is only the roadside number on a very small sign, easily missed as you round the bend on the highway. Once on the property there are several buildings and campsites but no signage as to where to check in/out. Ask the people there where to find someone that works there. There is a phone number on a sign in one of the central buildings that you can call to get someone who works there.

A beautifully renovated property with lovely spots for individuals, couples or groups to lounge and socialize. Enjoyed reading on the deck, chatting in the conversation pool (and cooling off), and the various fire pits hosted laughing groups into the evening.

This is a self sufficiency property that houses everything from tents to Rvs. You can stay in a cabana that is quite small or a motel style room. Dont stay in units on either side of #3 as it is the communal shower and operates at all hours and is quite noisy. We stayed in the king bed cabin but stubbed our toes repeatedly as the furniture was too big for the space. There is no room service as advertised. The communal facilities worked out well. All of this is tolerable as a rustic vacation if the property was well maintained. It is such a pretty vista. The grounds suffered from lack of maintenance..grass needed to be cut, beach area groomed of overgrown shrubs and the shoreline and lake taken over by weeds. You need to go to the middle of the lake to swim free of underwater weeds. Much if the decking needed to be sanded and restaind/painted.There is value for money here if you are a camper but not so for the price of the king cabana.

It was a very enjoyable stay. The resort was clean and had everything you needed including fire wood, kayaks, canoe, paddle board at no extra cost. A private lake which was amazing since it made it like a private oasis. The kitchen was fabulous which provided utensils, pots, coffee maker, everything you need to make your meals. A great location and close to Bancroft.

This place is AMAZING! Its a beautiful place and the owners were very welcoming. The host, Jen was the nicest person and was very helpful. They made guest feel at home and the atmosphere was relaxing. I highly recommend this place to stay at whether in a room, cabin or camping trip. They have a lounge , private beach , hot tub and bbqs and fire pits. This is a 100 percent a perfect adult get away.

I was pleasantly surprised when my friend and I stayed for 2nights at this adult only retreat. It was the perfect mini break from the city and you can't help but relax with the gorgeous view of the lake. This private little treasure is still a work in progress but has all the earmarks of being a well sought after resort. The owners Matt and Amanda were lovely hosts and very accommodating. During the day we went hiking to nearby Egan Chutes, had a picnic lunch at the panoramic lookout at Eagles Nest and in the afternoon we soaked up the sun by the lake, kayaked, and swam. At night we barbecued steak at one of the many BBQs at the resort and later we joined the other couples around the fire and toasted marshmallows. We were definitely sad to leave and hope to be back again sometime soon.

It was a very nice getaway with friendly staff and a nice clean room. The one issue was that we did not have hot water. Might have been an issue just in our place but it was cold!
All in all, we would go again and definitely recommend the place to others.
