Room looks larger in pictures. For 5 people, it is a very tight fit. Pictures show that there’s a balcony but that’s a lie. I feel like they should state that only about 5 rooms of the whole hotel have balconies. Did not have an ice machine which was bothersome because not all guests like room temperature drinks. No elevators.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good too.

Great location. If I read correctly it is the oldest hotel in town. Rooms are on second floor, around the courtyard on the first, which is a restaurant. Would definitely describe the hotel as rusticly charming. The room was modern. Several town squares within a few minutes. Right in the middle of the historic area with several old churches around.

Friendly and excellent service

The hotel is beautiful, love the architecture. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The location is fantastic for the historic centre but as the entire courtyard is a restaurant it is very busy and noisy all day. No real place to take some time out and relax as the rooms are very small. We were there on the weekend so maybe weekdays are quieter. It’s nice to have a quiet place to relax when you want to take a break from the hustle/bustle outside. This hotel did not offer that.

Everything was excellent, front desk was went beyond their way thank you Gabby and a young lady for sending a taxi to pick us up. The taxi from the air port drop us in the wrong hotel at night. I called the hotel and the front desk never hesitated to help us she called a taxi to pick us up thank you!!! The stay was excellent the hotel has a restaurant, I recommend it food is amazing and staff is very friendly.

Great place to stay and service. It is an older hotel, but the location was perfect.

Friendly staff, clean, newly renovated rooms, and a wonderful location. We only have one minor complaint: our room had very little space for storing clothing or hooks to hang things on. Other than that we loved it.

I does not have a parking lot. You need to walk about a half of kilómetro to get it.
There was a big bug inside my room.

This is my second stay at Hotel Hidalgo, and I will stay there again next time I visit Queretaro. The rooms are simple but clean with modern. The staff is pleasant and efficient, and the hotel restaurant serves good food at an excellent price. The hotel is right in the middle of Centro within an easy walk of major attractions and shopping. The neighborhood is safe and full of life. Highly recommend, especially at these bargain prices.

We have stayed several times because of the location, courtyard dining option, good food, good music at times, pleasant atmosphere and good staff. You step off the street into another world and quite safe as well.

When I arrived to the lobby, I was offered my room without much delay. Little I knew the room was at 5 meters from the dinning area so I had ZERO privacy. Every time I walked in or out the patrons just stared at me and peeped inside. On top of that the room had a unpleasant odor. So I immediately returned to the lobby and asked for a exchange. The two employee looked at each other and giggled as if my request was funny. At the end, I was offered an exchange but at an additional cost. At that point I was so exhausted that I accept without complaining. The new room was much better but I found women hair on the bed. Maybe I am just picky. The hotel itself is nice and well located, but it is somewhat noisy since due to the closeness to downtown and the fact the hotel restaurant have live music in the afternoons. The new room had a king size bed which was confortable at least and the bathroom was small but clean. When I was about to checkout, an employee was helping another customer who seemed annoyed. It seemed she was having IT issues. After 10 min, I said I had to catch a flight so I asked if they could expedite the process. I end up asking if I could just leave the keys on the counter and the finally accepted. In my hurry, I left an umbrella in my room but to this day no one has ever called me or notify me about it. This says a lot about the staff as they may be secretly stealing so be careful with your belongings.

Loved the convenience of a restaurant I. The lobby. The location was amazing, walking distance to shops and plazas

Wonderful old hotel with great history and in a fantastic location in the center of this majestic old town. Excellent service from the front desk to the restaurant servers. Wonderful meals with traditional Mexican food. The hotel needs some tender loving care in a couple of spots. It's clean and beautiful - especially if you like colonial Mexico. Rooms are small but the value is good.
